  4. I've said for years now I think the networks screw this up trying to maximize complete game windows. I'm sure someone is making decisions off data but I'm convinced they are wrong. They should treat this like the NCAA tournament first round with staggered starts. Even in a 2 game window like last night, they should have scheduled puck drop for a little before 8PM CT targeting 2nd intermission of the early game. They should go to studio for a 2 minute recap then go to "puck drop" of our game on ESPN during 2nd intermission, have our game air on ESPN 2 until early game concludes, then it should work out where, absent OT, the early game would finish right as our 2nd period is about to start. So in addition to getting more casual viewership in central cities (only real 'fans' are going to stay up until 11:30 on a Monday), you might get more east coast hockey fans committed to actually finishing the late game. For example, I have a NYC client that is a big hockey fan that watched our first period but called it a night after that considering 2nd period would start around 11ET. Also, for us locally, the late starts really hurt building fandom for the kids as they can't stay up for this. If we win, when I get home, I leave a rally towel and a glow bracelets (they hand out at playoff games) set to green outside my son's door as a signal that we won (and if not there he knows we lost). He told me he asked Alexa what the score was before he fell asleep and it was 1-0 so I'm glad Wyatt scored fast enough he got to hear that before dozing off LOL.
  5. Pivoting away from Kneeps and my non-new tits, the signing of Sidberry + Carlton staying makes me think A-Mo is done with ball, or thinking about it, depending on how summer workouts go. I don't think Texas signs a PF (even with Jak leaving) if they felt comfortable with a Moore/Carlton tandem at the 4 next year. Now you're looking at a Sidberry/Carlton combo for a traditional PF spot, with the ability to go smaller with Booker/Crump at the 4.
  6. So apparently Jordon released a pic of this email from Bill B expressing his disappointment about how the PR for his book tour was going. Reading through there is a zero percent chance that Belichick wrote this email. Pretty clearly was written bv the 20 year old that isn't familiar with newspapers or headlines. UNC has to be at least a little worried that their new septuagenarian coach's girlfriend is writing his emails, no?
  7. Speeding away from high prices
  8. I was like holy shit they look wasted, sure enough whole article was him whining that he didn't mean it and he was blackout drunk. lol
  9. There aren't many places (any?) in Austin where you can get to the airport in an Uber for ~$25. And that's before a tip. Factor in where people are more likely to live who travel for work, which is most often not anywhere near the airport, and you can easily double that number. For those early morning work flights, we typically use Blacklane or another private car service, as Uber/Lyft are unreliable in the early A.M.
  10. 1) That mid-‘80s montage with shitty music accompaniment could it be more 1983-86. Just horribad. 2) Woody Harrelson would play soccer along with Goldie’s daughter (and @Napoleon) in barefoot 5v5 games at a house in Santa Monica 20 years into the future I bet neither of them ever thought that that would happen when they were filming this movie. She looks lovely, fun, and fresh in this photo. You never truly appreciate collagen until you suddenly notice that it is gone from all of the women around your age.
  11. Yup, Pato's Good Tacos. It burned down in a fire early 2000s. First place I ever had nopales tacos.
  12. so according to their FAQ, everything behind this 700 lb stack of plywood is detachable to convert into SUV mode. Seems safe.

  17. I don't blame the cop for pulling him over or even arresting him for the suspicion of driving while impaired. But to put the statements in the paperwork that have nothing to do with arrest but are derogatory to young men who have nothing to do with the arrest and fine entertainment establishments is just bush league.
  18. Here it is. The most anticipated game of the year decade. The Panthers are on a roll. Some say they're the hottest team in the country, after marching into Huntsville and sweeping Alabama A&M. We know how that worked out for Auburn and aggy... Prairie View A&M RHP Isaac Herrera (0-0, 7.94 ERA) vs. Texas LHP Kade Bing (2-0, 2.90 ERA)

  20. I remember in school they would have a simulation where the fire department came and reenacted what happens if you got into an accident drinking and driving. Sark needs to do this with the football players to practice getting pulled over so they can learn how to keep their mouths shut around the police.
  21. Stop there when I hit the coast. Enjoy everything. I also pick up cold links; use them for my shrimp boils in addition to eating.
  22. I've done it a hand full of times starting off a wake skate on my ass with behind a tow rope, and I needed to be right at 40 mph. I'd pull my buddy who was 5'6" 140 lb at right around 37 mph. Lots of fun until you fall.
