Later she wondered what the early humans thought when they saw stuff like eclipses. And I thought to myself "probably the same things you think."19 points

When Majors commits this week, that’s 2 of 5 OL targets for the class. I don’t know when Garth will go public, probably later in the spring but that’s 3. Then you wind up focusing heavily on Lindberg and George. That would be a damned good group to sign. They look damned good with this group. 4 DLs in Unmailienalienalien, Collins, Dorbah and Broughton, if Broughton can avoid Will fucking Lyles. They look good with this crew. Omeire is in the mold of Collin Johnson. Mookie Cooper is as explosive as the two slots from this past class. Let’s say they can close both for a 2 man WR crew. They look good with these targets. Card. Eh, there’s the qb. Evans and Jordan at TB. McGowan leaves the state and McLellan goes to okie? I’d take that. McLellan is an Aledo TB. He’s terrific, but they take a lot of bullets before getting to college. Looking strong here. Go hard after the Bishop Dunne guy and one other? Cy Creek guy would have to get offered first before he’d be on the list but I assume they take two. Lots of work to do here. Ringo at CB. Jones at NB. Thompson at S. Three studs in the secondary. Looking good. Jackson will be the number one athlete in the country. Obviously it’s a long way off and a lot will change. Still that would be a hell of a 20 player class. No one is expected to be an early NFL guy after next season and they like their roster, so attrition looks like it could be low. Right now they’re not thinking they’ll sign 20. More like 16. I still think they get to 21/22.13 points

A rugby fan from New Zealand who knows essentially nothing about either team or the rivalry (he did know that Texas was "Michael Dickson's university") watches and reacts to the highlights from this season's game. He's pretty observant for a newer fan of American football, and I like his enthusiasm. His whole channel is pretty fun to watch. Check it out:12 points

Wait....SHE has an agenda. But every statement and carefully crafted narrative of the Covington kids must be treated as gospel truth, because, well, they’re clearly objective and have no agenda? Look, if the point is “it’s not entirely as bad as it looked at first glance,” I’ll agree with that. But is that particularly exonerating? It’s a matter of degree, not one of making a wrong right. I’ll back off some of what I suggested at first - it was hasty and not fully-informed. But we’re far from letting the school and these students off the hook - there’s still plenty in that video that’s really bad shit. And you know, here’s the part I love: this incident is a perfect example of the shameless and disingenuous double standard of truth. These people are wearing gear of worship of a man rightly called “a Vesuvius of mendacity.” They worship at an altar of the prince of lies - he lies more easily than you and I breathe. But not only do they not hold him accountable, they joyfully revel in it. But should anyone not full-MAGA dare slip up on any point of fact, and suddenly, the truth matters. It matters more than anything. Bullshit. They live in a world where strict adherence to the truth “is for thee, not for me.” I call bullshit. These folks have not been concerned with the truth for years - they just discover it when it’s THEIR ass in the crosshairs? Fuck that. And fuck them. I post this from near the walled city of San Antonio, where the wall made it safe “immediately.”9 points

So let me get this straight. You send a text to someone assuming it was FWK when a simple google search of the number shows it belongs to the recruits father. You call the man a cunt. Then, because you are so proud of yourself you come here to brag about your hate text? The one you sent to the wrong person? Did I get that right?9 points

FWB is about to fall victim to one of the classic blunders: Never piss off Surly during the offseason. This will end about as well as Paul Beatrice, Fitlump, 6figs, and various other lives left smoldering in our wake. The fact that 6Figs is desperately attached to him like a sickly remora with a hole in his suck mouth will make this that much sweeter.9 points

Wow, you really told him. You’re a fucking moron if you actually sent that guy a text. Seriously. What does that accomplish, much less identifying yourself as a Texas fan? Gonna tweet shit talk to receuits next? For fuck’s sake how fucking old are you? Dipshit. If you absolitely must text the guy, the appropriate move is just dick pics. Nice and anonymous.9 points

That is the phone number of the prospective PWO's father. Do not text it. Even if it was FWK's phone number, if you're stupid enough to text him, you're too stupid to get any satisfying payoff anyway. That text is also not recent and is one of the primary reasons Texas does not deal with FWK directly anymore. FWK made promises for a PWO spot that didn't exist. The guy lied through his teeth to attempt to extort the kid's family. It's why FWK wasn't with Demas for the visit this weekend, and it's why he won't be on campus with Shepherd in the event the kid truly shocks the world and makes it in for an OV.8 points

Piling on....UT President should focus on academics and if he wants to dabble in sports, query your fan base and not some 70 year old mega millions old cigars. Here’s a history lesson for you, Fenves dawn of time til 2010: UT dominates aggy almost annually, but come every Jan 1 aggy is ready to hype up that they are better than t-sips for the next 11 months. Aggy 2010: “If you t-sips and OU leave us for the SEC, we’ll sue the shit out of you and get our aggy reps in the State House to block the move! What you’re doing is immoral!” Aggy 2011: “well since y’all didnt accept the invites, we and Mizzou are going SEC. Laters! 100 year decision! But y’all better still play us every thanksgiving so we can maintain our Aggy sense of purpose: an infinite inferiority complex masked as bragging from January to November of every year!” Texas Bowl 2017: “um based on records, Aggy should probably play Texas here.” Aggy: “furk....SEC commissioner please protect us and stick us in some other crappo bowl!” Aggy now: “y’all t-sips are scared of us and all SEC!” And so it goes forever. Beating them again won’t shut them up. Losing to them will only make them louder. But right now, they have to live with the shame and final memory of Case McCoy drunkenly stumbling 40 yards in their house so Justin Tucker could officially boot their asses from the conference. Don’t let them wash that taste out of their mouth.8 points

Stop being dumb. I know it's hard for you when you decide you're going to be the cool contrarian, but sometimes the popular view is popular because the contrarian view is stupid. This is one of those times. You're right that there was a lot of football played after that call, but the important thing is that there would not have been a lot of football played after that call if it had been made properly. I think you're smart enough to realize that, but keep playing your role I guess.7 points

Nathan Phillips was surrounded by the teens and he was definitely scared and wanting to walk away. The kid jeering and mocking him directly in his face is scary to him. He walked up to the group and they surrounded him. This is literally the truth. You keep calling this old man a liar... please be specific and quote him. Don't externalize your pathology. I've watched the whole video and it didn't take some great act of will on my part. I'm not scared of these things. The MAGA teens and the Black Israelites are arguing back and forth. The old man walks slowly towards/near/into the group of MAGA teens, chanting medicine to try and calm them down. They surround him, and the psychopath gets directly in his face (most of the teens parted as the old man approached, which is why you see them around the sides) and smiles like a lunatic in his face. Old man gets scared, but keeps up his chanting. That's what the full video shows. And that's what Nathan Phillips said happened. Pretty pathetic of you to continually attack this old Native American veteran for speaking the truth. He said, "I heard them say 'build that wall'." Did he say that they were chanting loudly in unison? Or are you putting words in his mouth again to apologize for white supremacy? Nothing has changed the reality of this image. You can acknowledge it for what it is or you can lie to yourself in an attempt to BOTH SIDES this thing. What does is face say? What does his posture and positioning say? What are the messages these two humans are sending each other? Has anyone said anything positive about the Black Israelites? Where? Who? No one cares about them. They're a fringe group of zero power and have already been marginalized and disempowered. They are not representative of dangerous cultural forces. They are not representative of a massive power movement. They are not historically connected to recent genocides. They're assholes, we all agree, but they're irrelevant. What IS relevant is the white supremacist surge among young white men because of the MAGA movement. That's an actual problem that's worth talking about, not some fringe radical freaks whose overall nationwide numbers are in the dozens or low hundreds. And there is nothing wrong with what the old man did. He was literally chanting for peace a group of wild kids. But he's not white and wasn't speaking English, so you guys want to paint him as hostile. It's pathetic and you should be fucking ashamed of yourselves. A single smirk? He stares dead in the face of this man for minutes with that look. It wasn't some passing glance as he moved on. He stared the man down. What does that smirk say, worn by a white person with a MAGA hat in the face of an old Native American? I asked Dixon, but I doubt he'll answer, but what's the message? I don't think either of you will be honest.7 points

Ahem... So, is FWK the same Maurice "Rischad" Whitfield that allegedly struck a female family member over the head with "an unknown object" back on January 7, 2018? The same Maurice "Rischad" Whitfield who was apparently given deferred adjudication after completing a domestic violence course in September 2018? Just checking. Because if it's not him, then it's not him and I'll gladly take this down or edit the post to say so. But if it is him... well, great role model. This is all very freely available on the Harris County District Court's website, BTW.7 points

I think everyone understands that. But the no-call still happened. It still prevented the Saints from running down the clock and then kicking a 22-yard FG to win the game.6 points

Store owner announces several times that if anyone talks about selling, flipping, trading etc, you get booted out the door and no whiskey for you. They start the drawing and first guy gets up to the front with his friend and hands him the ticket. Store owner gets mad, reiterates announcement, friend retreats to back of store. Clueless guy stares at bottles for a minute with no idea what he's looking at. Picks up a few bottles and finally decides on fancy looking 375ml bottle of blantons. Everyone in the crowd gasps in relief and a few of us giggle at the choice. What a maroon! Next number called and yet another old clueless guy gets up there, sees one of the 2 blantons is gone, and takes the other. Another gasp from those happy folks in the audience as many are giddy with excitement for another chance at an ORVW. Nobody is complaining about that! Next number called, 9....6... those are my numbers.... ........2 ITS MIIIIIIIIIIINEEEEEE ALLLLL MIIIIIIIINNNNNEEEEE MWAHAHAHA!!! my first bottle of any van winkle after going to these things for 3 years! What an awesome feeling to have your number called third after two doofuses pick the wrong bottles! That makes my haul for this year of lotteries a 1.75 W12, an ETL, an OFBB and a lot B!6 points

Brady is the best in the history of the game but walks around the locker room like he's a water boy. Stories and stories are documented him in Julys past of him going around to free agents introducing himself as "Hi, I'm Tom. Welcome to the Patriots". Dude's nice, cool, married to a hot a piece of ass and has shown over and over to be a good guy. Hate it as you wish but you're a douche if so.6 points

Shepherd is gone. That was pretty clear when he OV’d to aggy, cancelled the in-home with Saban, and cancelled his OV to Georgia. He just wants to announce on NSD2 because he’s a ten-cent head that needs attention.5 points

A buddy of my brother's was in attendance of yesterdays event. This is what I gathered went down yesterday, Herman was the first to speak to the group. To my knowledge he did not speak much on A&m, if at all. Sam and Caden Sterns then went up and addressed the group. Let's just say Sam was a little more honest. Sam said things like "who in their right mind would live in CS or Norman, OK than Austin, Texas." He also said the SEC hype is just that.. hype relayed by the media. They proved that on the field. Of course this was not his only subject he touched on. He talked about their progress as a team and how high they are climbing. Basically get on now or get left behind. He finished his speech with "If we played the aggies tomorrow, there's no doubt in my mind we would beat them down." Even after that Herman didn't say much about atm or sec. More like "oh great hope there's no camera phones around" So nothing that can't be refuted with facts. Imo, if Demas took all of that that badly, then he's fully bought in to Jimbo, and is pretty much a lost cause.5 points
