  1. There's a lot of gold in there, but here's a personal favorite with some current relevance. In response to the Roach CB to Texas...

How bout you not worry so much about Brock Cunningham living rent free in your piece of shit fanbases heads and tell us how that's ok?

  3. The prairie is designed to burn. It's a key part of the natural cycle there. It's actually (in the big picture) very healthy for the land. Controlled burns are a smart and good thing. Wildfires like this? Well, that's nature being nature and she gives zero fucks. Good for nature. Bad for us. Living anywhere on this earth carries pros and cons re natural benefits vs. natural hazards. Tornadoes and prairie fires are the hazards of the plains. We can do our best to plan for them, mitigate them, etc. But sometimes, they're going to fucking bite some good people in the ass. So, that's when we need to be there for each other. We help folks out when a hurricane hits the coast, we can help folks out when a prairie fire hits the panhandle. It's the good thing to do if you grasp that we live in community with each other.

  6. Oh well there's no way we would elect a president who owes hundreds of millions of dollars to our enemies. I mean just think how incredibly dangerous and stupid---- hahaha sorry, almost got through it.

  7. Court really selling out the country and basic justice with this move. All to protect their boy. Everyone knows the immunity claim is bullshit. COA was unanimous and wrote a flawless opinion destroying the dumbass question. There is no reason at all for SCOTUS to take this case. Accomplishes not a damn thing aside from ensuring mango Mussolini doesn't get tried before election day. The combo of their: 1. refusal to take this case when Smith tried to get them to do so months ago, 2. taking 2.5 weeks to say whether they're taking it, 3. setting it for 7 weeks from now when the issue is dead ass simple and the facts are universally known makes it so fucking obvious. They've fully disgraced themselves and the court and ruined any remaining credibility they had.

  8. Most of the people in the US don’t even know what the Panhandle is. Shit, people in Texas don’t even know what the Panhandle is. Most people don’t know the Panhandle has the nation’s second largest canyon in Palo Duro canyon. Humble brag picture of my family’s ranch below—view from the front porch. And I understand controlled burns but it’s windy there. Windy all the fucking time. Like we are used to 20-35 mph winds and many times double that. The wind is a huge factor. We have mostly mesquite trees and prairie grass and fucking tumbleweeds. One of my good friends is helping to organize places for people to bring their livestock and other animals. The thing is this could shift any time with the fucking winds. And be like a raging inferno. If I have something to post on how people can assist I will do that (vetting what I post already.) the Palo Duro Canyon is beautiful and a treasure. I shudder to think if the fire goes in the canyon. It’s scary. It’s mainly short grass and brush/bushes. It’s not a ton of overgrown shit.

  9. That's my take. If he had shown the stones to convict Trump during the second impeachment, they could have barred him from running for office. Trump destroys everyone who tries to help him eventually.

  15. Every school in the Big 12 hates Texas, but none as much as Texas Tech. They desperately want to be our rival, but know that at best they are 3rd or even 4th in our pecking order of rivals. They promote a rebellious culture... a "F you, Us vs. the world, Everyone is against us" type of mindset. Kids that go to TCU or Baylor come from rich families, which makes it tough to play the victim card. Aggy thinks they are equal to Texas and are mad that they don't get the same props. But Tech stokes the inferiority complex with Texas being the big bad villain. And when we "stole" Chris Beard, it just fed into that complex. This game was huge for Tech because basketball is a source of pride for them. They know they have better hoops fans than us, and honestly better on-court performance over the last 15 years. This was their chance for scoreboard in basketball, and really in life. The stakes went beyond the game last night. I say all of this as a product of the panhandle with two Tech parents and Tech parents in-law. My daughter will likely go there and my nephew is a football student assistant. This was their David vs. Goliath moment. Their chance to once and for all hit the bully in the mouth. And all that passion came to a head when Brock made his play. I really thought it had Malice at the Palace potential. It was delicious.

I saw one of the state Senators who led the charge to vote uncommitted mention after the polls closed yesterday that the goal is to elect Biden in November and use yesterday to voice displeasure at the Israel/Hamas situation and ultimately change policy with their vote.
