that second song is a legit banger. really enjoyed that one as well as the slow tempo third song. i will seek these guys out...thanks, jimmy. the rest of the songs sound really nice too. that bass player is pure stage presence...lol. in my perfect world, that lead singer gives him a chance and changes his entire essence forever. that whole band is so mismatched in terms of stage presence...that girl gets to carry all the water.

It's fun to count the meth/murder shacks while cruising through Cooke county. That and the mobile homes with meth blast craters in the sides of them. -
Can't tell if this has been posted. I really thought they were going to explode after this

Ime would murder Young with his bare hands during a game after Trae lets his man blow by him for the 15th time in a row. -

Car Seat Headrest just released The Scholars last week, and it might be the next great rock opera album. Too many tracks to highlight, but I will say the 19 minute Planet Desperation could be a stand alone EP. As it's a concept album, it's best to listen start to finish. There's a lot to unpack with the lyrics and storyline, but man, does this album deliver on all fronts.

Also uh, the game’s fan base shouldn’t be surprised about Ellie being gay?

That was great entertainment yesterday. Count me in as a fan of Piastri, too. Like others have mentioned, it will be interesting to see how long McLaren let's him and Lando race. And holy crap, can't believe Hamilton managed to keep it on the road on the last turn. Ferrari better get it right quick in the car and on pit wall or they could find themselves behind Williams... if Williams can stay steady.

Worse, he took a class from me a couple of years ago. His dad is the head coach at Argyle HS, so I suspect that he's also on the future coach internship ride.

All things Apple, the tech not the fruit
Captainant replied to sachick's topic in Business and Markets
Apple is gonna get its peepee whacked pretty hardfor acting in bad faith with the courts. Their business model relies on the revenue stream from the captive transaction processing on their platform, it'll be interesting to see how this shakes out through appeals https://www.cbsnews.com/news/apple-violated-injunction-antitrust-case-judge-finds/ Although Gonzalez Rogers had rejected the monopoly claims, she ordered Apple to lower the barriers protecting its previously exclusive payment system for in-app digital transactions and allow developers to display links to alternative options. The Supreme Court rejected Apple's appeal in the case in January 2024. "In stark contrast to Apple's initial in-court testimony, contemporaneous business documents reveal that Apple knew exactly what it was doing and at every turn chose the most anticompetitive option," the judge wrote on Wednesday. She accused Apple's vice-president of finance Alex Roman of "outright" lying under oath. "Internally, (longtime Apple executive) Phillip Schiller had advocated that Apple comply with the injunction, but (CEO) Tim Cook ignored Schiller and instead allowed Chief Financial Officer Luca Maestri and his finance team to convince him otherwise. Cook chose poorly," Gonzalez Rogers wrote. The judge referred the matter to the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of California to investigate whether criminal contempt proceedings are appropriate. -
I follow a BA expat forum as I've considered buying a small place down there for my retirement years. There is a lot of talk by expats about how expensive day to day living has become the last couple of years. It's obviously related to their economic policies, but I've never bothered to learn the why of it. When I was there for a month last summer, I definitely noticed that everything seemed relatively a lot more expensive than my previous visits in 2015 and 2018. I also noticed the quality of the food, particularly the meat, had degraded quite of bit. I still love it down there, but I won't consider buying until they work through all this mess.

People were offended by your post. They can't take a joke. It's fake news. I had nothing to do with it! It was AI. I don't even own a dog!

It all ends up in the air, water, and soil no matter how many times it's used -
maybe he did do that. I get that Deion and his spawn are polarizing male entertainers. That doesn't mean that Deion and Shadeur don't actually take shit seriously. I would be very surprised if Deion was under the illusion that Shadeur would be able to walk into the NFL and not have a super high football IQ and not have a matching work ethic. We will see what happens through camp, but I don't think it'll be weird when it comes out that Shadeur isn't actually that shitty of a teammate and helps at minimum bring up the level of competition that is going on for QB1.

To this point, would you rather be remembered as one of the greatest offensive players in league history...but quite possibly the biggest choke artist in professional sports* with a weakness for the strip club lunch menu? Or, as a super flawed dude who also never won anything (other than an MVP) but played his ass off--good or bad--every time he touched the court who was generally beloved by teammates? It's tough. *Passing along some numbers that popped up on my socials: Career playoff games with under 4 FG made: Harden - 35 LeBron - 5 Steph - 3 KD - 2 Career playoff games with under 5 FG made: Harden - 55 LeBron - 9 Steph - 8 KD - 4 Career playoff games with as many turnovers as FGM: Harden - 42 LeBron - 17 Steph - 13 KD - 7 jesus christo

TIL about something called Black Dandyism. It's the theme of the 2025 Met Gala but more importantly, it helps to explain why black people like Cam Newton and Russ Westbrook and ASAP Rocky and Andre3000 and countless others would dress in ways that I thought were...interesting. It's not just the aesthetics, it was a statement against marginalization and how they rose above being marginalized and poor and second class citizens. At least that's what I just read. That being said, unless you have some real money, the average black surlyster trying to be a black dandy in their stacy adams and IWC suit are just going to look like cheap old unks.

With as many great track athletes as there are in Texas in men's and womens, why isn't Texas getting any? Wondering minds want to know.
