  1. You're part of the problem. If enabling fuckers like you would man up then women wouldn't think they can get away with acting like spoiled shits who can't do anything for themselves. Stop being their man purse and get some respect.

  7. I never saw Collin fight for one short, or intermediate pass last season. Not one time. He had 5'9'' guys jumping over his back to knock the ball away all year. At a minimum, he needs to use his large frame to block out smaller DBs. Different story one jump balls in the endzone.

  8. Aggy will be officially in the rear view mirror for this recruiting class if and when NaNa and Wright commit. National signing day a few years ago was fun, but watching this staff work is such a eye opening experience of what Texas should be in the college football landscape. Recruiting is fun again ... possibly better than when Mack first started. The attention to detail and actually selling what is important to the kids and families while making them all feel as if they are the most important people in Austin is how it should be done. It is obvious that our talent level is going to be much better than it has been in over a decade. If we continue to improve execution during he season, avoid the injury bug, and get to the point where we do not have to rely on true freshman to win games, Texas will be dominant again and very soon. I feel it for the first time in a looong time. This program is stirring. It’s waking up and is about to start winning in a big way. I can’t wait until the Spring game and next season.

  12. The "resistance" reminds me of the patriotic fuck sticks that championed the erosion of our civil liberties post 9/11. Comparisons to Pearl Harbor are made and any criticism of their movement is labeled as being supportive of the enemy. "If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to worry about." "You are using Kremlin talking points."

  14. Well, Texas made a huge mistake that coincided with our on field fall-off. Throughout the '00s, we were winning games and the stadium was full. Those of us who had been longtime season ticket holders only had to pay for our tickets; a donation to the Longhorn Foundation was optional. If a person wanted to become a new season ticket holder, that person could get the best available seats for no donation (maybe top of the upper deck or endzone) or make a donation to "compete" for the best available seats in the stadium (yard lines). I am sure the change in policy had been discussed in Bellmont for a long time, but it was implemented by Steve Patterson in Charlie's first season, IIRC. Well, for one thing, we had been sucking for a while, so demand was already soft. The donation thing was just too much for some people. It made the cost of getting tickets more expensive, and it couldn't be reasonably justified. Personally, I was pissed off about the whole thing so I dragged my feet renewing and i accidentally missed the deadline. When I realized it and called in, they passed me to a rep for new season ticket sales, despite the fact that I had been a season ticket holder for 15 years, AND that no one had purchased my seats. I told them to fuck off, that those seats weren't worth what I had been paying, much less what they wanted me to pay with the donation added on. After sitting out that season, I have renewed, but it still rubs me the wrong way. No one refunded me any money when I was overpaying for shit seasons. I'm not sure how many more years I'll be purchasing tix because it's an all day ordeal to go to games and the value just hasn't been there. Hell, just back in The mid-90s, we were decent and all seats to all games were $20. Lately, we have been much worse than we were then and tickets have been much more expensive, even adjusted for inflation. They need to get the shit straight. Required donations for all seats is fucking stupid.

  18. This is the exact issue that I do believe is attributable to draft issues, but I also agree the relatively poor coaching and the "next man up" nonsense philosophy leads to a refusal to make proper adjustments for the obvious shortcomings in the roster. It's one big self propagating cycle of shit that leads to no NFC title games in 22 years even though they had a legitimate upper half of the league franchise QB for at least 10 of them.

  20. https://biglawbusiness.com/homeland-security-to-compile-database-of-journalists-bloggers/ DHS responded to those concerned: I get why they are doing this, and am surprised they weren't doing it before, since a lot of times, people on social media/bloggers/etc. pick up on happening events quicker, etc. But Trump and his folks are thin-skinned as fuck, and this would allow Trump to make even more claims of fake news. And there's no way it won't be abused if they are going to compile contact information, and an overview of everything that person has published.

  22. It's pay site manufactured bull$hIt. Of course common sense tells you that when UT is spending all of its resources securing the #3 class, they're going to start behind in some cases. Of course common sense tells you that once the staff turns all of its attention and resources on the 2019 class, things are going to change quickly with a lot of recruits such as NaNa. The pay sites create the roller coaster and the $9.95'ers pay to ride it. Now that Herman has his feet set, the late starts with recruits will be a thing of the past. Between the camps and constant visit schedule Herman has set up, we're seeing a ton of 2020 and even 2021 kids on campus, meaning we're the head start now.

  23. Agree with all that and actually think we should welcome it as well for utilitarian reasons. Mack in exile is still dangerous. Mack feeling like he's special and important can be valuable. Herman and CDC are either shrewd enough to recognize this or they just really like Mack. Either way I think it's the correct play.

  24. Saw a chick the other day southbound on Manchaca Road, blowing by a bunch of stopped rush-hour up traffic, using the right shoulder as a lane. Traffic was backed up all the way from the light at Slaughter, well past the one at Monarch. She was going at least 50+. Up ahead was the light at Monarch and I saw a northbound SUV about to make a left turn at the light, from Manchaca onto Monarch. Right then I told my boy there's about to be a wreck. She never hit her brakes or slowed at all as she approached the light on the shoulder. The SUV turned, & she t-boned him in the right side, sent him airborne, and into the front end of a pickup that was waiting at his red light on Monarch. BIG hit. Thankfully nobody was hurt too bad. Crazy bitch was totally clueless, oblivious to the fact she had even done even the slightest thing wrong. I was happy to be a witness for the pickup & suv drivers. Got calls from their insurance reps & both said the chick's insurance was trying to claim 50/50 responsibility, but with my statement, they had her dead to rights.

  25. Good lord, is this the state of Longhorn fandom? "Fan attendance has been falling off the last few years." I wonder why. Maybe it has something to do with the worst years in UT football history? "The student section is pretty vacant." See above. "I've been a donor for 35 years but now it's too expensive." You are grandfathered in. The only thing that's changed is you can actually buy beer where the normal folks sit. This year will not be the last. We are going to make a great run this year. Bet on it. I guarantee you everyone on this board will be snatching up all the tickets they can get. "Besides all games are on the tube.." And what games do you care about besides Longhorn games? Record anything that interests you, also the UT games. See above. "No lines to take a piss either." Piss your pants because I guarantee you I'll be doing the same when we stomp USC at home. Is this really the absolute state of shaggy/surlyhorns? Go to the damn game. There is nothing like the experience. The live band, the hype, the other side of the stadium screaming "Fight" after you scream "Texas." Even during the dark years, the only time I was almost as pumped as winning the natty was beating ND at home. I was there when they pushed our shit in at South Bend. That dark age is over. Get ready. That win won't even compare to whats coming. Everyone likes to feel sorry for themselves and scream "woe is me" when we're down. Fan attendance doesn't mean jack shit when we're losing. Horn the fuck up and get your ass in the stands. You know you want too. Don't regret on seeing the berth of a new era.

  26. I agree that the non-adult children should be permanently off limits unless they do something wrong enough to justify removing that protection and the First Lady should generally be left alone, but Hannity and for that matter anyone at Fox News is in no position to cast any stones after what they said about Michelle.

  29. He had a weird arc. His teams underperformed for several years, highlighted by five straight losses to ou, two of which were the most embarrassing displays I've ever seen by any team I care about. Then we had an absolutely great six-year run. Four BCS bowls and three wins. A national title, another that was stolen by an injury, and another chance that was stolen by voters. But we were finally where we should always be - contending most of the time and still winning 10 even in the rebuilding years. Then the wheels came off. Mack became surly and allowed entitlement to fester. In the last couple of years, he quit recruiting and our classes dropped into the 20s. He somehow managed to leave the program worse than he found it. I still maintain that Colt's injury ruined Mack. I suspect his plan was to beat Alabama and ride off into the sunset. I could be wrong about that, but regardless, the man was never the same after that. It broke his heart and his will followed. So, overall, it has to be said that Mack's teams underperformed more often than they met expectations. There's no denying it. It's also worth noting that I always trusted Mack to represent us well in the media and run a clean program. The importance of these things cannot be overstated. But "legend" is a strong word. I don't think 1 natty and 2 conference titles in 16 years is enough to get that title. Not at Texas.

  32. NOT obstructing justice would run counter to everything trump believes in and has based his entire life on. He’s a natural born liar who lies when he doesn’t need to, lies when its in his interest to do so, and lies when its not in his interest to do so. He fucks everyone over that he comes into contact with whether necessary or not. He’s a living breathing comic book character villain that when we grew up thought were make believe. Nope, the dude is real.

Put your kid down for a nap at tge same time every day, for a set time period. They can sleep or not, who gives a shit so long as I can forget they exist for two hours. f'n toddlers man
