  1. THIS. in fucking furiating! My MIL is 4'8" sweetest lady you'll ever meet. Kind, friendly, but her English is heavily accented. She is scared to go out in public alone now. She's been accosted and made to feel uncomfortable in a country she's been a citizen of for over 50 years! My wife (Chinese decent born in the Florida) and I (basic white boy) are used to causal racism, and it always sucks. In the US, it had mostly become a non-issue / pretty rare. But During/After Covid it felt like we got drug back 30yrs with more people being overtly assholish and racist. Especially to her and especially when I wasn't around. Fucking cowards. Oh and not just the white folks either. My son had kids at school tell him to go back to his own country. I told him that he should ask if they are American Indian, and if not, tell them to get fucked! His family has been here since Jamestown. The other fun little thing these assholes do is equate ethnicity to some imagined magical bond to a far away country and political scheme. Mother fucker, my MIL flew halfway across the planet alone as a 13yr old to ESCAPE communism! JFC I guarantee they hate the Chinese government more completely than any ignorant Fox yokel. They lost everything and worked their asses to be free and live the American dream. Unlike the Cosplaytriots who just happened to be born here. Fuck them all! Sorry for the rant, FUCK!

  2. Opener: reiterate longhorn nation is a great atmosphere. Come early be loud stay late wear orange etc. Another night game Hall of Honor induction ceremony (Alex Okafor) Womens soccer SEC kickoff this week Played 77/120 players, 6 scorers, 9 carried ball, 11 caught a pass, 28 players with defensive stats QB depth getting tested, Quinn non-contact he'll be questionable. Day to day. Great opportunity for Arch, came in with no notice, as a backup should. Came composed, played high level, some things to work on. Story of the game is complimentary football, created explosive plays 9 yard per play, 3.8 yards per play allowed including the 56 yarder bust up on defense. Defense getting big stops is great on recovery Players are being very coachable, coaches are coaching their asses off. ULM 2-0, being nice saying they have a lot of new faces and stuff. Question 1: Collin Simmons getting to QB, what do you like most and whats the next step? He's improved from week 1 to week 4. Has confidence in what to do. Impactful when he gets to rush the passer. Working on making him a complete player, focusing on run game to round him out. Anthony hill comparison, great work ethic and focus. Question 2: how do you keep on track as ranked 1? Because of the playoff "it really doesn't matter" it's not what other people think of us it's what we do. Mission is "far far from over", the guys don't even talk about it. Giving eachother a hard time on what to improve and making fun of ethan burke diving into the endzone. Question 3: Superstar backup QB and hype, how do you handle it? I don't do anything, arch is just another guy on our team. He's just that way, selfless teammate. Coach speak rest of answer everyone sucks each others dicks it doesn't matter. Follow up: Quinn out what's going on? he's a pro, he'll be ready to come back in etc. Question 4: assess defensive coaching staff so far this year doing a great job, adjusted and evolved from year to year. new ideas from Nansen and PK - important that they are playing hard fast and creating turnovers. Having a lot of fun, they are celebrating different than ever before. confidence. Question 5: Ryan Wingo how is he doing as a freshman Size speed range, really rare don't find that every day. Brought humility and work "not look at me ryan wingo". He has an explosive play ability sark has never seen. Working on details, but bright future Question 6: What do you want to see for the next level of the defense? Want to keep people out of the endzone. Create turnovers, keep explosive pass plays from happening. Wants the broken play run for a TD back. Thinks 19 should be 12 allowed this season Question 7: How do you manage the success for your team through the next weeks? I don't care, we don't pay attention, coach speak answer. Hard to see when you are 5-7 consistent messaging. Formula for success, key component "better never rests" Question 8: Talk about running game, what about Jaydon Blue? Blue and Mcdonald are both improving looking good. Run game is blocking really really well, WR being challenged to block better on edges and safetys for really big runs. Jerrick is running like a baby rhino he needs to learn to juke and make people miss in space. Getting use to open field it's new to these runners. Question 9: When did quinn get hurt? Gunnar helm hurdle play. He felt it and no one noticed because he hurdled that guy. He felt it and tried to work it out but it didn't so he went down Question 10: How difficult is it to be mentally prepared to definitely touch the ball with the depth. Choice coaches all of them like they are getting 25 carries a game. Thats why they are ready. Question 11: Assess arch decisions yeah he's doing great, 9/12 great decisions bla bla did checkdowns technical talk about reads. missed a throw human nature. Being a physical team, he took a huge shot and stood in the pocket to deliver a TD pass. He pulled the ball to run and it was great decision making. Question 12: Freshman or recruits coming in, how critical is it to spell out the vision/roadmap/how fast can they contribute? Important for all of them. Compares banks and baxter to helm as freshman vs developers. They have a list of improvements and do it in practice, the more things you do well the more opportunities you get. Special teams is a great way to build confidence. Like working out and eating right transformations when people see you and say wow (lol bitchtits) Question 13: how does the playcalling get effected by mobility like arch? who does he remind you of? the more things we do well the harder we are to defend. Won't major in it, QB won't carry 10-20 yards a game, doesn't mean they won't use it to keep them honest. Comparison Jake Locker who was a great runner and he "had to run him" physically thats the comparison. Question 14: On 3rd down what leads to elite defense? Knowing how we want to play the calls. Technical coach speak. Credit to PK. Doesn't give the rhythm on 3rd down, he'll call things that are catching people off guard. Players executing that call is important. Very good short yardage team. Question 15: Arch to wingo, drops back like lefty then throws righty why would you do that? Subtle pocket movement. they move him around and don't like him straight behind so they can't find rhythm and change launch point. Don't make QB a sitting duck. Question 16: cutoff for quinn to call start? Arch starts alters plans with 1s? Yeah duh you fucking moron. next question Question 17: what have you learned from the tape of your reserves this season? Colton Vasek is great. Likes to see the O-line young guys. Compare week 1 to week 3 cuz a lot played both. Percentage high of improvement Question 18: Question about his dad mode when his son is in? First game he was ripping someones ass, this time He took headset off this time, he just wanted to watch him play. Then he yelled to blitz 32 WHY ARENT YOU BLITZING HIM jokes. registered half a tackle. Honor to play here. Proud of brady etc etc. Question 19: Trey Owens assessment + does it change his week? Yeah fucking duh, he did great poised and composed got fucked by RB made good throws poise and composure was there playing in front of 100k. In good hands with him as the backup.

  4. Embittered Tarp is the best Tarp. This article - Full article + some Q&A below; spoilered the post because of length (South Austin's mom: "That's not a problem! ... heh heh") - but here's an excerpt that conveys tone - "I've been following A&M for 50 years and covered them for 25 of those seasons. I've seen multiple Marcel Reeds come and go. ... They win or put up big numbers and everyone thinks that this guy is the one to take the Aggies to the promised land. Then…a couple of seasons later….the same thing happens to them that happened to the incumbent when they made their debut as a starter. The team isn't quite good enough, they're banged up, the excitement is gone, and the production isn't there so much anymore. You can see the ceiling from whatever section you're in at Kyle Field. It's like A&M fans and their quarterbacks have been married and divorced so many times we've all lost count. " Texas A&M has a QB controversy no matter whether it wants one or not Jeff Tarpley (Aggie 247)

  13. He is a nutbar. His voting history/support is Repub (Trump, then Vivek and Nikki), then some statements of support for Dems (Kamala)....but MOST importantly, he has a long history of....say it with me folks we all know the words.....MENTAL ILLNESS AND CRIMES CONNECTED WITH HIS MENTAL ILLNESS. Dude shouldn't have been able to get anywhere near a firearm. Instead, he procured an AK-47 Supreme (with extra tomatoes and sour cream), and pursued his nutbar dreams. There's a common thread....and it ain't "political affiliation." The two would-be assassins were/are all over the map in that respect. The common thread is....fucked up people who shouldn't have access to guns. BUT....

  23. If your friends fall for this shit, they aren’t smart people. I’m tired of hearing “but they’re very smart otherwise” Ben Carson is a neurosurgeon with degrees from Yale and Michigan and works at Johns Hopkins and thinks pyramids are grain silos. They may be very book smart in their field, but they’re idiots otherwise

  24. I texted my folks about this over the weekend. They’re former Republicans who saw the light in 2020 and now vote Dem. But their friends and family are probably 80%+ MAGA imbeciles. And at least my mom refuses to consider that maybe her dear friends are shitheads. My point was this: Trump and Vance are spreading vile, Nazi-style blood libel. It will get people hurt or killed. Anyone who continues to support them at this point is a bad person. It doesn’t matter that they go to your church or root for the same baseball team or take good care of their lawn. We’ve seen this playbook before and everyone knows it’s evil and the key that, throughout history, opens the door to atrocity. If your friends or family vote for Trump knowing he’s scapegoating an innocent minority group for political gain, they are evil.

  25. I have a friend that played in the SEC and has a son starting to get into CFB. They live in Texas and the kid is Texas fan to his father’s chagrin. They ask me yesterday, “who do you take, Vince Young or Ewers & Manning?”. My response was simple: “Vince Young is the greatest college football player to ever live.” The dad rolled his eyes. Don’t care. We are nonetheless walking in some very high cotton right now.

  26. They're viewing Williams as a safety as of now. It's hard to watch the film and say "oh, he's a linebacker" at this point. The guys they want in the secondary, barring someone emerging from fall scouting, are highly coveted by the teams' they're committed to and those teams are not stupid. I wouldn't be surprised if they're trying to not have certain guys listed as visiting and aiming for very late flips. Of course, that will fail because Geoff Ketchum will inevitably hear something from somewhere and fuck it all up. I don't know if I am putting the pieces together correctly or not, but my view is that the CB committed to Ohio State from Alabama could just show up at some point. Take that with a grain of salt, for sure.
