  1. Past hour
  2. He's also dumb as shit. Making way less money (especially after taxes) to go play in a shittier offense in a shittier conference. We could say, at least UCLA is a better school but we all know he didn't come here to play school. GG.
  3. Yup was about to make a reddit post about Pope Francis not living long enough to consciously see them win a MNC, he was 3 when they won it.
  4. I'll agree with the characterization of "weasel words." There was some ambiguity in his statements. I think it mostly fell down along the lines of being gay isn't a sin, but sex outside marriage is a sin (both heterosexual and homosexual). But he also pointed out that surrounding facts and circumstances may lessen the culpability for sinful behavior, even to the point of zero. So if you're in a homosexual union that has been blessed by the Church, does that lessen your culpability for having sex within that union to the point of zero? He left that pretty vague, but implied that that might be the case. So who the fuck knows? Cardinal Pizzaballa is probably one of the frontrunners at the conclave. No joke.
  5. Aaand the page reload after hitting enter above it’s fixed so thanks or nevermind.
  6. unfortunately, he was the roommate and best friend of a prominent Surly-ite.
  7. Ketch used the fake accounts to trash posters
  8. @immamac whatever this bar is called seems to have become untethered from the bottom on iOS
  9. Yeah well wait until you have to pay the Chemtrail patrol tax.
  10. I have been overweight. All my life I was fit, and admittedly it is easier because I come from a family with no obesity as they are health conscious. It also helps that I am almost 6'3", so I will have a higher base calorie burn. Then my brother, who I was very, very close to, died unexpectedly in my mid 30s and it wrecked me. Instead of running 4 miles 5x per week, lifting 3x per week, and eating right, I made poor choices. Ate too much. Drank too much. Became sedentary. Gained like 10 pounds a year over a period of years. I think subconsciously maybe I was trying to commit slow suicide. Got to where I could not easily do the things I love and realized I needed to stick around for my family, so I decided to make changes. I cut alcohol cold turkey more than 3 years ago. Started off exercising just by walking my dog. Then started walking more. Then started lifting weights and training for marathons. Now I sit around 190 (if I get lower than that I look like I have AIDs with my frame). Losing weight is simple. But it is not easy. You cannot look at it like a diet. But as a lifestyle change. Diets do not work long term. Healthy lifestyle changes do. Now your situation with medicine -- that is something I know nothing about so cannot judge. I would think you need medical intervention of some sort and wish you the very best.
  11. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/nfl-insider-2025-mock-draft-shedeur-sanders-falls-out-of-first-round-only-one-qb-taken-on-day-1/ Interesting mock - only QB taken in first is Ward (at 1 of course). Longhorns: Banks at 9 to Aints Golden at 12 to Jerrah Barron at 23 to Pack
  12. Seems to me that priests should be allowed to marry, but that doesn’t have anything to do with the whole pedophile problem the Church has.
  13. I forget who the analyst who was on Bloomberg pre-market. She was the derivative analyst for somebody, but she was talking about 5 levels of market fear (that was somebody else's thesis) Where we are at level two, and that the movement to level three was a usually violently downward. As I was driving away this morning made me wish I had taped her, as she had some other forward looking indicators she was watching, that I wanted to write down... She had a good analogy about the markets operating at a fixed level of a 30+ VIX for an extended period of time. It's sort of like an elevated heart rate. Over time it simply is not good for the patient due to the constant additional stress. Anyhow need to try and search her down later. I think there is indeed too much optimism, and some of it is political in nature, which is natural. And yes Fox News no longer really does news. Hell watch their "business" channel and try to glean any useful information? So for me, as a person betting against the market, networks specifically trying not to make their viewers informed regarding market risks (besides the gold commercials I used to laugh at) is good for me. When it is the most popular News Channel in the country? That's good for me too. As when reality does hit, it's going to be violent. As the wake up call to reality is going to be very, very rude. That's why I honestly pay attention to FOX's Sunday coverage. When the hard questions start getting asked there, it's time for me to move out of being short in all likelihood. But you think of the drop it took to start sort of asking moderately tough questions... Like I said I think a good degree of the current optimism is politically based, and Fox is sort of like a leading indicator, when tough questions come into play... for Republican guests...
  14. One of those weekends that makes all the boat ownership hassles worth it.
  15. Marrying alter boys? Progressive AF
  16. For those of you upset with the plot development, I'll just say that I was pretty pissed as well on my first play through of the game. Ended up liking the 2nd game more than the first. Although I get that it was polarizing and not all share my opinion.
  17. They talk about and so did LZ, apparently. I know we’ve all had a good laugh at what Elko and that old ass S&C rube are doing, but it really is unbelievable. They want an overweight roster, I guess to fit the image of their head coach. What’s headscratching in all of this is why they insist on getting involved with, and paying top dollar for, pass rushers. There has to be some delusion in there somewhere.
  18. Will he be attaching my rider, which will create a rigorous set of regulations regarding the for-profit exploitation of unicorns? We must ensure that we ban the use of unicorns to pull plows in this state -- such majestic creatures must not be used and harmed in the course of such menial tasks. I promise you, once those regulations are passed, you will never see a unicorn pulling a plow in this great state.
  19. Only because she was seen eating a meat stick in the dugout...
  20. Trump International Holy See Resorts, come, stay and kiss the ring
  21. Would seem like Tenn would have the natural advantage in terms of scheme.
  22. I know a lot of Catholics from around the country. None of them liked this Pope for his liberation theology views, including his condescending lectures on Muslim migrants while hiding behind walls and massive wealth, his failures dealing with pedophiles in the Church, and his kowtowing to China. They would prefer a Pope like JP2. Many believe allowing married priests would solve much of their issues caused by celibacy.
