  1. It's a confluence of a few events and one reality. Bo Davis knocked Sarkisian's dick in the dirt by getting Zion Williams to cancel the Texas OV. Then some other targets that Texas had confidence in made it clear they were heading elsewhere. Then the mom is bragging about Bo Davis on Brown's OV to Texas. So something has to give somewhere, and anyone who thinks Sarkisian lacks ego and doesn't take it personally with the Bo Davis stuff is kidding themselves. Beyond that, the reality is that a good NIL offer from Texas is overmatching what poor clown SEC institutions can muster. For Charles, there's also a depth in the class issue at FSU. Texas held its water when OU and Auburn went nuts at DT last cycle. That was manageable until Robinson begged off after Davis split for Baton Rouge. I was talking to a buddy involved at Bama and then later a buddy involved nationally. Bama is facing some serious Sophie's Choice cases heading into the 24-25 roster/recruiting cycle. LSU is a fucking joke. I look forward to watching them squawk more and bitch about CFB these days. But hey, sure, you got Zion Williams by getting his girlfriend financial benefits to attend and shit. Hope they stay together forever and such.

  2. I saw aggy today walking downtown and I couldn't even muster up the gumption to ask him for directions to downtown.

  4. To be clear, if Charles, Sharma, or Brown go anywhere else, they're doing so in spite of considerably better NIL options at Texas. They'd have to really, really, love another option.

  5. There's a rumor out there that a big aggie-backed select organization out of Katy has informed all levels of players and their parents that are no longer allowed to visit UT or consider them in their recruiting process. I laughed out loud. If you are a parent and you take that threat seriously, or continue to play for that org, you are a fucking imbecile.

  7. Part of what holds A&M back is that they expect their coaches to “be” Aggies. Not just coach them, but to buy into all of their shit. The intro press conferences are so cringe when A&M leaders talk about “the school 90 minutes down the road,” and then Jimbo or Elko or Schloss has to do the Gig ‘em and join them in sawing Varsity’s horns off. You know they’re thinking, “what have I gotten myself into?” They all look so uncomfortable. They wanted to coach the team and make bank, not join a cult. But that’s what happens, and it always ends in the same way. Schloss was so miserable there and did not want to be indoctrinated.

  10. My beautiful darlings. I got to hang yesterday afternoon with my boy, Quinn Ewers. This is now the third summer I have been blessed to spend a little time with him. He is such a nice young man. He's quiet, really personable and will represent any franchise well at the next level. He looks a little taller to me, but maybe I am shrinking. Dude has a cannon for an arm. He made some amazing throws. This year, I brought two footballs for him to sign to go along with my Longhorn QB collection. Collect 'em all! I'm keeping one, but stay tuned for Surly news about the other one. It could involve you! Cheers!

  11. I figured this was the best place to put this since he touched on many aspects of Texas: music, politics, satire, writing. I remember stumbling onto Kinky being interviewed by Glenn Mitchell of KERA (RIP) at the State Fair the year Kinky was running for Governor. RIP

  14. Great article. The Wall Street Journal's definition of Aggy "That would’ve been devastating enough for a famously unstable fan base that already believes the school’s entire athletics operation is under the influence of an unbreakable curse."

  17. Is Bevo there Lobo? I am really interested to see if Bevo and Schloss have a natural bond and if Schloss willingly reaches out. Bevo is a huge part of our University and football program so if he has an instant affinity for Schloss I think that will speak volumes to our recruits. If you could, please take and post video of their initial encounter. Any still shots of Schloss petting bevo would also be appreciated - would prefer if taken from side so I can see as much as possible of both their faces.

  18. I don't. Ungrateful motherfuckers. If somebody told me before our season that we were going to have a 50 win season, our rival would lose in the Regionals to us on an embarrassing fielding error, and we would make it all the way to the National Championship series and we would just barely lose to the #1 national seed...oh but David Pierce is going to leave for A&M or OU or whatever. I would happily take that. WTF is wrong with A&M fans? They have their best season ever, a great season by anybody's standard, and they act this insane? How can a fanbase whose team has won so little be this spoiled and take it for granted this much? So no. Fuck them. They should be on their knees in gratitude they got 3 seasons of Schlossnagle and thinking about how they can build on that success. But nope. Send death threats instead. Act like they are the victim. Gross.

  19. I've started thinking that we'll know they might actually win something when some guy is recruited in and refuses to do any of that shit. "I'm not an aggie. I'm not here to learn 'yells'. I came here to win football games and titles for you guys, and you're paying me well to do it. Now let me coach, and stop pressuring me to 'become' an aggie." If I heard someone say that to them as an HC, I might get worried.

  20. this probably already got posted, but it’s been hectic around here lately and if it was then i missed it. the more i articles o read and the more videos i watch about Schloss’s tenure at a&m and his relationship with their fans, the more it becomes crystal clear that he has been just as confused, bewildered, and annoyed by them as everyone else who lives anywhere outside of that backwards cult town.

  21. Whoever prepped Joe Biden for this debate is guilty of consulting malpractice and is the dumbest motherfucker alive. They should have said he had measles or Covid or Cholera if this was where he was at tonight. And if this is where he’s at all the time, they need to let Harris, whitmer, Newsome and Pete fight it out at the convention.

  25. I must say, you make some odd choices on what you do with your free time. Much like listening to a contractor who won't stop volunteering to you that he's a child of christ, and follows God's law, any time some fuckward goes out of his way to inform you just how classy and respectful they are, you can rest easy knowing they're all completely full of shit and likely amoral sociopaths.

  29. This story in the Sopranos leads to one of my favorite lines. This very tough orthodox Jew takes beating after beating refusing to yield up his share in his in-law's business. Tony eventually comes and asks how and why the guy holds out. "Almost 2,000 years ago, my people held out in the Massada against a Roman legion. They held out to the death. We're still here. Where are the Romans now?" Tony leans in, "You're looking at 'em, asshole." And boom begins another beating.
