If you read between the lines in the recruiting updates he was posting you could tell that something was up. It's pretty subtle. From 5/3: There's no truth to the rumors that Leal is looking around, he's made a commitment and he knows how important commitments are and would never break the vows he's made, unlike some people I know. From 5/15: Hearing that Taurean Carter and Jeffrey Carter are a package deal, because they understand the importance of keeping a family together and won't split up simply because Jeffrey is too good for Taurean and has much better options available to him. From 6/10: The commitment of Kenyon Green is a huge get for Jimbo and he's really an impressive young man. I think that when this is all over me and him should get an apartment together. From 6/11: Three star offensive tackle Blake Trainor committed immediately after receiving his offer, because he knows that loyalty is the most important thing even if he had better offers out there.27 points

Those all sound like fine reasons to move. Do you apply this theory to people in their careers? Is it whining if your boss sucks or if you're passed over for promotions and take a job with another company that offers you better pay and a promotion? Is it really a problem if a kid is buried on a depth chart at Michigan but transfers to Purdue or Ball State where he can start? Seems like a good decision. You seem like a shitty judgmental person.11 points

Amazing that so many Americans fall for that bullshit from Trump. The NK nuclear threat is over because Trump trusts Kim. No real commitments, no verification, nothing. But the Iran deal must be broken by us, despite this administration repeatedly certifying their compliance, because, although the IAEA has full access to all known nuke development sites, there are procedural hurdles that must be passed before the IAEA can access any sites they suspect might be being used to circumvent the deal. (No evidence of which yet exists). Stellar work, Republicans.10 points

Not voting for Trump and supporting him now is a curious choice. He is far worse now than he had even suggested during the election. What has he done to earn your support?6 points

One thing about aggy culture that really strikes me as amazing is just how little critical thinking they are capable of. The type of person that embraces that which is aggy is accepting of their obsession with bonding social capital, along with the cringeworthy degree to which they use their symbols and rituals. Their obsession with hero worship causes them to believe that which is aggy is mythical in its greatness and held in awe by all persons. But their low emotional intelligence and low intellectual curiosity leads them to believe EVERY piece of bullshit they see that reinforces their misguided perceptions of aggy and aggy culture. They don't question a damned thing they are told (which makes sense, as their educational experience is one of rote learning and not meaningful learning). The overwhelming majority of aggys believe anything and everything they are told about aggy "history." That idiot from yesterday who rationalized that A&M indeed did provide more officers during WWII because, in his mind, the majority of Annapolis and West point graduates served as enlisted personnel during the war is a prime example. He wasn't going to question anything he was taught in Fish Camp, regardless of how much he had to skew the outside facts. A lot of aggy culture is built on outright dishonesty and a cultural lack of integrity. They not only lie to the world at large, they lie to themselves. But don't be too quick to write off all the garbage aggys spew as intentional lies. An amazing amount of what we see as dishonesty is the inability of aggys to process information and to think independently. That idiot last night lacks the intellectual capacity toi understand Annapolis and West point do not send most of their graduates into active duty at the rank of E-1. He was taught every aggy alumnus served during WWII (all but a very few a highly decorated senior officers), not a single UT alumnus did anything other than actively subvert the war effort at every opportunity, and both West Point and Annapolis sent most of their graduates to serve in the enlisted ranks (with very, very few ever being commissioned as officers). THAT is the world a number of aggy live in, and if you push them too hard to try to accept any different interpretation of history, they become increasingly agitated to the point of at least threatening physical violence. aggy culture is a sickness.6 points

lol "Lots of PARENTS of Korean War vets spoke to me". This fucking fuck just lies to lie. For no fucking reason. The Korean War ended 65 years ago! If the average serviceman was in their early 20s, the vets themselves are fucking 85-90 years old themselves. But their FUCKING PARENTS - a lot of them, in fact - begged you to get back their remains. Can no one in the media just look him in the face and call him a liar? Anyone?5 points

You know she has to be the reason he got his real estate licence in the first place. She was probably trying to guide him to a better paying career where he could spend more time with his kids. There's no way he'd do that on his own when he literally thought he was the best out of anyone at his profession anywhere. He probably made promises while getting his licence and she probably believed him. But when he gets his licence, he doesn't leave his 247 job... tension in the household. Then 247 finally fires him and he still doesn't start working in real estate and tries to start some new, crappier paying venture to still cover recruiting... He chooses his obsession over his family. She gives up. Him, being who he is, gets highly defensive and feels victimized by her, like he did nothing wrong and goes on the attack being petty, aggressive and extremely viscous... like he does with everyone he perceives as taking a shot at him. Nasty divorce... kids suffer.5 points

How could you watch and film your son crying like that and then just leave to go see a high school boy play football? Not only that, but then be so content with your actions that you decide to post the video on the internet?? Shit makes me ragey.5 points

j/k that pasta dish will be inspiration for whatever I cook tonight. I had to google that. That looks like a ton of work that turned out awesomely. That was said several times on TOS and it's holding true here. Real people cooking real food that they eat themselves. I love this thread. Thanks to all who post here and provide such inspiration.4 points

Seems to me that the SEC, old and new, isn't Texas ready... though UT needs to settle up with South Carolina and especially Vandy. They were a real power in the '20s when UT was last playing them. Last May was my dad's 80th birthday. To celebrate it, I bought my parents and me plane tickets to go to Italy and visit the towns were his ancestors lived. That's what was supposed to happen. What actually happened was that one week before the trip, my mom calls me to tell me that we had to cancel the trip because my dad fell, was taken to a hospital, and they did some kind of imaging and found a brain tumor. I didn't get to say happy birthday to him because he was not lucid. He died this morning. I'm glad he didn't suffer for very long.3 points

Stick with it. You don’t know me, but I promise it gets better. First few episodes of season 1 were like what you said. But eventually it switched to season-long story arcs that were more entertaining which were embedded in a series-long story line. Walter Goggins is also fantastic.3 points

Here's what I don't get: in the US Army before I received my commission as an officer I was clearly informed and instructed the penalties for officers committing violations of the UCMJ were more severe and, in adjudication, almost always held to the maximum allowable than standard rank and file. Heavy handed punishment against officers who violated the legal code was appreciated by the Officer corps because it helped keep the ranks clean of scumbags. Why can't we have increased penalty codes that are specialized for all public servants?3 points
