This morning I saw a very positive data point in favor of Baker. On a third down play deep in Texas territory, Michigan brings in Orji for QB power run. Texas plays it straight up, Michigan’s G-C-G block down on Broughton and Collins. Both completely whip the three interior lineman and both make the tackle on Orji behind the line. Camera goes to a close up on Sark who yells “Fuck yes!”. It would not have been played better if Murphy and Sweat were on the field. Baker has Broughton playing like a legit, all conference caliber player right now. And it wasn’t obvious that Broughton was going to be that good this year. Big time data point on player development for Baker.47 points

Have you give Texas their flowers. They whooped Michigan’s ass in a way I haven’t seen in a long time. They look like a legit title contender. I would normally say see you again in the playoffs but unless michigans offense starts playing against 2nd stringers like they did in the final drive not sure they make the playoffs. Although Oregon doesn’t look as good as everyone predicted them to be. Still. Don’t want any part of Texas in the playoffs. Would love to see Michigan somehow right the ship. Beat Ohio state and then Texas eliminates Ohio state in the playoffs and day gets sent packing. Good luck to your squad. This one was ugly.44 points

If I were Baxter, I'd take it as a slap in the face that Sark didn't put me out there during the last drive in a brace to stand there like JBrooks at the end of the BigXII championship game. I'd like to hear Sark's reasoning there.38 points

I rewatched the game, sober this time and this had to have been Hayden Connor and Jake Major’s best games as Longhorns. The two best interior linemen in college football got their butts kicked yesterday by our interior line. It was glorious to watch.34 points

it is my fervent wish that Gata beats the Aggys this Saturday. Not only do we need SEC wins to get bowl eligible, but Aggy will be seen as losing to a current dumpster fire of a program with a freshman quarterback. Let the perfect storm happen.33 points

Texas #5: Michigan is clearly not the same team that won it all last year. Their offense can not dictate anything at the line of scrimmage and their defense is a shell of itself. A fortunate Texas team that got several lucky bounces came away with a closer-than-it-looked victory in front of a docile, early morning crowd. They should consider themselves lucky it wasn't a night game later in the year. I'm just not sold that this team can compete later in the year against tough competition on the road, hint-hint-hint. A&M #4: What more needs to be said? Elko may already be the top coach after two games in the history of the sport. He had his team focused and playing at a high level yet again. Despite losing a heartbreaker to a top 10 (at the time so that counts all year!) Notre Dame squad, the Aggies rolled a formidable FCS opponent. (And how about Notre Dame? They clearly spent their entire off-season preparing for the Aggies, leaving it all in the field, only to lose a nailbiter to a very tough Northern Illinois squad.) Weigman completely redeemed himself with a masterful, no interception performance against a stout defense. Name another starter on any team that could pull that off! Keep an eye on those Heisman lists. Elko has them perfectly positioned for that CFP appearance. He looked great on the sidelines too. Maybe lost a couple of pounds this week.31 points

I don’t like our players disrespecting opponents’ houses in that manner. It’s bush league behavior, IMO. The team’s performance on the field accomplished any statement of dominance very clearly.27 points

Sam will forever be in my top five of all-time favorite Texas QBs, just for that line alone.26 points

I heard Mbatchou has never actually laid eyes on a football before. He’s more like a theoretical construct, really.23 points

I shouted violently at everyone in our area when that shit started, as did a few others. Died down quickly but it was fucking pathetic.23 points

Getting ready to board my flight back to Austin. For a true fan of college football, it does not get much better then going to an opponents field and just taking over. Singing the eyes at the end of the game with 20k (my official count) longhorns was amazing.21 points

There’s so much to love about their rationalizations. I think it’s one of the key elements to their collective make-up that makes them perennial losers. Sure, some guys can look at circumstances and work through how improve upon them honestly, but for the most part, they’ll always ignore what’s wrong, because it pulls on their insecurities, and then work on superficial and non-essential problems. One of my favorite things that they allude to lately is the lumping in of Georgia as some sort of issue for them in holding them back from their elusive rise to glory. They’ve played Georgia once since joining the SEC. Once! How the fuck has Georgia hampered anything for them?21 points

There’s too much to comment on, but one thing from those posts jumped out to me - the comment about how we wanted to fire Sark halfway through the 2022 season. Halfway through 2022 we had taken Bama to the wire, beaten a good KSU squad on the road, and, oh yeah, had Arch fucking Manning committed. Things weren’t perfect, but the trajectory was phenomenal. Literally no one at Texas wanted Sark fired. But you know how thought we did? Fucking Aggies. They spammed their dank little corners of the internet with speculation about how our boosters demanded that Arch start and that we were too impatient to let anyone develop. They told themselves we were soft and mercurial and that Sark’s seat was on fire. As always, they read rank speculation from a dubious source, warped it even farther to fit their narrative, then repeated it until it became a “fact” on TexAgs. That comment about wanting to fire Sark perfectly encapsulates the Aggie media spin cycle. They shit something out, eat it, shit it out and eat it again, and like the taste more and more with each serving. They wonder why they never meet expectations…if you like to eat shit and are willing to pay for it, people like Lucci will happily serve it to you. It would be infuriating if it weren’t so laughable and pathetic.19 points

Horrible idea. This high level commit will take attention away from Arch which will surely piss off his family. And you know how apoplectic they already are about Arch not getting to kneel out the game in Ann Arbor. huge risk. Huuuuuuuuuuge.18 points

What a wonderful week of football. All eyes on Texas and we dominated. Quinn Ewers looks like a Heisman guy. This team is pretty clearly the best at Texas since 2005. Notre dame lost to a directional school. A week after beating aggy at home. So- it’s a 2-fer in schadenfreude. OU almost lost to UH, the same UH team that lost by 20 to UNLV week one. Arky lost. And got their heart ripped out doing so. The rest of our schedule (outside Georgia) is ass and my suspicion is Texas and Georgia will play 3 times to determine the 1 seed, SEC champ and College football champ. This season has been about as good as it gets so far. UTSA on the docket. We thought they might have an outside chance at the playoffs. Now, that’s might be Texas State instead after last week. PHD candidate at QB for UTSA is gone, and what was a frisky team won’t likely even be a speed bump. Arch plays a lot. We score 50 something. We allow 0-10 or something. Avoid injuries and get ready for the epic battle the next week against ULM. The SEC really needs to go to 9 games. Bunch of big talking cowards. Oh well. UTSA game week thoughts here. Hook Em high like an Eagle soars.16 points

I'm struck by the fact that Sark's scheme shouldn't have been much of a surprise to Michigan or to fans who pay attention, yet Michigan had no answer. We have the Jimmies and Joes AND the X's and O's Additionally, Quinn casually burning a couple of throws on early downs because it wasn't there was a sign of Texas' supreme confidence in the game plan. On the road in front of 111k and we're like, fuck it we'll pick this up on 2nd or 3rd. He didn't press at all.16 points

Yeah, no doubt. I think it was his Instagram (TikTok?) showing him in the Co-op, panning all the burnt orange gear and then doing a little head shake. Someone here told a story about running into him and his Dad and his Dad was just so proud of him. And the commercial where he beats Texas on NCAA. He and Klatt are probably my two favorite guys to listen to right now.16 points

Some more perspective. Colorado state with zero points against us scored 38 last night. The secondary really is something else this year15 points

Yeah, Leinart had won two championships and a gazillion games in a row. He couldn't believe they'd lost, because he hadn't thought it was possible, and he'd been right for a long time. This slapnuts yesterday saw his team get blown off the field, in part because of his two turnovers and QBR under 50. And he's like y'all didn't win, we beat ourselves. No, dude. Texas kicked the shit of you, and there wasn't anything you could've done to stop it, or you would've. You lost by 19, and it woulda been worse without a garbage time score and a touchdown stolen from us. Quit talking and try to go win more than 8 games so you don't get benched.15 points

We have 3 common opponents this year: Fla, Ark and Miss St. We also play each other. How in the fuck is our schedule so easy when we play UGA (at home)? At the same time they play LSU (at home). For the common opponents is the mantra going to be that the same opponents sucked when we beat them, but typical SEC grinders when they beat aggie? The rest of our SEC schedule is: OU, Kentucky, and Vanderbilt. Theirs is: SC, Auburn and Missouri. So we have the cupcake schedule because we play aTm, and they have the SEC gauntlet because they play us? What a bunch of bitches!14 points

Ukrainian units of the 2nd mechanized battalion of the 53rd mechanized brigade raised the Ukrainian flag over the centre of New-York as a result of recent counterattacks in the city that was mostly occupied by Russia just recently.
