Or the better option, act like a fucking grownup and don't get in barfights.47 points

Some things to think about for this cycle: -The ranking of this class will only be limited by how many high school players Sarkisian wishes to take. If they take 27+, I think they'll be ranked in the top 3. Less than that, top 5. -They're getting outreach from players and their camps at multiple positions. NIL rep helps, but so does putting guys into the league and running a style of play that guys find attractive. In a stacked in-state class at WR, they're getting national interest and could take basically whoever they want. OL looks similar. -Notice how they're working OVs for more players than they have scholarships available at numerous positions. You're seeing it at OL, Edge, DT, TE and DB. I would not be surprised to see some more Nate Kibbling happening this cycle at some of these spots. You want in? We need your commitment now or we can't take it. We have a bunch of guys coming in next week for the same position if we don't have your commitment. Obviously that isn't going to happen to the truest 5 stars, but it could happen at a very, very high level of talent in various spots. -Notice how they're not working on back-ups at a few spots. That indicates, to me, that they know who they're getting and the NIL element is already sorted. There isn't a backup plan for RB1, MLB1, OLB1. -Some of what Texas does at the HS level is going to be informed by this next transfer cycle. They're expecting to lose some guys at the 3rd string level even they don't want to do so. They have to no matter what. If they lose 4 OL instead of 1-2, that means 5-6 OL instead of 4-5. Similarly at LB or DT. Positions that they'd generally do better developing than grabbing from the portal will play a bigger role in the class. -The QB thing is kind of weird and might get weirder. -If there is more than another 1-2 commits ahead of June, I'd be kind of stunned.26 points

Oh, and as we discuss bridges, and phobias about them, particularly @Ghost of LL's fear, I will re-share one of my best memories ever. We were traveling through SETX, I was driving. Being quite wet/marshy country, there are plenty of bridges we had to go over. GOLL shared his loathing of bridges. Well, our route one day took us over this bad boy: I warned him, but did so with a cackle of glee. Should be an ordinary crossing, right? Nope. They were doing construction, so it was shut down to one lane. And what happened RIGHT as we got to the top - I mean literally, maybe 2 car lengths from the fulcrum where it started descending the other way? The shitty old pickup truck in front of us died. Comes to a dead stop. As do we. A dead stop at the very top of the Rainbow Bridge. You can feel it swaying underneath us. GOLL was about to claw his way out of the car and run back down when the construction crew sees what's up, comes over, and pushes the broken down truck over the crest, so it can coast down the other side. We let it do so, then we go and finally get off the bridge. GOLL made me drive back by a different route, IIRC. Was I laughing much more than a decent person should? Yes. Yes I was. I am a terrible human.22 points

As someone who has been on the bridge of a large vessel during docking maneuvers, I thought I would share a little about how it works. 1. The guy steering the boat isn't the captain. Some low level dude. 2. He's not holding a large wheel like Jack Sparrow. It's probably a knob on a panel. 3. Captain and pilot are standing nearby drinking coffee. 4. If they lost steerage, or power, this unfolded slowly and there was little they could do.22 points

Sucker punch? Sure. But why do people act like there are rules when it comes to fights? This isn't boxing or some controlled setting. Your head needs to be on a swivel at all times20 points

All he's trying to say is that comparing him to Hitler is wrong and inflammatory at this point. You have to wait until he starts arresting political opponents for specious reasons, withdraws from NATO, suspends habeas corpus, rips up the Constitution and starts loading up the first trains before you can make that comparison. At that point he will happily agree with you and approve of your rhetoric as he waves at you from the platform and yells, "Well now isn't THIS awkward!"16 points

I never said he did. I was explaining why people want him dead. Because he tried to install himself as an unelected dictator. Historically, when you do things like that and fail, you get a pretty severe comeuppance. Also, the way I'm framing it? He spent months trying to steal an election and install himself as leader. You look like a fucking fool trying to equivocate on the means.16 points

I know I've told you this story, but don't remember if I've told it here. When I was a little kid, I was riding with my uncle and cousin when he ran out of gas going up the Rainbow Bridge on the Port Arthur side. He had just bought a brand new Datsun B210 wagon, and I think he was of the belief that the thing would run on the rumor of gasoline. As we passed the last gas station on Gulfway drive heading for Bridge City, his wife asks "Aren't you going to stop for gas?" No, Uncle Jim did not stop for gas, because the gas gauge being on the wrong side of E just meant he should think about getting gas sometime in the near future. We made it almost to the top...we were inside the superstructure at the top...when it died and wouldn't start. Ole Uncle Jim just threw it in neutral, threw his arm over the passenger seat, switched lanes, and backed that sumbitch all the way down. With his wife giving him the business the whole way down.15 points

if you're a 6'5 250+ Lb dude and there is a 5'9 guy who is not only willing to engage in a fight but enthusiastic about it - you might want to re-think things.14 points

I'm obviously biased, but that dude is a fucking pussy who lined up the cheap shot for a good couple of seconds to make sure it was safe to throw it. He should face charges for that. VY was holding people back. I hope that dude's father sees this clip and knows what a fucking coward he raised.14 points

trump has said he will suspend the Constitution, round up, encamp, and deport minorities, and that he wants Americans to obey him like the Norks do Un. The motherfucker has TOLD us he wants to be a dictator. He hasn't racked up their body count but if he gets power again, it'll only be a matter of time. It's scary Americans don't see the danger this cunt poses to our Republic. So as far as trump goes, Dope sang it best: Just go Die motherfucker die motherfucker die Die motherfucker die motherfucker die Die motherfucker die motherfucker die Die motherfucker die motherfucker die11 points

The simple way to sort this, if they really like Russell (and there is growing evidence that they do), is to just tell Lacey next weekend or whenever he's in Austin next is that they're taking 2 QBs in this cycle. He goes back to Bama and decommits, then Texas takes Russell. Moore decommits this summer and commits to Texas shortly thereafter. Bing bang boom.10 points
