  1. Past hour
  2. Pedestrians too. Your post is spot on with the dangers on the road for all types of cycles, but in addition, the EVs are quiet and with inattentive drivers at the helm, it makes a bad situation worse. I don't think I can wear any more lights and reflective gear than I do (and this is day or night) and yet the number of close calls when having the right of way and in a zebra crossing has gotten to the point where I'm considering a head cam. The common refrain for drivers is "I didn't see them, officer" when in reality it is "I wasn't looking, officer." Drivers are taught not to admit fault, but the dead tell no tales...
  3. "I are not scammer for real" is what got me.
  4. Meh. Gimme under 6 in omaha
  5. alright now, that'll be enough of that bullshit.
  6. The Astros team currently is 17 outs above average. I believe that leads all of Major League Baseball. Jose Altuve, in left field- is 2 outs above average. I told everyone he’d be fine if he could catch the ball and I expected him to do so, he has. He went from maybe the worst defensive player in baseball in his position to above average/ that’s what the move to LF was about and it’s paying dividends. in addition to turning tough plays into outs better than anyone else the Astros have the fewest amount of unearned runs in baseball. This is obviously important. Still- with all that good defense going on their FIP is better than their era (or at least it was a couple days ago when I looked) meaning the pitchers are doing their job even better than their stellar numbers would indicate. This team is Yordan and Yainer heating up and hitting to their proven track record away from being a 100 win team (or at least playing at a 100 win pace) for a long time. If we can win today we will end April on a 92 win pace even with an offense that is performing like one of the worst in baseball while being populated with guys that can hit. Cam Smith has been very good defensively in RF. Meyers is gold glove caliber in CF. Altuve, as described above, is above average in LF. Paredes is above average at 3B and the other 3 infielders have all won gold gloves. This is a good team.
  7. That valuation obviously includes the celebrity status of the owners and the TV show. If they sold the team and were no longer personally promoting the team how much the value would fall!?
  8. I'm not debating on his standard within the top of the league or if he's worth it. That's a useless debate that has no winner here. Fact is, he's a good QB even if you think he's overpaid. But I was responding to the comment he made in regards to comparing Dak to whoever and the fuck is playing QB for Carolina.
  9. Mittens

    Below Deck

ngl, this looks like some good drama
  10. AJ Blubaugh's number will be 69
  11. The standard is a little different for the highest paid player in the league who accounts for nearly 20% of his team’s cap. Is he worth that?
  12. Would you rather be Team A or Team B: Team A made 20 red zone trips all season and scored on 19 of those trips - scoring percentage is 95%, good enough for second place in all of CFB in 2024. Team B made 100 red zone trips all season and scored on 80 of those trips - scoring percentage is 80%, sitting at 97th place in 2024. I hope your answer is Team B, because that's a team that probably made the CFP unless their defense was historically bad. Meanwhile, Team A finished third in the MAC. To me, "signal" means metrics that are related to a team's success, while "noise" are numbers that have an attention getting quality but don't actually mean anything. Red zone scoring presented as a percentage and rank feels a lot more like noise. Edit - actually, we don't even have to do a hypothetical. Would you rather be 2021 Texas or 2024 Texas?
  13. Lot of stupid in that vid. Dude just stared at as it comes right him. Gets bike run over by the flaming car that started from 20 yards away.
  14. The MyTSA app does that but I’ve never really checked the accuracy.
  15. Not sure what you mean by Dak's reluctance when he basically has the lowest "open Receiver" stats in the league. He's been dealing with WR's that simply can't separate his entire career outside of Amari and his elite route running. Thats' why I'm still pissed they've done absolutely nothing to help the passing game with a speedy or good #2 WR so far. And ya'll still forget he's actually made some mid to barely average WR's look much better. Cooks was thought to be done when he got here, so was Cobb. He helped both of them get paid again. Not to mention the TE's that have rolled thorugh here.
  16. He played all 4 years at one school? Is that allowed?
  17. This. No way I'm getting rid of a talking dog.
  18. That’s more of a byproduct of the war on men currently going on though. You’d be hard pressed to find instances of men getting bj’s or women being sexually objectified in any big movie the past couple of years. It is what it is.
  19. Oh c'mon even the biggest Dak hater isn't going to legit say the Carolina QB situation is better. At some point ya'll gotta stop this "Dak is the worst QB in the history of EVAHHH" gimmick and realize that he's pretty darn good. Even if you don't think he's "good enough" to take them anywhere.
  20. 4th&Five

    2025 ACL

Green Day seems to be playing every festival. Seems like a safe bet they’ll be a headliner.
  21. It sucks, and the only way it will change is the same way it changed back in the '90s. SCOTUS will have to force the state's hand. There is a zero percent chance the fundagelical voter base in the suburbs will tolerate their politicians taking a single thing away from them, as they are content letting inner city kids wallow in rat infested schools getting a crappy education as somehow, in their minds, they deserve it. The vast majority have no clue how their happy little suburban districts were built on the backs of Austin taxpayers and at the expense of inner city kids, and will argue over it even when presented with facts. As for the PB and West Texas in general, I went to a very poor rural school (no oil) that was in a district with places like Seminole (the heart of the current measles outbreak). They had their own indoor pool, a golf course, modern beautiful buildings, state of the art theater, etc. All paid for with oil and all in the middle nowhere. Any time we went there for athletic or academic competitions we always felt like the Clampetts visiting Beverly Hills. And it was always a long two hour busride back after getting our butts kicked in whatever competition we were there for. Thanks to recapture, my dinky little school has quadrupled in size and is now drowning in money. As we do with everything in this country, we overcorrected, and it's really difficult to find an equilibrium after that. We're just going to overcorrect again with vouchers, but I have to admit I'm intrigued to watch suburbanites finally wake up to what's going on in public education when their schools start losing tons of kids to all of the pop-up Jesus schools that are about to appear.
  22. I remember after the moral victory against Clemson in Dumbo's first year the following week Clay Travis was going on and on about how Dumbo will have the aggy's in the playoffs soon and will be a mainstay.
  23. Just can't wait to see him dropping bombs all over the place with the speedy WR's Now he'll need to learn when NOT to throw the deep ball...which he struggled a bit with against Miss ST I think. But he'll get it.
  24. Like a bunch of future picks one might obtain in exchange for trading one of the top 5 players in the world in the very early part of his prime? Yeah, that would have been nice.
  25. Wait, I thought there were no thots in Austin.
