God damn selfish Central American banana republics. The United States goes out of its way to interfere in their elections, steal their resources, and oppress their people, and what to they give us in return? Nothing! They just take, take, take.12 points

You are correct about Manafort, he is an operator who was specifically hired to do this job. It's not like he just stumbled into the campaign because he was cheap and needed a job because he could count votes at the convention like the cover story says. He's had an apartment in Trump tower for years and was known as Yanukovych's guy. Stone is a buffoon, but he's not reckless. He knew the stolen emails came from Russian and he worked to make sure the release of them was timed correctly. He's been in the game his entire life and knows what he was doing was wrong, but never thought he'd get caught. Don't forget that he was communicating with Assange, a known Russian asset, to facilitate all of it. Sure Jr. was an easy mark and amateur, but he was fucking thrilled to invite Russians to his dads office to get the dirt on Hillary. He's not that fucking stupid to think, "hey, this might not be a good idea to use an enemy of the United States to help us win an election." That shit doesn't fly and Trump's attempt cover it up on AF1 about adoptions makes it pretty clear they knew what he did was wrong. All of them. You forget that you had Flynn on the campaign, who is no amateur either who just happened to be at the dinner with Jill Stein before the campaign began. The judge just recently called him a fucking traitor to his face. This isn't some rag tag bunch of misfits like you want to claim. They may be dumbasses for thinking they could get away with it, but they sure as shit knew what the fuck they were doing. You may be right about Sessions, but he knew they meeting was wrong or he wouldn't have lied about it so many times. You don't lie if you aren't hiding something. No fucking clue what Page is all about. You conveniently forget the server in Trump Tower communicating with Alfa-Bank in Moscow during the election, Eric Prince and his meeting in the Seychelles with Russians, Trumps decades long attempts to build Trump Moscow, and his relationships that got him the Miss Universe pageant. This isn't some clown car bullshit that you want to keep throwing out there. I know it's disingenuous shit that you do, just like the "both siding" of every fucking political post on this board. It's like it's your job to minimize everything and sew doubt for the people not really paying attention. You spend way to much time on this board to not know what the hell is actually going on and you're obviously smart enough to know what you are doing and it's bogus. Just own it and fight for what you believe instead of this half ass attempt to sound reasonable. It's so old.9 points

On most every level, we are destroying/neglecting our seed stock. We are grinding our stored seeds to make more bread today, and the politicians happily point to the bounty on today's table....but we have far less to plant for tomorrow. Education is perhaps the most important thing that a healthy commonwealth can do. Right behind that is infrastructure. Those two things fuel commerce better than anything else. And we not only neglect those things, we purposefully rob from them to fund distractions. Your chances of being killed by a scary mooslem terrorist, who we spend billions upon billions to fight? 1 in a kajillion. Your chances of being killed by a criminal with a shitty education? A shitload higher. If we wanted to make ALL of the American people safer and more prosperous, our priorities would be education, basic healthcare, and infrastructure. Even if you're not a DIRECT beneficiary of those things, you will be an indirect beneficiary: the educated kid won't rob you, end up in jail at a high cost of incarceration, and will be a better and more profitable worker in your business. The mom working for you won't have to miss crucial days at work caring for a sick kid because he has basic healthcare and easy access to antibiotics for that nasty strep that's going around. And when mom gets sick, she gets it treated right away, missing only one day of work, instead of letting it turn into pneumonia, and missing 2 weeks. Improved roads and bridges mean that the widgets you need to finish the order for the Weigelman account won't get held up and delayed. These things aren't glamorous. But they are the foundation upon which our prosperity rests. And we're not only neglecting our foundation, we're jackhammering it away so we can use the chunks to build a neat garden wall for the top 1%. The stupidity. It burns.9 points

For my own sanity I unfollowed the President the United States on Twitter because he is a bat shit crazy narcissistic sociopath. At this point whether or not he is impeached is almost irrelevant. A Democratic led house will finally lead to some checks and balances. IMO, the fear mongering/brain washing from Fox News and Conservative Talk Radio being spewed on the public for the last 30 years is the sole reason. Republicans and Democrats aren't that far apart. We all want good education, healthcare and opportunity; just philosophical differences on the best way to achieve those goals. The Right is now so far beyond NeoCon, ChristianCon that they are almost unrecognizable as a political party. No one is coming to take your guns. The borders aren't being overrun with migrants....and if it is, you're hiring them as day laborers to work your fields and do your construction work. Hell municipalities and states are hiring contractors that have nothing but non resident aliens on their payroll to build and repair our roads. I did some back of the napkin math on the original 33 billion that DJT asked for in 2017 for the wall and border security. You could hire 6,600 more border guards and pay them each 50k a year for the next 100 years. Then, all of the money spent would be taxed and recycled back into the system. Not really sure why I'm typing this out other than hoping it will be cathartic and help cleanse my mind. In the words of a wise WarZone poster from 2007. "Fuck that puto."7 points

It's obvious at this point if it wasn't before that Donald J. Trump is the dumbest man to ever serve as president of the United States. He is truly a reflection of those who support him.7 points
-
Yeah, nobody is cheering for rape but when the perception of the individual conferences seems to play such a large part in the CFP committee's evaluations in determining who is worthy of the playoff I think it is best for the conference as a whole to have a good on the field reputation.7 points

I could have Trump out of the White House in like 2 months max if the DNC and D's in Congress would just follow my plan. Trump is clearly pathologically narcissistic, increasingly erratic, and paranoid. It's also clear that his mental faculties are on a swift decline. The fucker seems to be only semi-literate at this point and writes at an 8th grade level (charitably). All you'd need to do is properly invade his already-mushy brain and fuck up his headspace into oblivion. (1) Find the oldest, ugliest, grossest, mean-ass cunt female in Congress and make her speaker. Someone that would make Pelosi look like a bikini model and Elizabeth Warren a bible school kindergarten teacher. (2) Make that woman speaker immediately. Alternatively, find some district or state where Hillary Clinton could be appointed to replace a resigning congressman, and make her speaker immediately. The existing congressman will just have to take one for the team. (3) Hire around 10 of the country's top psychologists, psychotherapists, psychologists, and scholars that lead their fields in the study and treatment of narcissistic personality disorder. (4) Hire like 10 of the CIA and FBI's best retired interrogators, preferably skilled in psyops. (5) Hire a team of the country's best, most wicked, scathing insult comedians. Jeffrey Ross, Lisa Lampanelli, the "between two ferns" writers (Scott Aukerman, Zach Galifinakis, BJ Porter), Robert Smigel, etc. Get a group of 20 motherfuckers that can make a person cry or storm out of his own Comedy Central roast. (6) Have the "science team" and the CIA spooks identify with pinpoint precision the most terrifying, unmanageable fears of Trump. I mean, specific topics, people, and shit that will without question make him seethe with hellish angst. His weight, his fake hair, his fat ass, his age, his fake wealth, his d-list celebrity status, his intelligence, Obama, etc. (I have always suspected the apolitical personal stuff stings him the most). All angles are explored to identify subjects, tone, etc that will most disastrously cut into the hyperfragile maniac that every narcissist is beneath his surface. Even identify every single word Trump is most afraid of, e.g., "weak," "powerless," "loser," etc. (7) Have the scientists/intelligence dudes collaborate with the comedians to create a bank of like 3,000 tweets. Each tweet must be fiendishly razor sharp enough to push Trump's buttons on the level of "Well, that's because he'd rather have a puppet as President of the United States." Thousands of insults and observations for which Trump will have no fucking comeback or just a lame ass quip. (8) Every night at like 2:30am, the hideous old congresscrone speaker unleashes 2-3 tweets. Donald will end up not being able to get to sleep, either staying up late to swait for them or be chased out of bed at like 3:00am by his own paranoia. (9) Then, every single day during Fox and Friends, Every Democratic member of Congress retweets the speaker of the house's tweets from the night before. (10) The process is repeated relentlessly, and with escalating cruelty. (11) As needed, modifications and improvised adjustments are made to ensure maximum mental damage is inflicted. For example, Trump's "counterpunches" might either be mocked, or totally ignored. It will depend on what the science folk determine will drive him the most batshit. (12) Every Dem must undergo a mandatory consultation/prep meeting with the CIA/psychologist/comedian voltron any time he/she interacts with Trump, either in person or on the phone (13) The "Trump Mindfuck Supersquad Dream Team" and its psyops campaign causes Trump to enter some sort of vegetative fugue state or he suffers a shocking psychotic meltdown requiring his immediate impeachment and involuntary commitment to a psych ward. Or he dies of shame, I really don't care. Nancy, Chuck. Call me!6 points

So the theory now is that Cohen loaned his phone to someone who took it to Prague? THAT'S what we're running with? How about "Cohen was doing some real shady shit in Prague and is lying to cover his ass because he doesn't want to be executed"? Doesn't that get a little closer to the likely explanation?6 points

Yeah I don't understand people who refuse to acknowledge the changing paradigm in how college football is discussed today. We (and the conference as a whole) can't recruit an elite, top line defensive lineman to save our lives and it's totally due the constant propaganda these kids hear about the SEC. Anything we can do (or anyone else for that matter) to stamp out their PR campaign is ultimately good for us in my eyes.6 points

I'm shocked that the coach of a team that doesn't even have to win their division to be invited to the playoff and the AD of a team that isn't even in a conference and is all but guaranteed a playoff spot with only 1 loss are against expansion.5 points

The A&M financials are nothing remarkable, except for the fact that the ags announced a $4B capital campaign in 2015, in 2018 announced they had already raised $3B and by raising $3B the net financial position of the system actually dropped. They raised $3B and ended up worse off financially. Only aggys could pull that off. That happened because a new accounting standard kicked in for FY2018 that required a new method of recognizing total liabilities for pension benefits (mostly retiree health benefits). That accounting hit added over $2B to the aggy system pension liabilities and wiped out the increase in assets from the capital campaign. ' They are finally doing something about the dilapidated buildings on their campus and spending on capital assets. Next year, the endowment money the TAMU Foundation manage for SFA and Tarleton will need to be broken out which will affect the total the ags claim as their non-PUF endowment assets. The net financial position of the A&M System is about 1/6 that of UT and their total assets are less than 20% of UTs. Overall, A&M is a quaint, little organization that is only remarkable in their ability to be unremarkable.5 points

We used to call in and fuck with him all the time. I remember I called in once (‘97?) and was talking to him about Waco and how it was a conspiracy in front of my roommates and a few people who were unaware of his entertainment greatness. Well, half way through me agreeing with him on some bullshit pout I lost it and cracked up. Jig was up so I hung up right away. Dude, Jones flopped out. He went on a tirade calling me names and pointing into the camera. It was fucking insanely hilarious. I became a legend around my dorm because of it. The guy was just such a dopey tool. fast forward 25 years and I have an electrician doing some wireing in my kitchen and asked if I’d heard about Alex Jones. I laughed and told him the above story. He gets quite and immediately leaves without finishing the work. Knowing now he was a Jonestown nut, I called his boss and peeled some paint and got a refund. A couple months later the electrician was arrested sitting in his car around the corner from my house with a shit ton of loaded firearms. As my lawyer was filing the restraining order, we got news he had killed himself. True story.4 points

If they really wanted to be seen as a national candidate to be accepted into a P5 conference then they would take anything they can get. At this time i think they are happy with their year in and year out schedule and like have a good opportunity to go undefeated and claim a NC and complain that they are champs.4 points

The guy is the best in the business and was originally hired by Republicans worried about Trump. He was the damn station chief for MI6 in Moscow. People don't pay you that type of coin if he just makes up shit. He's not some political hack in Florida looking for weirdos who fake their Liberty University degree to be a State Senator. This guy is the real deal and I seriously doubt he's going to screw his reputation and future earnings potential to make shit up. He's a professional spy with serious contacts. If its not true, he's not going to put it in the report people pay a lot of money for.4 points

Oddly, there are people in charge of the university that see Texas as an institution of higher learning that also has a football team instead of a football team running a university.3 points
