  1. My wife has informed me that I have some extra abdomen if Quinn needs to borrow some. Mouthy broad

  2. I'd rather stay behind Georgia until they come to Austin. Same way I felt about being behind SC in 05. I'd rather have something to prove than something to defend.

  3. I'm not going to be mean or name-call. *Takes deep breath* What the fuck are you talking about? How do you look at Ewers, throwing the ball all over the lot. The different arm angles. The quickness of getting the ball out. The accuracy. The ability to somehow rise to the occasion vs our toughest opponents. And say this shit right here. Is Arch good? Fuck yeah, but we all knew he was going to be good. But at times he looks like an inexperienced QB out there. Who knows what he would look like vs a Bama or Georgia. But here is what we do know, what the fuck Quinn looks like vs a Bama or a Georgia. Look, I am as guilty as anyone of trying to go down with the ship but g-damn!! At some point you need to just tip the cap bro. QE is everything his rating said he would be. If there is one fanbase that needs to shut the fuck up about a QB controversy it's us. If you wanna know where the vitriol is coming from nobody wants a repeat of that bullshit, because in the end we all lost. Say it with me. "Quinn Ewers is our guy when he is healthy". Little shit like this has a way of becoming way bigger and uglier than you can control. One day a suburban Karen looks out her window and posts on FB about her suspicious looking Haitian neighbors. A couple days later Haitians are eating pets in Springfield, Ohio is running on every news outlet across the US.

  7. They matter to people who enjoy following college football. Times ranked #1 is a thing that is tracked. Only dipshits with no sense of excitement or humor would look at Texas being ranked #1 and go Debbie Downer on it. Enjoy it while it lasts because the winner of the UGA/Bama game seems likely to bump Texas and I don’t think we’ll have a quibble. It gets to get settled on the field irrespective.

  8. Idk man I think he just strained his abdomen playing football.

  9. Jesus this thread has turned into a beating. "Quinn's a pussy, Quinn's brittle, Quinn lost the Heisman, Quinn probably screwed up his abs partying too hard last week, Arch should be QB1...." Here the facts: 1. Quinn is a fucking badass. 2. See #1.

  12. Both are great QBs obviously and can make all the throws. Arch would try to improvise when the play breaks down whereas a more mature QE would throw the ball away. I can see why Arch's style of play is more exciting to casual fans but QE has proven to be a slient assassin when playing against the toughest competition. He is our undisputed QB1 when healthy. Arch hasn't played against a good team yet, so we don't know how he would handle pressure right now.

  13. If he didn’t get a shot off, wasn’t he just open carrying and expressing his 2nd Amendment rights? What’s the big deal.

  16. Manning is nothing like Mamziel. Manning has more talent and doesn't run around until a Mike Evans is open. Manning is intelligent and actually knows the playbook. Manning also isn't lazy. And lastly, he's 6'4 220lbs. I don't know who he reminds me of, but it'd definitely not Mamziel.

  18. Eat a dick. Florida beat Oklahoma by 10 on a neutral field and lost to an unranked Ole Miss at HOME. Texas beat Oklahoma by 10 on a neutral field and lost to number 6 ranked Tech IN Lubbock.

  19. It's like against Michigan. Wink comes out in a 50 Bear front with a cover 3 shell behind it and at the snap drops off 2 from the front but brings 2 LB. So still a 50 front rushing 5 and dropping 6 but completely different from the pre-snap read. That rushing front also has the best rated DT in college football and the back 6 has the best rated CB in college football. Arch isn't to the place yet where he processes that in real time and beats it before the rush gets home. Quinn crushed it. That's the difference. And that's why we need Quinn against teams who can bring different looks and change post snap but with All conference/All American level players not UTSA level players. People who think Arch is ready now are just ignorant of how the game works and what's needed at QB. He'll get there, probably by next season, but he's not there yet.

  24. Kurt Bowels has Texas #2 behind UGA. No surprise. https://apnews.com/hub/ap-top-25-college-football-poll?voter=Kirk Bohls&organization=Houston Chronicle EDIT - It appears that the per-voter tracking updates later than the overall poll. When I pulled the data, the poll was recent, but Bohls' data was not.

  25. On the "Quinn is injury prone stuff," here is the injury against Alabama his freshman year: And this is the play last year where he was injured against Houston: Are these injuries due to being injury prone? I don't know; he got absolutely blasted on both. One was a late hit personal foul where he went from suspended in the air to pile driven into the turf by the POS, Dallas Turner. Brett Favre would have been injured on that play. The second was a big, big hit he took while running where he probably shouldn't have been running. From early returns this year, he's developed into the kind of quarterback who won't be taking a lot of hits like that. Last night, I think he injured himself on the first TD when his arm was hit while extended. The abdominal strain could have happened there or subsequently. In either case, those are fairly common QB injuries. If Drew Brees can recover from a dislocated throwing shoulder to play another 15 years in the NFL, Quinn will be fine. His injuries look to me like a function of dirty play (Alabama), a bad decision that he learned from (Houston), and plain bad luck (UTSA). Arch looks like a good one, but reports of Ewers' death have been greatly exaggerated.

  28. As we've discussed in the recruiting forum this is all true but anyone who thinks our two previous coaches wouldn't have still screwed it all up is crazy. Sarkisian has absolutely benefited from some fortunate timing but he's also done a good job taking advantage of it.
