  1. Fox News will commemorate his passing with a photo of Boutros Boutros-Ghali.

  2. Simply having an "active" sex life would be a private detail not worth reporting on. Doing it in the football offices (fireable), with a co-worker (fireable) and getting it on video (maybe illegal or at least reckless) makes it kinda relevant to the matter of whether Urban Meyer should have kept this nutcase on the staff. Which is what Brett McMurphy is reporting on.

  3. No, this is exactly how you do it. First, it has already been established that both Urban and Smith are liars. Smith publicly states he never did any violence to her. 30 minutes later, McMurphy releases text exchanges indicating Smith apologized for choking his ex-wife. Oops. Urban lied at least 9 times to the media at the Big 10 Media day. These facts are not in dispute. Three days before Bucknuts is going to conclude its investigation, the information regarding the sex toys and public disclosure of his johnson are disclosed. The timing was perfect. During the investigation, Bucknuts undoubtedly asked Smith if there was any other incriminating or embarrassing incidents. Smith, being the liar he is, no doubt denied anything else. Right before the investigation is set to close, the new information is released. Not only is his credibility hit again with the general public, but this information release was targeted at the investigative committee. Now, any logical person believes that McMurphy has more damning information. Why release it now? Wait until Bucknuts suspends Urban for the first half of one game, then drop the bomb shell. That forces ohio state (the ou of the Big 10) to reevaluate and potentially gets outside pressure ramped out. McMurphy is playing the long game. Bucknuts is not.

  4. Xr4. I do not think anyone in here would argue there is no abuse of social assistance programs. There are certainly people that misuse the system and no one here would argue that someone who clearly doesn't meet the criteria for assistance-- like your disabled abled body truck driver -- should receive it. The thing is, the vast majority of those receiving assistance do need it, and it would be impossible to make the assistance available to those who deserve it without a limited number of abuse cases. The problem with your worldview is you see the exceptions and assume it's the norm. There's a way to avoid this error called research and statistics, but you admitted above that you've chosen not to do that. I'm glad your life has worked out where you have the opportunity to work hard to own a HUD building. But things don't go that way for everyone, and we've made a decision as a wealthy society to attempt create a floor on standard of living. And yes that floor in the 21st century includes a/c and a phone. Oh, the horror.

  6. Mcmurphy hold back information is an example of good journalism he is letting OSU and Meyer hang themselves. If he just simple let all the info out a once OSU and Meyer would just craft a story around it whether true or not, and everybody would just move on by not showing his full hand he is forcing them to be truthful or run the risk of being caught in a lie.

  8. I'm not a 9.95er, but I can't be that much worse than them, right? Here's my guess on the 2-deep against Maryland: Offense QB: Ehlinger OR Buechele RB: Watson OR Ingram XWR: C. Johnson, Eagles HWR: LJH, Jamison OR J. Moore ZWR: Devin Duvernay, Burt LT: Anderson, Okafor OR Cosmi LG: Vahe, Hudson 😄 Shack, Kerstetter RG: Rodriguez, Imade RT: Kerstetter, Okafor OR Cosmi YTE: A. Beck, Brewer Defense DE: Hager, Bimage NT: Nelson, Wilbon DE: Omenihu, Graham BLB: McCulloch, Ossai, Vaughns (listing three here in case Shark isn't healthy) MLB: Roach, McCulloch ROV: G. Johnson, Townsend CB: K. Boyd, Cook BS: Sterns, Brown FS: B. Jones, Foster CB: Davis, Boyce NB: Locke, J. Thompson Special Teams K: Dicker P: Bujcevski DS: Holbrook, ??? KR: Jamison, Devin Duvernay ; Porter, J. Moore PR: Heard, Jamison I think Sam's the starter, but I wouldn't put it past Herman to leave it up in the air until kickoff. Rising is QB3, regardless. I could see any combination of Ingram, Watson, and Young being in the two-deep, whether it's an either/or lineup or a clear pecking order. I'll believe Kirk Johnson makes it to gameday when I see it. On the OL, I feel most unsure about RT. If we end up starting with four down on defense, then bump Wilbon up to starter at DT, with Graham the primary backup. No idea who the second backup DT would be, maybe Ojomo or Chisholm? More likely we change fronts if we have to go that deep into the depth chart. LB is a clusterfuck beyond the starters. I doubt we see Townsend on the field in any capacity unless it's garbage time; once again I figure Orlando will change defenses or move one of the starters around instead of playing deep reserves. If we go dime, then I'll guess that we see Thompson or Foster at the Joker position. I think Dicker will win the placekicking competition outright. I could maybe see us using Rowland for PATs or something. I honestly have no idea at KR, but I think K. Boyd and LJH are too important to risk as the primary guys. I like Jamison at PR the best, but I could see the coaches not trusting him there just yet.

  9. From that link: McMurphy said the story was published on WatchStadium.com after being reviewed and vetted by multiple attorneys. Here is the entirety of McMurphy’s response: “Zach Smith was an employee at Ohio State, having sex with a subordinate in the football offices. He was taking photos of these acts, nude photos of himself in the facility and at an official team function at the White House, with a phone he conducts university business on. “The staff member he engaged in these sexual acts with (was) re-assigned to another department in 2015, but Zach was not disciplined. “Zach has all these sex items (more than 30 deliveries in a 12-week span) sent to him -- not at his home -- but his place of employment, a state university that receives both federal and state tax dollars. This is another example -- along with the 2009 domestic violence arrest at UF (University of Florida), 2013 drunk-driving arrest in Ohio and 2015 domestic violence incidents -- of Zach’s utter lack of credibility, because he continues to say Urban (Meyer) didn’t know anything. Yet they worked together for 11 years. “One last thing: I have not used one anonymous source in any of my reports and everything -- every single thing -- I’ve reported an employee or employees at Ohio State already had knowledge of. “Yet Zach Smith remained an Ohio State employee until it became public.”

  10. Triple cock rings, ball lifters, jock suspenders....what do you guys expect? It's says right there in his annual performance review that Urban expected Smith to work on his unit strength and unit behavior.

  12. Okay. We need to change the fucking title of this thread back to the original and take Herman's name out of it, unless someone comes with an actual fact that he had anything to do with this. Change it to the original thread name or add, yes Zach Smith is a scumbag. We can change it to Urbans here, national championship the next year and Urban had another heart attack the following year. Whatever it is, lets disassociate this with our coach and university.

  15. Wait... is someone going to argue that Donald Trump wouldn't like to round people up and kill them without due process? Does one of you want to seriously put forward an argument that Donald Trump thinks the rule of law is very important and loves the structure of government and law enforcement? Does anyone want to argue that he even knows how any of that shit works? Barack fucking Obama, the most milquetoast decorum-bot conceivable by the human mind, had no problem with the extrajudicial murder of basically whoever the fuck he wanted overseas via drone and funding opposition groups. Someone wants to argue Trump is MORE circumspect than Obama? This is the guy who thinks putting kids in diapers into concentration camps is a good way to deter people from crossing the border illegally and he's not even 2 years into his first term. He sees Nazis murdering people in the streets and publicly calls them "very fine people". He called for the execution of innocent young men in NY and remains unapologetic about it. This woman's crime is speaking the obvious truth in an uncomfortable way while everyone is trying to DECORUM in the face of absolute madness. This is what breaking "political correctness" actually looks like; when you strip the mask off when speaking to/about the powerful.

  16. I may have too much access to old information. Like I said, my opinion of the kid is based on his actions in high school. His dad was a piece of work, too. Wanted special treatment for his son. Wanted JP excused from certain work outs that he didn’t think his son needed to participate in. Constant gym selfies and look-at-me shit blasted on social media, but didn’t actually work out hard, if at all. Did not have the respect of his teammates or coaches. I’m sure TexPete has covered this stuff pretty thoroughly. All that said, I won’t ignore the possibility that the kid has had an awakening and learned some humility. I hope he has. I want young people to develop into contributing members of society, and I believe in redemption. If such a transformation has transpired, it’s happened in the last couple of years. I’m just telling you, he was a turd and a waste of potential all through high school. I never had any optimism for his success based 100% on his attitude and personality.

  18. can we engage with the common clay of the midwest in a thread not about this Texas senate race? Maybe a virtual porch where him and slorch can comfort each other with simple wisdom?

  19. Oatmeal - I’ll repeat a couple of things I’ve said on this thread for your benefit. 1) ideology aside, Ted Cruz is a bad senator. He’s mostly been running for President for 6 years and is essentially worthless from a constituent services perspective, which is the most important job a Senator has, so 2) he’s being outraised and generates little enthusiasm. That’s not just because Beto is overperforming, but because Republican donors and business people are tired of Ted Cruz’s schtick. As a result 3) This is a close race. You apparently don’t follow politics, but this whole beta/cuck/manlet/Middle-aged woman stuff makes your sound like you are deeply insecure, short and sexually frustrated in addition to not actually knowing why you support Cruz, by your own admission. But either way, this really isn’t about whether Beto wins. Cruz’s weakness and Beto’s relative strength and remarkable small donor fund raising prowess is causing a major resource drain on swing races. That’s the strategic value of Beto O’Rourke, win or lose. #realtalk

  20. Again, he had a jacked up thumb and ribs, and everyone with a brain saw that he was falling off as a passer because of it as the year went on. We had no viable backup so Shane was forced to throw with predictable results. The staff didn’t run Foreman 50 times that game because Shane was healthy. But go ahead and blame him. You’ll be lonely in that section.

  21. Lot of people here hanging signs around their neck saying I need to be indexing instead of stock picking, even in a market that has a stupidly high percent of people indexing. Model 3 production has done them in. They couldn't ramp it up like they needed to. They've chewed through the backlog of pricier Model 3s. They haven't made a profit filling those orders. They can't make the 35k base model profitably yet that's the one most people want. Sales of the S and X models are dropping. Basically every major car manufacturer have EV's on deck. Porsche is taking orders, Jaguar delivering in Europe. Tesla will use up the last of it's EV tax credits this quarter. All these other companies still have theirs. They are almost out of cash, burning it fast, have big debt repayments the last part of this year and early next year that they have to have the cash for ahead of time. They need to raise money but have not, probably because of the SEC investigation. Musk tweets probably added another billion or two in liability. The future is not a $420 go private financed by the Sauds or anyone else. The future is a get rid of Elon and go BK. Wipe out the debt, raise some money, hire a competent CEO, give the lemmings some shares in the new company and they have a slim chance of competing against the majors. More likely they wind up just liquidating the whole thing. They don't really have any magic tech. anyone needs. Despite what Elon says they are actually way behind in driverless. Solar City was a sham merger to bail Musk out. The whole thing is a house of cards. Oh and the Model 3's that have been shipped have been garbage. Paint bubbles, missing bolts and screws, panel fit garbage. Service centers are overwhelmed, parts are always on backorder. They need a lot of money just to fix that mess. What else? Multiple whistleblower lawsuits, a ton of Model S coming off lease in the next few months, maybe a recall needed on the suspension that seems to keep having wheels fall off.(maybe aluminum control arms isn't the way to go. https://www.google.com/search?q=tesla+aluminum+control+arms&rlz=1C1GGRV_enDE752US753&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiTkKy06_fcAhWGDpoKHY1SDg8QsAR6BAgFEAE&biw=1280&bih=663 ) The only chance they have is that in a bull market stupid stuff happens. But why would anyone pay 70bln for this, when they can buy Volvo for $30billion, or Mercedes for $60 billion. In the process you get a global company, great brand, making a profit, EV's about to ship, etc. etc.

Buchele can’t throw over the middle, self sacks every other play, and if his first read isn’t there, we fucked. I’m not buying any of this shit. There are 3 fucking years of evidence.

  30. We have had a grand total of two WRs drafted in the last ten years. So when everyone keeps repeating "no need to worry about WR, the state is always loaded" like a broken record it's kind of meaningless. Especially when we see TCU, Baylor, A&M, blOU, and OK. ST killing it at the position compared to us, all with in-state WRs. Meanwhile, Mehringer continues to alienate and mismanage the WRs we do bring in, while botching the recruitments of our top in-state targets. It's not hard to understand. Why are we content with continued mediocre coaching/recruiting at a position we've flat-out sucked at for the last ten years?

  37. What a load of shit. So much of this goes contrary to what more informed - even if they aren't locked in a- sources have said. Tre Watson just had the green jersey removed and has to most observers been excellent. Davion Curtis is surpassing Heard. Jamison... what should he have done better? He would have been a redshirt candidate if not for his potential in the return game. Patrick Hudson? How about we let him be healthy for a while. All D'Andre Christmas did was move from a potential transfer to a player who may see meaningful snaps. How is Caden Sterns camp not considered great? Kobe Boyce has bulked up from being a tiny mite and is fast as shit and the coaches have heaped praise on him and exhibit confidence in him, yet he was only sold? Bobby Burton needs to confine himself to Furry Fetish conventions.
