I'm a husky fan that does not wear rose colored glasses, and wanted to provide my honest husky perspective. ESPN has Texas at about 70% win probability vs 30% Washington. And it's easy to see why: Texas has much better talent overall Texas recruits at top 10 level every year, sometimes top 5 Washington recruits at a top 25-35 level Texas has way more depth Which is why UW struggled against weak teams. They were sick and injured If someone gets injured, Texas has 4 and 5 star players waiting in the wings, UW doesn't Sark was easily our 2nd best recruiter this century. Neuheisel recruited at a top 15 level. Sark recruited at a top 15-25 level. Chris Petersen recruited at a top 25-35 level. We are just never going to compete for top 5 classes. Unless Deboer wins a few national championships in a row. Texas has a huge advantage on paper due to athletes on the team. The ONLY thing that Husky fans can truly pin their hopes on is this: Under Deboer, the Huskies are 9-0 against top 25 teams. And he's doing this with talent level outside of the top 25. They are 3-0 vs Oregon who has top 5-10 talent. UW really has no business beating that team. So Deboer and staff must be outcoaching a lot of their opponents with great gameplans and schemes. Sark basically won 7-8 games per year with us and slightly better talent overall than what this coaching staff is working with now. But Sark has become a great coach since he left Washington too. So 70-30 still seems about right to me and therefore I feel the line is about right. Vegas thought the talent difference between Oregon and UW was worth 9.5 points. UO and Texas compete for the same athletes each year and are about equal in terms of talent on their rosters. So I guess Vegas is finally giving a little respect to UW now, since they're now only 4 point underdogs haha.21 points

Is there any chance it is a browser issue for you? You had a similar issue with something else and I can see all of it fine with Chrome on a laptop or Safari on an iphone. Anyway, I disabled autorenew which was about to kick in next week. I need to figure out something meaningful as an alternative for my dad, since the $9.95ers boards are his jam. I enjoy telling or texting him and my brothers stuff and then getting a text from him a week later when someone on IT reports on it, as if it is news. Love it. "Sounds like Casey Cain is in the portal. Catalon too. I hope they have a plan." I am pretty sure he posts here as 6th Street.20 points

Look, if you incorrectly believe that a fertilized egg is a human being, or that government has the right to legislate morality based on pressure from churches, then go ahead be that fucking stupid. There's nothing any of us can do to stop you. But this isn't some woman who just doesn't want to be pregnant anymore; this is a mother who's trying to have her third child. And now she doesn't get to, because she got horribly unlucky, and she must be absolutely gutted right now. And you pieces of shit are going to tell her that she has to risk her own life and her future fertility (holy irony, Batman) because you don't want to set a precedent. There's a legal apparatus in place for a medical exception, and any reasonable person can see that this situation qualifies, or why even have such a medical exception? But no, you fucking ghouls want to make a point. There's no abortion in Texas. Period. Baby Jesus don't like it, so we don't like it. And, let's be honest, you also want the next few dozen women who get this horribly unlucky to understand that they need to just go ahead and go to another state to have their abortion, quietly. You don't even care that the abortion happens anyway, not really. You only care that it doesn't happen here. Fuck 100% of the people who support this decision. Your lack of compassion is an absolute disgrace.19 points

The fucking distinctions don't matter. What the medical record states doesn't fucking matter. When has the Attorney General of Texas shown you that he will follow the law, even as vaguely as it's written? Was it when he filed lawsuits in an attempt to fraudulently overturn the 2020 election? Was it sometime during the last eight years he has been under felony indictment? As long as the threat of prosecution exists, especially at the level it exists, that's all that matters. The doctor could write "fetus already dead" and until the mother is so sick that even a layperson on a jury knows she is near death, the hospital/doctors won't feel safe enough to operate. The cruelty is the point. FUCK18 points

They ran away from us only to run face to ass into the greatest dynasty of all time and another perennial power who won a NC within their own division, and a resurgent Georgia who has won 2 NCs since they have joined the SEC (just in case they ever made it out of the west). They took the governors off of their bag scheme, poured Billions into their athletics program, tried to outright buy a championship, had 13 years of saying they were the only SEC school in Texas, and managed to finish no higher than third in their own division if you remove the Covid year. Now they have all of that to deal with, plus two of the top 5 winningest programs in CFB history coming right in the middle of their prized recruiting territory. At this point they are Mississippi State with way more money.13 points

What a colossal piece of shit. Goddamn those pussy-ass Texas senators for not firing him into the sun during the impeachment trial. I look forward to the day the cartel(s) catch up to him. It better happen @YGIFS. You promised.12 points

I definitely think this board undervalues him. He was playing for a god awful Purdue team with Hudson Card trying to throw him the ball. He put up 47-629-7 in that offense. You give him a Sark offense with Ewers throwing him the ball and thatβs a 1,000 yard, 10 TD season. Itβs entirely possible Johntay takes a big step and becomes a star next year, but from what weβve seen right now Burks would be the best WR on the team if he came here.12 points

I've defended the guy and agree with most of what you're saying, but I'm not sure we can make this conclusion, yet. Speaking strictly from the UT perspective, as you heard at the B12 CCG, he fired up the fans so mightily that there's zero chance of any reconciliation between Texas and the rest of the B12, for the foreseeable future. That may not affect ISU, but Texas Tech desperately needs as much exposure and as many butts in seats as possible. That's precisely why their administration has alternated between begging Texas to continue the series, and attempting to guilt/strong-arm Texas into continuing the series. The same is true for Baylor and TCU. But given Yormark's attitude, statements, and positioning, he's completely guaranteed that won't happen at any time in the future that would actually help the Texas schools within the B12. When all he HAD to do, was make some generic comments and let things go.11 points
