  7. It's so fucking crazy that there's a court filing in which a party is admitting guilt in coordinating with a political candidate who is now president to suppress damaging news that was within the public interest - AND WE AREN'T SURE IF IT'S GOING TO MATTER OR NOT! Fucking christ, just imagine the mushroom cloud if clinton or obama had done the same.

  8. DOTARD: "Trust me, Mexico will be paying for it ultimately. We have been very clear, and things are happening. They will ultimately be paying for the wall." PRESS: "But your asking for Congress to appropriate the funding out of the treasury. That means the American taxpayers are paying for it." DOTARD: "Trust me, Mexico will ultimately be paying for it. You're being very unfair in your comments. That's why the people don't trust you. It's all fake news." PRESS: "What do you mean that Mexico will ultimately be paying for an appropriation from the US Treasury?" DOTARD: "Trust me, things are happening. You're twisting facts. It's fake news. The people understand." DOTARD WORSHIPPERS: "Yay Trump, Fuck Mexico! They gonna pay for it! Fuck the fake news!"

  9. Lawyers don't know a damn thing about how to accomplish what you want to do. You should be asking a crazy person. So first off, demand that they bring an interpreter as you do not feel comfortable in English. Pick some non-common everybody-learned-some-in-high-school language, but not anything so rare that they can't find (and pay) a person to do it. Maybe something like Danish or Slovenian. We are talking boutique language, with slightly jacked-up rates. So when they talk to you in English, you pretend to wait until you hear it again in Danish or Slovenian. Then you mutter your reply (in English) into your phone, which you have set to auto-translate into Danish or Slovenian, and then you play or show the results to the interpreter, who is working by the hour and does not care if you drag things out.

  15. This is the second close associate of Donald Trump who will be required to have his butthole checked before he moves from room to room. At the current rate there will be other close associates who will get their buttholes checked. Logic is beginning to dictate that a close working relationship with Donald Trump will lead to having your butthole checked. The high likelihood of enduring multiple butthole checks eventually becomes an obstacle to acquiring talent for hire, as many people have a strong aversion to having their butthole checked. For example, Chief of Staff is a very prominent position that leads to even more prominence, but the position is sullied and becomes demeaning the moment you have to have your butthole checked. Having your butthole checked reduces your profile and can be humiliating. Weighing these pros and cons, these elite positions are rarely worth even one butthole check, much less multiple butthole checks.

  16. The West Virginia episode is what made him so great. He clearly didn't agree politically with most of the people he spent time with but he LISTENED and respected their views even if he disagreed with them. He was able to push aside the shit and see people for who they are and that for the most part is good. Sure there are assholes in the world but there are a shit ton more honest, heartfelt, and caring people that we just never hear about because everyone wants to label "the other side" as a bunch of assholes. Conversations over meals is important and UNDERSTANDING (not agreeing) but understanding why someone feels the way they do is a lost art in today's social media world. People are people and we are way more alike then different, we have just been conditioned to hate, it's sad really and the bubble of like minded people everyone surrounds themselves with is not good in the short term or long term. Fuck I hate that he is gone.

  20. This showdown today again makes me long for us to have the equivalent of a weekly "Question Time," like the Brits and the Aussies. Trump would have been forced to clown himself every week since his inauguration. He would have been at the mercy of not just Pelosi and Schumer but also Schiff, Harris, Warren, and [your favorite D inquisitor here]. Shit, even old farts like Leahy would shred him like an angry terrier's chew toy. Not only would it be must-see TV, but it would also demonstrate his idiocy and inability to think on his feet and create new stars in the opposition. We'd have a clearer view of who should be running in 2020. And, like, it would like bring in some accountability, man. We shouldn't have to rely on the White House press corps for that, and our president should not be able to hide behind shills like Spicer and Huckaby Sanders. Direct combat. That's what we need.

  21. WHY THE FUCK CANT SOMEONE CONCISELY ARTICULATE THE FOLLOWING QUESTION TO DOTARD: ”Mr President: i’m going to ask you a very direct question so I would appreciate a direct response. How did we go from your campaign promise that Mexico would pay for your wall to your demand today that the American taxpayers pay for the wall or you will shut down the government?“

  22. OK, I'm going to put something out there I probably shouldn't. I received $3.5mm from a negligence lawsuit against an equipment manufacturer when I was injured. If ANYONE thinks for one minute that is was worth it, they are beyond stupid. Do you think for a second that the money made one damned bit of difference? Hell no. I'd give $350mm to have had my health and leg back these past 22 years. Do you have any idea that all these years later I still have nightmares about the accident and find myself jumping out of bed screaming trying to get off the machine before I got crushed. Or how many damned things I was unable to do with my eight grandchildren over the years? Hell, I missed my oldest granddaughters birth because I was still in the hospital from the accident. I've seen and heard a lot of opinions and thoughts about catastrophic injuries over the years, but GD some guys take the fucking cake.

  27. The problem is that this is overcome by every school in the country that lives and dies by OOS recruiting. It's a 90 minute flight from St. Louis to Austin. If seeing the guy play, visit home, or even practice, is a problem, you find a way to ensure that the family or the player can get back and forth at will. This is done every fucking day by other programs and I don't give one fuck if the NCAA would frown on it. Boo hoo, go enforce something for once and then I will give a shit. There's not moral or legal compromise in ensuring that a player can travel to see parents and vice versa.

  29. So it's Romo's fault that Patrick Crayton dropped a pass to his numbers. It's his fault that idiot refs overturned Dez's catch. It's Romo's fault that Demarco decided that the playoff game was the time to fumble. It's Romo's fault that every time he led a late fourth quarter scoring drive the defense folded and gave the score right back within a minute or two. It's Romo's fault that ginger can't manage a clock and refuses to be aggressive. It's his fault Jerry drafted tight ends and loser backup QBs instead of defensive needs. Luckily mackey is only a small subset of supposed Cowboy fans who think their "hot takes" are interesting, like the smell of their own farts.

  31. Yeah...Anastasis’s “argument” above is some of the most semantic bullshit I’ve seen. Any functional government (even if it’s just the judicial branch that he says is a good idea) requires some revenue. Which must be collected. By something. We can argue about whether the agency we created to do that (the IRS) is doing a good or bad job, abuses its power, etc...but it’s a pretty core function of ALL governments.

  34. Here's the thing -- who did Northwestern play to get to that point. My example doesn't really work in this case because NW didn't play anybody and didn't really beat anybody either. But with an 8-team playoff (five P5 conference champs, best G5 team and two at-larges) you are at least putting together a template that creates a clear path for every P5 team to win the national championship. Job 1 -- win your fucking division/conference. If you do that, you're in. The rest is window dressing, i.e. seeding. That's fair. That's democratic. It should've happened five years ago.

  36. I’m still not clear on when we’re supposed to follow the “Let’s not politicize a tragedy! Let’s wait for all the facts to come out and we should be focusing on the victims right now.” canard. Mass shooting? Wait and see. Terror attack? Politicize away. That about correct?

  37. Your act is so tired. You realize everyone here sees through it, right? And you’re damn right I’ll fat shame Fat Trump Senior and Junior. Do I really have to list out all the low blows and personal shots those two shitfarts have hurled at multiple people over the years? And guess what? Eric has a face that looks like smashed buttholes and Ivanka and Melania have had too much plastic surgery. They’re gross on the inside and gross on the outside and I don’t feel bad at all about shitting on everything about that family. They’re garbage people. Fuck em. But keep up the “I’m so above it all and everyone else is not engaging in polite discourse”. Maybe someone dumber than you will actually buy your holier than thou act.

  39. My grandfather was a rare born Texan Republican...Rare for his time, anyway -- he was born in 1924, I think. His dad was from Massachusetts and brought his Republicanism with him. He hated paying taxes. And he hated paying for anything, period, including maintenance on the beautiful old house he bought in Houston's Museum District. It was as old as he was and he bought it in the late '60s for about $75k and kept it until 2000. He never installed central air or heat so his bills were outrageous, especially because he would only buy shitty second-hand window units from a Fred Sanford-type dude in Third Ward. He never would call in an exterminator, so the roaches had a field day, especially because we used paper sacks for the garbage. There were rats, but that was why he would acquire rescue mutt terriers. The idea of preventative maintenance was foreign to him, so the wiring rotted and an electrical fire broke out in the attic bedroom. He didn't repair the roof, so the rain got in, seeped down through the attic bedroom, and collapsed the plaster ceilings in two bedrooms. (Luckily, nobody was in either at the time.) It wasn't that he didn't have the money. He just had the magical thinking of the typical Republican. I don't need to pay for anything, ever, except for the things I want to pay for. In 2000 when he sold that wreck of a house he probably got about half the price he could have if he'd kept it in good shape. I see it as a metaphor for our country.
