  1. “Might be our easiest conference win” is what it will be. This is the worst team in the conference by a wide margin. They just lost at home by double digits to the second worst team. Only UH is as bad a team in the Big 12 this year and those are probably the worst P4 teams. These guys are slow, undersized, undermanned via injury, and look poorly coached. Along with Ohio State, I think Texas is the fastest team in the country. This is a match-up made in heaven by the football gods for Texas when it comes to “welcome to the SEC” bullshit. Hey motherfuckers, Texas is not locked in here with you. You’re locked in here with Texas.

  2. He's pissed because he read one of my previous tweets on a Texas message board. I bet that bitch is a member of Orange bloods. I called him out and he had to walk back his statement on the radio this morning. Then he said he wouldn't name names and wanted to fight 🤣🤣

  4. I had dinner over the weekend with my previously referenced "source close to the campaign," and a few nuggets are worth sharing here: Arizona: They're very confident about Arizona. I mean, they're so confident about Arizona that I was somewhat shocked. I mean, I feel good about Arizona. But what I heard was "we're going to win Arizona by 1-2 points." Georgia: They're maybe a little less confident about Georgia. But that was couched in terms of "we really like where we stand right now." Michigan: We're fine. Nevada: They're unequivocal on Nevada: "we're going to win Nevada by 2-2.5 points." North Carolina: This one is really harder to tell, because they don't have any information from after the whole Mark Robinson flame-out. It's pretty clear to them that the likes of Kari Lake and Mark Robinson are a bit of a drag on Trump. And they're really trying to target people who have decided they're not going to vote for Lake/Robinson but who are still planning to vote for Trump. Who are those people? I don't exactly know, but it's obviously a focus of the Harris campaign's data people. Texas: I think the term "extreme skepticism" is the only way to describe their feelings with respect to Texas. My friend conceded that there are some numbers that look good-ish for Allred. But damn--we've all been through this drill before. There's just an extreme unwillingness to divert resources at any level to Texas, no matter what any poll is currently saying. Pennsylvania: I take this one out of alphabetical order because that's where the game is. My friend gamely tried to obfuscate on the point, but quickly conceded that Pennsylvania is the tipping-point state. And they're feeling ok about Pennsylvania, but they have a big problem with Black men. How big a problem I can't exactly say. But it's causing some serious concern. I asked about whence the problem derives, and he said two things: 1) Kamala's perceived record as a prosecutor (and alleged prosecutions of small-time marijuana offenses) and 2) misogyny (and particularly as against a Black woman). On the upside, the campaign has identified the issue and is doing a whole lot to address it. That State Commonwealth is being absolutely blanketed with campaign surrogates talking directly to that community to shore up those numbers. And I'm going to observe here--and this was my observation, and not my friend's (though it was an observation with which he agreed)--that this is where the Harris campaign's superiority in resources shows. They have something like twice as many field offices as the Trump campaign and RNC have. We spent a good deal of time just laughing at how Lara Trump is siphoning off money from the RNC and killing their organizing and down-ballot support. So the Trump campaign isn't really able to go out and play offense and try to exploit the problems Harris is having with that (or any other) demographic. So from that standpoint, it's kind of the opposite of 2016.

  5. Intro: DKR Environment was really great and special created something. first year crowd was here but trying to figure out who they are. Now it's a really great home field advantage. Got to see highlights of the NFL guys and what they are doing. Bijan and X playing in a prime time game. As a team, good complementary football. Anthony hill gets called back block in the back but turnover still leads to touchdown points on turnovers. Pinned them deep and forced a safety then immediately got a short field for a touchdown. Players of the game Anthony Hill and Leona Lefau - the depth is incredible, they aren't counting their reps they are making their reps count. Jadon Blue played an incredible football game, Arch played alright, 5-6 plays and checkdowns room for growth thats the difference between 52% completion and 65%+. Greatest thing he heard this morning: Jaydon Blue said "man I should have played a lot better than I did" and he had 4 TD's and 100+ yards. They want to get better. SEC Opener this weekend. Coach Lebby is a fucking bitch, our team is gonna focus on them 3:15 kick come early stay late and play the brand of football we are accustomed to. fuck these bitches up. Question 1: brought in a lb portal who didn't work out. What did you think of liona and Tyanthony? Leona was awesome on special teams. Great relationship with Nansen. Tyanthony too. Sark didn't know what he was getting he thought it was developmental. Very instinctual and athletic. Getting meaningful snaps. Feel good about the future at that position. Gbenda and Blackwell also great. Question 2: through 4 games, talk about move barron to outsde and guilbeau in the mix How do we get our 5 best players on the field? Jahdae has a high football IQ he learned corner safety and already knew star. Gives great value in the run game and flexible for manny Mohamed. Very versatile group, gavin holmes impactful. Lots of depth and versatility in the secondary. Multitude of coverages and disguising, great communication knows what they want to get done. Question 3: why do you think team has been able to control games from kickoff? Believe in the formula for success. Preparation, practice = confidence to play. They aren't playing to what the game is, they are so focused on what they need to do so it's consistent in the approach throughout the week, warmups and coming out of the locker room. This team personality is coming out and they have swagger they earned Question 4: Wide receiver room losses in x, Mitchell, jwhitt how do you have bolden, Matthews, bond, wingo come in and play as well as they do? Challenge is we have an NFL offense. They knew they wanted to come in for that. It's one thing for physical ability and another to know what to do. You can play fast if you know what to do. That group has real speed. Incredible depth, you never know which guy is going to be the guy who is going to have the explosive game. All of them have made huge impacts in each game they've come in with big plays. Doesn't have to force injured guys back out there deandre moore banged up and can just put another one in Question 5: Have you had to change the offense at all because CJ isn't there and Blue out a game? Is this what you thought the offense would look like? Injury updates on Quinn and Moore? He didn't change it, they've challenged the backs. He doesn't know if there is something different that someone else is seeing. We are doing all we want to do. Would like to have the screen game pick up, thats an area of improvement. Schematically they have been the same. Quinn practiced today, but questionable and moore practiced today as well. Question 6: How does arch's football IQ and preparation stack up against other guys you've had before, how much is he accelerated because of the intangibles? He loves football, he studies it. When the ball is snapped he has to play the game. Warns him not to overprepare and he needs to be able to react to what happens instead of looking for what he thinks is going to happen. Wants to be the fastest mental players on every snap. Arch good at this. Question 7: The game felt long to him (arch) what were you convos like and how did he hold up? One thing he did well Saturday was responding to adversity after the interception. He wouldn't have been that resilient last season He has matured and grown in that regard significantly. He believes in his ability which is great. Hes going to learn the value of explosive plays on the perimeter in check downs. Impressed that he's rebounding so strongly mentally. Question 8: What do you think of the injury reports as a staff? What does quinn have to do to play? He has to show me enough to play. Can he execute? Not making excuses needs to be healthy enough to play at a high level if he can't he won't start. Impressed with where he was today. Thinks the report is a good thing. Clarity of why: leaks needed to be addressed because of gambling and scoop so that the trainers and players aren't getting bothered by asshole insiders trying to know. Injury reports still need vetting. Question 9: Do you do business as usual or SEC opener change in pace? Literally business as usual. Coach speak. Respect first game, but doesn't matter. This is an SEC championship game. Every week is the championship game. tie breaker rule sucks if you aren't at the top. quit reading after 2 pages of tie breaker. Question 10: mississippi state runs tempo and splits how hard is that to plan for? lebby respect but they are going to shit on them. Look out for getting stuck in a formation going really fast. doesnt' make a shit what QB is there Question 11: How do you think the SEC is gonna be different between BigXII and now? Theres a lot of big humans in this conference. 8 conference games and understanding how depth and skill players play. about team building to attack that accordingly. The mental intensity needed to compete every week in the SEC. Missouri overtime with vandy. Georgia dogfight with Kentucky. Top to bottom is challenging. Question 12: media day 2021 announced and you immediately started putting the plan in place for big humans talk through journey from planning then to now that in SEC? It was a little bit of a shift, he didn't know about SEC move, but he knew that this style of roster and team needed to beat the best team in the SEC anyway if they wanted to win the NC. Just about executing the plan from the getgo Heck of a journey. Glad to win Big XII championship out the door. at Texas "it just means more too" The expectation for winning a national championship is there. Question 13: Times when arch can be too focused and locked in, do you think as he matures that he will loosen up and change? He's very consciensous guy and he can overthink it a little. He's gonna get loose and confident he's at his best when he's enjoying playing ball. Fine line of figuring it out, experience very important. Question 14: Do you remember a moment when you looked at the program you looked at it and said "we are SEC ready"? Last year, big physical speed last year but not enough depth. Pretty good team last year. Beat alabama at home and they were SEC Champs. This year questioning the depth, that question has been answered and thinks it can withstand the 8 game season. Feels like a complete team that way. Question 15: There's a no nonsense tone when talking to even happy go lucky guys like Anthony hill is that a culture thing? does it trickle down? Yeah thats a cutlture thing. Everyone but 4 guys is recruiting or brought in by the staff. A lot of people don't know anything different and thats by design. Favorite thing is watching them say the things naturally that he's been beating into them for years. It's not coach talk its team talk. They are bought in and living it, they've elevated it. They are answering the why and that's when good things happen. Question 16: 9 or 10 passes beyond 20 yards was that schematic or just personality arch? That was the plan going into that game. Their safety's were slow as fuck and they knew. They talked about gameplan before and laughed about how many shots there were on there. Arch is a great deep ball thrower. His willingness is there. Byproduct of that. Wished he would have given him a few more freebie passes instead of just the hard stuff he threw at arch. Needs to learn to check down, but sark needs to learn to call the easy plays too. Question 17: with Texas defense being top ranked that is indicative of PK's vision but talk about nansen? Having continuity and adding johnny Nansen and the good defense they played at Arizona. He's got a great style of coaching he's very active they have to keep him off the field high intensity and lots of passion. Players respond to him well. PK and Johnny are a great pair and he brought some good schematics with him Question 18: when you were enviswiooning this roster what were the pillars defensively and where are you compared to that now? Every position is important. Stout DL important gotta stop the run. Wanted impact pass rushers who can be violent on the edge. Length and stuff for screens to knock down. Versatile players at star and safety because they have to blitz cover tackle etc. needed really athletic linebackers because spread field and need the athleticism. Look at the body types in each position and they are indicative of what they are looking for. Question 19: How much of this week is asking quinn how he feels as part of going back and him being honest? They have done this dance before coming back from injury. They have a lot of time together. History together is most beneficial going into this week. THANKS BYE

  6. The Mathis recruitment has the “go get fucked” element for Texas with Bo Davis. If that guy wants to come to Texas, it doesn’t matter who else is coming. Given scholarship expansion, 6 DTs wouldn’t surprise me. Neither would 4 and 2-3 portal guys who are good additions but don’t break the bank. It now seems really clear that they’ve expanded their DE/Edge number to 3 and they’re getting Hilson this weekend barring something super weird. That will be the best DE/Edge haul in the country, following what probably was in the 2024 class. There’s a growing notion that if you want a flex TE to be terrific in Sarkisian’s offense, they need to be homegrown or a transfer who will be patient and work within the system for a few years. I think that plays a role in why Texas seems to really want Terry.

  7. As a lifelong Bowling Green Falcons fan from a multi-generational family of proud alumni, I wanted to take a moment to extend my deepest thanks to everyone at Texas A&M for the unforgettable experience we had during our game on September 21, 2024. While the Aggies came out on top on the scoreboard, the true victory was the warmth and hospitality shown to us visitors from start to finish. From the moment we arrived on your breathtaking campus, we were in awe. The beauty of Texas A&M is more than just in its architecture or sprawling green spaces—it's in the spirit of its people. We couldn’t help but feel a deep admiration for your proud military history, something that truly sets A&M apart. The reverence for tradition, the honoring of service, and the sense of duty embedded in the fabric of your university are qualities to be admired and respected by any visitor. Our game day was made even better by the hospitality we received at every turn. Whether it was at the tailgate parties where Aggie fans invited us to share in the food and festivities or the kindness of students and locals who pointed us in the right direction when we found ourselves lost trying to find the stadium—we felt like we were among friends. The Aggie fans are something special—enthusiastic, loud, and supportive. Your 12th Man is truly a force, and witnessing that energy in Kyle Field was nothing short of spectacular. The team played a fantastic game, and while we would have loved to leave with a win, we couldn’t help but be impressed by the sportsmanship and skill on display. And a special shout-out to the wholesome and friendly nature of the women we met on campus—A&M is filled with people who represent the best of what a university can foster in its students: kindness, pride, and a deep sense of community. Although my roots will always be in Bowling Green, one thing’s for sure—I’ll be telling future generations of Falcons to consider A&M when they look for their own college experience. You have earned a special place in our hearts, and we’ll always remember this trip with fondness. Gig 'em Aggies, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts! With gratitude, A Proud Bowling Green Fan

  8. So, sometimes you get smack talk in this post. Sometimes you get talk of beatings we are going to lay down. Sometimes you get hype. Occasionally, you get nerves and excitement. This time, something different. Going to talk a little about what college football means and getting older… Once upon a time, football was a way for me to be involved with other people and act like a normal person, growing up. It was how I related to my grandpa and dad and uncles and stuff like that. They wouldn’t want to talk about current events, or how the world works, or history or economics or faith or other stuff I was interested in growing up. But, we could always relate to each other over a football game. Later in life, it became a reason to go “home”, a reason to call or text my friends. I always had a much better pulse on my friend group from August to January- when we text each other during game week about what would happen or game watching, and throw in stuff about engagements, marriages, weddings, divorces, pregnancies, births, jobs, achievements and the like. Relationships that go into hibernation for much of the year become normal again during the football season. It could be a reason to travel, cut loose, drink, enjoy yourself and put aside responsibilities that turn you from a normal person back into the care free life that you put aside when responsibilities became more pressing. Now- as I get older, it’s a chance to show my kids the world, build memories that will last forever etc. I always say baseball with its day to day is like background music and a soundtrack to life in that year. Football, however, acts like a calendar that marks years and seasons and the passage of time for me. I love it and getting to take my baby and last child to her first game ever was and seeing the wonder and awe in her face throughout the trip was as good as anything I’ve ever done. That’s how you turn a glorified scrimmage against a shitty ULM team into one of the best gameday experiences of my life. This is the last time anyone will ever have to indulge my navel gazing asshattery in this space. Seeing our glorious leader @immamacat the tailgate with his 4 year throwing the football was cool as he’s doing that same kind of thing. On to next week against Mississippi State as the SEC kicks off. They are terrible and we should win convincingly. Then, it’s bye and OU in Dallas which is normal UT fare. I don’t believe we will have our first “welcome to the SEC” moment until we host Georgia. Klan aggy doesn’t interest me any more than corn aggy, or dust bowl aggy ever did. But it’s coming and it’s going to be awesome. MSU game week stuff happens here. Enjoy this ride fellas. here’s my daughters first game pregame:

  10. It is WILD, because we've been hearing for over a decade how tough the SEC is week in and week out, and now we have an SEC schedule, plus the defending national champs in non-conference, and it's somehow the easiest schedule anyone has ever played. WILD.

  14. Like a million other things, this should have ended their campaign. Right then and there. They terrorized a group of people for no reason, to the extent that the town is dealing with bomb threats at schools and hospitals. I know we're the frog in the pot and everything, but fucking shit people.

  15. We’ll see what happens to Arkansas with a fully armed and operational Sarkisian roster. This little piggie went to market, is my guess. Last year’s OU game was a fuck up, no doubt. I don’t doubt that Sarkisian understands that game, though. Texas didn’t lose because Sarkisian’s team was overwhelmed by the intensity of the rivalry. It lost because it didn’t protect the ball, couldn’t score in the red zone, and, well, I’m trying to block out some of the defensive stuff. He has made effort specifically to address those failures. OU will feel the brunt of that. Arkansas is going to get kicked in the balls. A&M is going to get curbstomped on their own hallowed field. This is how Texas football is meant to be, and it’s about goddamned time to set the universe straight about that.
