  4. Wife wanted to make sure her glasses were clean since the last time she wore them she was sick with some sort of virus. She decided the best method to accomplish this was to put them in the microwave in one of our bottle sanitizing bags. Obviously they came out half melted and deformed. Obviously she missed the common sense course at Texas State.

  6. My last run to Ventura maybe ever. Moving the boat in 2 weeks to San Pedro. Hoping the close proximity to Catalina will get the fam more engaged. With both of my folks now passed, our 46 year connection to Oxnard is over. I will always keep the Nard near and dear to my heart, but regular trips to Catalina vs the once a year trips will hopefully make it worth it. Man dolphins are everywhere today

  7. Neither does starving out public education. You know, the foundation for self sufficiency and success. But that’s a core GOP value, too. Sorry. I moved in GOP circles for the past 30 years. I’ve met governors, Senators, etc. Not only does the party not get to claim any moral or theological high ground...it actually revels and delights in cruelty and suffering. I’ve seen it live, and in action. You’re lying to yourself. And nobody believes it but you.

  10. Jack Trice - Iowa State. Massively improved venue, raucous home crowds, wild tailgate scene. I'm biased as shit. Kinnick - Iowa. Really cool old stadium wedged into a residential neighborhood. Iowa fans party too. UNI Dome - Northern Iowa. FCS football indoors. It was fine, with that factored in. Elwood Olsen - Morningside. NAIA. My cousin played here. Half my family go at drunk in the parking lot before his final game, and basically brought a liter of whiskey into the game to keep warm. Pretty little stadium, and a good time. TCF Bank - Minnesota. Beautiful facility, shit tailgating, lame fanbase, but Grain Belt on tap. Maxwell Field - Winona State. DII, drank in Stadium out of flask. Sold out and rowdy. Stood on the edge of the end zone in unofficial student section. Memorial - Nebraska. Great venue, shit tailgating, shit fans. Faurot Field - Mizzou. the definition of average in all aspects. Bill Snyder Family - Kansas State. Passionate fans, facility has improved dramatically since my first visit. Very good tailgate scene. Slightly more reserved version of ISU. Memorial - Kansas. A dump, but in the cool old way. Surprisingly fun game day scene. Good mix of weird residential area bars and front yard tailgates. Fans much cooler than basketball season. Boone Pickens - Oklahoma State. Concourse areas surprisingly felt cheap. Everything else was great. Fantastic fans (very similar to us and KSU). Tailgating a little hampered due to lay out. Amon G. Carter - TCU. Beautiful facility. Solid tailgate. Fanbase a little disinterested, but universally friendly. Floyd Casey - Baylor. Irredeemable and terrible. Worst facility, fanbase, and town on the list. Darrell K Royal - Texas. Massive. Fans were awesome. Tailgate scene was spread out and inconveniet, but very fun. Kyle Field - Aggy. Pre SEC. Odd layout, and dingy. Tailgate was fun. Aggy fans were fun in one on one interactions. All that went out the window inside stadium. The cult is something else. It has to be observed to be believed. Infocision Stadium - Akron. Shockingly nice facility. Really not much of a fanbase to speak of. Most of them rooted for other schools. Fun little tailgate area. Exceeded expectations. Mountaineer Field - West Virginia. Fucking wild. Incredible fans. Coonskin hats, moonshine, weed. What else you want? Great tailgate. Stadium is a crappier Jack Trice.

  19. So I've debated bringing this thread back since the new site opened. sorry if this was a bad thing to bring over but the thread was my therapy so here it goes... Where it started: May 8th 2014 It's with a heavy heart I type this. Last Friday my wife and I got our ultra sound done at 19 weeks. We didn't find out until that night in front of close friends and family we found out we were having a boy. Well earlier after the ultra sound the nurse told us the baby was moving a lot so she couldn't get a good view of the head. So she booked us one for today and said they will get you a better picture of your baby :). We went to the hospital today and found out that my son has a misshaped head, his cleft pallets are both deformed, he has a hammer foot, and lastly that his left arm is bigger and puffer then the right and all that really worries them. Mrs bogeywon took a non invasive blood test after that we do not receive the results back till next Thursday. I'm not sure how this one ends fellas but right now it's hard to breath knowing I can't help my guy right now... Keep the little guy here in michigan in your thoughts down south .. what has happened since: we welcomed a beautiful baby girl Ivy Grace on August 12, 2015! She's awesome and makes everyday more enjoyable then the last. Since then we found out we are pregnant again with another GIRL! she's due 9/12/18. Lastly this thread was in nasty's on the old site so I threw it on Lulz because I'm assuming this is the new version of nasty's (mods move it to the proper forum if needed). ill post some pics later of the little one! thanks for listening everyone who showed support on my last thread you cant even begin to imagine how much you all helped! Go Blue and Hook em!

  22. There's a reason I said Jake Smith and Garrett Wilson should be the top 2 WRs on our board back when we we first offered him and Wilson wasn't even close to being ranked #1 WR in Texas (despite deserving it). Sucks we missed out on Garrett, but Jake Smith will be a true answer to many of our prayers. My call last year was on the glory of Cam Rising back when he committed to OU and said I would sing Herman's praises if he stole him (after we offered). Didn't think he'd actually pull it off, but he did. Let's hope my call is as good as last year's.

  24. The Russians didnt pay him. He was swayed by those Russian trolls. It's a sign of a weak mind and his is that, given his issues. It's sad. He was always a sort of hateful cuss. I remember when circa 2008, he crowed about calling into Ed Clements' show at the time. Ed had said that out of all games that season, Lubbock at Halloween worried him the most. Ed's reason was "strange things happen in Lubbock on Halloween." Swam called in and told him he thought that because he know nothing about football. And he was proud of that. Yeah, about that. A strange thing happened that Halloween in Lubbock.

  28. Texas college football stadiums (mostly from the sidelines): Texas DKR Baylor FCS Baylor McLane TCU SMU Texas Stadium SMU Ownby - I really enjoyed the simple old school intimate setting at this tiny stadium, like a 3A HS game or something. SMU Ford - really nice smaller venue that deserves a far better quality of home football program Aggy - several different incarnations, they all sucked, but the brainwashed Al Qaeda type crowd atmposhere is kind of fun to experience. Some good memories as I have witnessed some great classic aggy meltdowns at Pyle. Alamo Bowl Mary Hardin-Baylor - new stadium is quite nice Mary Hardin-Baylor at the old Tiger Field I've been to the Astrodome , but for indoor track, not football...wasn't really a fan of the dingy atmpsohere Cotton Bowl stadium, the obvious UT-OU and Cotton Bowl, a few other odd games, logistics and comforts are a bitch, smells like mildew, sidelines too cramped, but it has it's old school charm. AT&T Stadium, lots of good games there, Cotton Bowl, Big 12 Not-Texas stadiums The Rose Bowl stadium was the greatest atmosphere I have experienced. Saw a regular season game there between UCLA and Nebraska back in the 90s. Very scenic over the stadium, great crowd, it was the first time I really saw tailgating all over the place by both teams fans, very colorful and festive, perfect weather. The best chili dog I've ever eaten was in the Rose Bowl press box. It's also the only time I ever had to pay for a media pre-game meal, $5. But worth it. USC LA Coliseum - strangely, I have very little memory of this, so it must not have been as great as one would expect Stanford - saw Stanford vs Cal, great rivalry, stadium seemed about 50 years past due for demolition, but the atmosphere around the stadium was real nice Maryland U of Illinois Arizona Northwestern Colorado - most crowded sideline ever, they had seven guys operating one set of chains...fucking unreal That's all I can think of now. There were probably a few more. They were all groovy because it's college football

  30. Ms. Bechard is deeply distressed that someone has revealed that she allowed a gelatinous, half-amphibian half-man thing caterpillar across the bedroom on its belly like a walrus, bellowing like a dying elk, and then awkwardly mount her while his greasy jowls swung back and forth like a pendulum that had a pink bag of pus attached to the end while his wheezing sounds steadily rose to a high pitch and the pores on his back released misty steam and flatulence sounds while the room filled with an aroma that seemed like a fetid mixture of old ham, warm milk and feet. Respect for her privacy would be appreciated.

Ignore my kids in the distance on the jet ski for the sake of discussion. Also going to throw in a picture of my two and their favorite activity. Usually there are four back there riding but I don’t have a picture of that.

  34. i wasn't making the assertion Christians should find something to be radical about and then swim towards that goal. the tenets of faith Jesus and the apostles laid out do not change over time. they were laid out 2000+ years ago. they were liberal and counter-cultural then and they still are today. what should make Christians radical: - loving God through obedience - loving your neighbor - living a pure life above reproach, set apart as a part of the physical manifestation of Jesus, his church - having faith, joy, and hope in all circumstances we can't be holy by ourselves, that's made clear many times over. the more we submit to God's sanctifying work of the Spirit in us the more He changes us. submission and sanctification is an ongoing process involving prayer, meditation, and scripture. i think that's true to an extent. a lot of ND churches are megachurches with many campuses accounting for hundreds of thousands of members in the US alone. still other ND churches actually belong to a convention or denomination but still call themselves ND.

  36. I guess I roughly fall under the term if we're talking theology. I didn't vote for trump and consider his election a great moral failing by our country. He's morally unfit for office, corrupt, and generally a disaster. I also greatly dislike the politicization of the church. As bad as it's been for the country, it's much worse for the church. The anti-faith zealots should be rooting for a slow burn of politicized religion; not so much that we turn into the Taliban but enough that we're too busy marginalizing ourselves seeking worldly power to actually be the church. That said, the mental games you have to play to get from evangelicals largely supported trump to evangelicals are white supremists is pretty substantial. But hey, we all need a good enemy and it's easier if our enemies are somehow less than us.
