RHM didn't transfer because he hated Mehringer. He transferred because he was fucking up, not going to class, slacking off in his football work, and thought his production on the field gave him some special status that protected him from consequences. Mehringer got on his ass - as did some other coaches - about it. So did some of his family and his gf at the time (whom I know and got a lot of the story from). That all tried to get him to quit the shit and get to work but he was more interested in fucking around. Eventually he was basically told to either shape up or ship out. He tried to go to Oregon but his grades weren't good enough which is why he went to Trinity Valley CC. People want to blame it on Mehringer and personally conflict, but it was going to happen no matter who the coach was.16 points

Spoke to someone who knows Saban and is as close to this stuff nationally as anyone. He thinks there's merit to Saban negging ATM to Shepherd, hard. I know we laugh at those fuckers for their paranoia, but this is far from an aggie passing on validity. I have a couple of good friends inside the Evil Empire itself, but I got nothing from them on anything right now, understandably. There have been recent missives thrown out there that this season is going to be the big push for Saban to win another one and then walk. He's had staff turnover again and has replaced killer recruiters with what he thinks are the best coaches on the market. Along those lines, and I've mentioned it in one of these threads - the Golding guy on his staff is who he thinks is going to be the next big thing in CFB. OU made a run at him and I'm glad he passed to stay on under Saban's wing. He's a stud recruiter and "has savant like qualities" when it comes to finding weaknesses in offenses. I think he's just been, or will be, elevated to DC, but I haven't looked it up so someone can fact check it.9 points

Donald Trump is an enemy of the state. That seems like grounds for impeachment and removal from office. He's aiding and abetting our enemies. Willingly or not, he's an asset of hostile foreign intelligence services. Regardless of collusion with the Russians to corrupt the electoral process he's an existential threat to national security. That should be enough.8 points

God, I fucking hate this president, like really loathe, detest, abhor, and despise the motherfucker. I can't think of any other word and, unfortunately, the English language seems to be sorely lacking just the right word for how I feel about this bloated piece of shit.8 points

We’ve been honest about him. He was overweight (though he looks great right now) but recruits that are overweight in high school typically are indicative of future weigh problems which can spin out of control if not properly controlled. While we have a great nutrition and strength staff, they can’t do too much if he at Taylor Bibles himself out of the program. He also punched his coach and got kicked off the team in addition to many other red flags which are a sign for concern. These are facts not opinion. Add to that the rumor that he is possibly a qualification risk and other diva traits like arguing with his “trainer” on twitter and you can paint a picture of a recruit that could easily be a waste of a scholarship, On the flip side, he has all the physical traits you would look for in a tackle prospect and obviously has committed himself to becoming a better player (private training session, losing weight). On the character stuff, while you can’t erase the red flags completely he seems to have reconciled with the HS coach and a lot of the drama around him comes from his trainer or the $9.95ers, as he personally been fairly quiet outside of some subtweeting. The possibility of a flip, coupled with him not signing early and taking last minute OVs while “committed” has cast him in a bad light around here however most of us agree that we want him in this class. Still if he flips it’s nit the end of the world because he has a high potential to be a bust. I think it’s funny that we can have open and honest talks about the pros and cons of a recruit and aggy immediately says we’re trashing them, because objective debate which recognizes that recruits have shortcomings is such a foreign concept to those who worship the Liucci 44.7 points

5:30 Looch and Brauninger bring up how Mizzou got popped with bowl sanctions, but "schools like Alabama and Texas" get away with improprieties. 10:30 Looch brings up a "hypothetical" IF Texas were paying players... while saying some of the people that report for UT are scumbags who should stop covering recruiting. 22:00 Looch and Brauninger both confirm that Javonne is leaning back towards UT. 24:45 Looch tells us why he talks about Texas so much, in the righteously indignant way he does. Then talks about the impending downfall of Tom Herman because, "Texas will get something coming to them for tampering with Bru McCoy". 53:15 They gush about Calzone throwing the Horns down next to VY. https://dts.podtrac.com/redirect.mp3/texags.blob.core.windows.net/audio/0111489-kyat.mp36 points

Fair warning, this is a bit long. But it exemplifies all things Aggie. So the Macanudo-ettes had a lacrosse tournament in College Station this weekend. Didn't want to go but, hey, I'm a good dad so we made our plans. Teams were assigned by the tournament director to area hotels and we drew the short straw: The Texas A&M Conference Center & Hotel. It's everything you think it is and more. The bar is named The Block T after the dumbass Corps Band's "special maneuver" that leaves the Aggie faithful breathless. The snack bar is called Junction Market. Right on Campus, directly across from Kyle Field. Major awesome rates of $299 a night for non-conference games and $399 a night for conference ones. But I digress. As we pulled out town on Friday, we got a reminder via text that check-in begins at 4:00 but if we weren't going to be there by 7:00 we needed to let them know so they could keep out reservation. WTF? Ever been to a hotel that has a 3 hour window for check-in before you have to worry about losing your room? Not me. We made it to the hotel about 6:45 and the clusterfuck was on. There were two option for parking; Valet at $24 a day or self park for the hourly rate. Based on where the closest self-park garage was and a significant chance of rain on Saturday, valet seemed the way to go. We pull up to the hotel and it's on what amounts to a dead end. One way in and one way out. And probably 20 people waiting to valet. We had team function to get to so I unloaded everything we needed for the night and told the valet dude that I'd be right back. They only had two guys parking cars so there was no way they'd get to me before we checked in and got back down from the rooms. Check in was surprisingly smooth except for the $200 a night "incidentals" hold they wanted. Sure, no problem. I wasn't planning on stealing any towels or sheep. Got to the rooms and was greeted with this in the entry: Floor to ceiling memorializing all that is Aggie. And it was in every room right inside the door. We put our stuff down and then I looked over above the bed and saw this: It's a 12' by 5' photo a Ring Dance from the late 40s or early 50s. Every room on the 7th floor had pictures like it. Some were on in pairs at 5' by 5'. And every floor had a different theme. I shudder to think that there might be a milk man theme on a floor. I bet Rick Perry asks for that floor. We went to dinner and then came back to sack out. Then I saw this over on the table: A whole book praising Jackie Sherill and the 12th Man experiment that started in 1984. These fuckers still glorify that cheating SOB. Just unbelievable. I decided to take a shower because we had an early game and got to see this: How many Aggies have rubbed one out in these rooms and deposited their deformed sperm on that handle? As I got ready for bed, there was one more thing to catch my eye: It's not just that the train comes every 2-3 hours. Anyone who's been to a game at Olsen knows how these knuckle draggers cream themselves when it goes through. They just fucking love it. And they built a hotel right along Wellbourn without sufficient noise reduction to prevent waking people up at night. And wake me it did. At midnight and 3 am both nights. So flash forward to Saturday morning. Had to have the girls at the fields for an 8:00 am game which really means being there at 7:00 for warmups. We were told that breakfast was complimentary in the dining room. Oh, it was. Just not the buffet or full menu. A small table was set up with some bran muffins, a couple of bananas and apples and some juice. Yeah, that's great fuel for day of running around. The alternative? Either the buffet that cost $22 (after tax) or $8-12 menu items. After mulling our choices we ordered from the menu. By the time our food came, several others teams had arrived en masse and were discovering the same thing. A couple of moms were pissed and letting the staff know. There was a brief, frenzied huddle by the restaurant staff and then an announcement that the buffet was open to lacrosse players and their families. I was staring at an $8 yogurt parfait with fruit. My kids were already chowing down on their eggs and bacon and potatoes. So we finished and went on our way. The tournament proceeded but it was time to get some lunch. As I walked to my car, I realized that there was a shit ton of traffic. We were right across the street from Reed Arena and the Aggie had a 1:00 pm game vs. K-State. Now all the parking required payment. No big deal, it was only $5. But now our lot was closed to entry and I end up about 3 blocks away. Did I mention that it was in the 40s with a 10-12 mph wind? Yeah that was fun. We finish up the day and head back to the hotel to clean up. I valet again because we have about 90 minutes. When we're ready to go, I call down to get the car. I waited a few minutes because I knew there was some kind of function going on in one of the large conference rooms. By the time we get downstairs, the car is parked on the street. I walk over to get in and my key fob isn't there. I go back to the valet stand ask where it is. None of them had any idea. It was just gone. Well this is fucking great. Fortunately, I had the other one in my room. I tell the staff "Find that key, now." I talk to the valet manager and he says they'll look. When we get back from dinner, still no key fob. Valet manager is gone for the night. I go inside and ask for the manager on duty. Some snot nosed kid with a name tag that say "Idiot Aggie '19" comes out and says he's the manager on duty. Are you fucking kidding me? A senior in college is the manager? He proceeds to tell me that this is a valet issue and I need to take it up with them. WTF? It's your hotel dipshit. But after I tell him the valet manager is gone for the night and that this is unacceptable, he says that they will keep looking. That's just great. I decide to head up to the bar. There's a open chair at the bar so I sit down. Nice bar, plenty of seating and they are maybe 50% full. There are 3 bartenders and they are all running around the bar like chickens with their heads cut off. One of them is trying to make what looks like a martini but he started over twice. Another one is pouring beer from a tap and making a huge mess. As one of them swings by my end of the bar, a rather drunk woman asks for another martini. Bartender tells her that they're out of Tito's. She asks for Grey Goose. Also out. Eventually they figured out what they had. Another woman asked for Michelob Ultra. Also out. By this point, I'd been there 5 minutes or so and just gave up. We find out this morning that the key fob still hasn't been located. I tell the staff, I'll be back after the morning games and check out then. After a heated argument about whether I should pay for for the valet parking, they finally took it off my bill and had me fill out some forms to get their insurance company involved to cover the loss. Long story short, Aggies can fuck up anything.5 points

You know, if I start banging Kate and 3-4 supermodels a night I’ll become known worldwide as the dude who pulls more tail than DiCaprio. My house will be a pussy Mecca and my wife will probably be cool with it. I just need to get it started with Kate and then it’ll all snowball. Or not.5 points

This kind of bullshit really, really infuriates me. Or, if you're a Sarah Palin fan, infuridiates me. I love America (and hate Trump). I think Mexico is a friendly nation and, while we may not be "lucky" to have them as southern neighbors, they are a net benefit. Mexicans (and other latinos), in my experience work hard and contribute to our society. Fuck the white dipshits who insult them. Fuck. Them. Do I want unlimited immigration? No. But let's not go full retard here. Why not help them out? Is that not the Christian way to do things? I think so.5 points

Self defense is not about weight classes. This isn't boxing. It's about repelling an immediate physical attack. Both women go after the guy, attacking him. Again, gender does not bestow a juridical privilege upon a certain group of people regarding infliction of physical pain and bodily harm. It also does not dictate its tolerance under forfeiture of basic human right to another group. Had one of the women pulled a knife and stabbed the guy while standing behind him, his size and strength would have been of no consequence for the outcome of this fight. If a person is being outnumbered by the attackers, any self defense actions have to be as swift and efficient as possible. That's exactly what is shown in that video sequence. The guy only punched his aggressors enough to stop the attack before walking away, without any unnecessary retaliation. Ask a traumatologist about the possible severity of cranial and facial injuries caused violent women or adolescents. It includes everything from fractured teeth, noses, cheek and orbital bones to eye and ear lesions, all the way to intracranial hematomata. I remember a case from my circle of acquaintances where a mother, a doctor, blinded her teenage son on one eye by striking him in the face. And why are other men, solely because of their gender, obliged to risk their lives as well as their physical and legal integrity in support of the two aggressors? Inform the authorities in charge and let them sort it out. Equality between men and women necessitates responsible behavior from both sides. Humans are not supposed to physically attack other humans, that's what the law says. Having said that, I commend and fully comprehend your chivalrous attitude. But these two women don't seem to be the kind of ladies that deserve our pity and gallant self-sacrifice.5 points

The funny/sad thing is that the platform of GOP supporters does not line up with GOP policy goals. The actual GOP doesn't believe a fucking word of what they're saying about trickle down, privatization, etc. being good for the country as a whole. They know it isn't. And they could give a fuck about abortion or guns at the end of the day, those are just good wedges. Their goal is to create a feudal system with corporations and their investors replacing houses of nobility, rolling back most economic and social progress made over the past 150 years. The rubes keep drinking the fucking kool aid though. Cause things were better when the coloreds and women knew their place, and Omaba might still be out there to take our guns.5 points

Can any GOP supporters really outline their platform at this point? Cause all I can see as their platform being is: move money from middle-class and poor up to the top percentages, limit civil liberties, limit voting population, choke all public services (education, utilities, infrastructure, etc) to allow for private enterprises to fill the void, get far-right judges into key positions to ensure this cycle continues for years. And if you agree with this strategy, how do you think this will benefit the country long-term?5 points
