  3. My Aussie buddy tried to explain it all to us one time at work, and our VP (from Alabama) just goes “I dunno man, kinda just sounds like queer terrorist baseball to me”

  4. Fantastic news. Also, we should create and staff an additional recruiting department just to help UTSA and UTEP identify second tier prospects that we think may develop into Texas level players but whom we don't have room for on the 85. Let's fully weaponize this program. Ha.

  6. Reminder that 247Sports somehow has Chase Bisontis ranked ahead of Trey Moore in their Transfer Portal rankings 🤮

  13. Holy shit, imagine writing something - and then doubling and tripling down on it - so fucking asinine (and pretty overtly racist) that you (rightly) get almost unanimously called out and shamed on fucking texags for it.

  14. Are you guys talking about letting Dallas Turner just illegally cheap shot a QB and knock him out of the game? I’d like to see one of his opponents square up on his knee and bend it in backwards, thus ending his football career. If it happened on TV, I’d be howling. If I’m in person in Houston, I will be hooting and clapping as loud as I can. I’d hope he could hear my shrill cackling in the quiet of the stadium as they fit his deformed mess of a leg inside an air cast and loaded him onto a cart.

  15. So, had to find a recipe for our Christmas menu in my mom’s old recipe book. It has clippings, a lot of her handwritten recipes, and some old small recipe booklets and such. Here are a couple from probably the late 60s to early 70s (my old man worked in the oil patch in Louisiana in that timeframe): And this one - good old fashioned retail politics (he was a racist POS, but he was a Senator from Louisiana for 40 years, so of course he was):

  18. https://www.apa.org/pubs/journals/releases/bul-bul0000392.pdf From a summary of the paper: The researchers found that overall, people were motivated to believe in conspiracy theories by a need to understand and feel safe in their environment and a need to feel like the community they identify with is superior to others. The researchers also found that people with certain personality traits, such as a sense of antagonism toward others and high levels of paranoia, were more prone to believe conspiracy theories. Those who strongly believed in conspiracy theories were also more likely to be insecure, paranoid, emotionally volatile, impulsive, suspicious, withdrawn, manipulative, egocentric and eccentric.
