  1. Here’s what’s going to happen: Trump is going to lose every swing state and Fla and Texas thereby getting his ass handed to him in electoral votes and cementing him as the true loser he is forever and always. And Texas is going to win the SEC undefeated in its first year, once and for all exposing the myth of the SEC. Thus two very important questions of our time will be answered definitively this fall. And all will be right with the world. We will look back proudly on the Fall of 24 for a long, long time.

  2. Did someone actually post that the A&M game is meaningless to us? On this board? That's a real thought that someone had in their head and they actually took the time to type it out? I'm baffled. Flummoxed. Let me tell you something - it will be extremely meaningful when we skull fuck the Aggies up and down Kyle field. When we demoralize them so badly that your Aggie coworkers and neighbors won't look you in the eye for a week. When the in-state recruits that we want don't even consider A&M as anything better than a second choice. I want to send their asses back to the stone age where they belong and every other Texas fan should too. Seriously fuck them, for all the shit they've talked over the past 10+ years. All the Big 12 games they didn't play but would've won. We are going to cram more than a decade's worth of bullshit back down their throat on November 30 and it will be very meaningful to every Texas fan, every Aggie, and everyone who might have any input on our reputation or future as a program. I swear, I am about the blow a gasket reading this shit.

  3. My daughter turned 18 in August, and she just registered to vote a few days before I fly her to Oregon to move her into her freshman dorm. She's going to vote absentee from college, and she knows that her vote in Texas won't mean much. But she wants to contribute to what we hope is a popular vote pile on, and she said she'd regret not voting, no matter the outcome. Man, I hope there are a lot more like her in November.

  4. Gerry Hamilton Three recruiting percentages to update The Texas Longhorns No. 5/6 recruiting class is headed towards a top 3 class, with a No. 2 finish a possibility. Steve Sarkisian and staff are working with the most recruiting momentum at Texas in quite some time, and there are three prospect OnTexasFootball continues to feel good about above all others. Javion Hilson, EDGE, Cocoa (Fla.) High The one time Alabama and Florida State verbal is scheduled to be in Austin this weekend for an unofficial visit. Texas is considered the heavy favorite for the 4-star++ EDGE prospect out of the Sunshine State. Hilson, 6-4 and 230'ish, has mentioned making visits throughout the season. OTF continues to believe that is not a lock. OTF % for the Horns: 75% Michael Terry III, ATH, San Antonio (Texas) Alamo Heights The 4-star++ athlete is a Texas vs. Nebraska battle with Oregon still in communication. Nebraska has made this one very tough on the Horns, as the Cornhuskers are completely all in. Texas is also all in on Terry, as he's considered an extremely talented and versatile prospect. OTF % for the Horns: 75% Chace Sims, DL, Richmond (Texas) Randle The Texas A&M verbal will make an official visit to Texas this weekend with his family. This one simply comes down to the weekend visit, and most important the in person conversations with Steve Sarkisian, Kenny Baker and defensive staff. This will be the first time for those in person convos since there wasn't a June official visit. OTF % for the Horns: 80%

  6. It was mid-morning on a cold day in late February. As was his custom following a good night's sleep in an open field of grass, The Elk was seated at a well-appointed picnic table hard by the Brazos River, breaking his fast. Pausing to wipe barbecue sauce from his chin, The Elk told his strength and conditioning coach to superintend not just the physical makeup of their players, but also to work on the mental side of things. An Ivy League coach learns these things, and knows these things. "We need them to be tough and smart," The Elk said, while grazing on a well-lathered rack of ribs. He paused for a few moments to let these words of wisdom sink in, and to gobble three more ribs, before continuing. "The best teams adopt their coach's mindset," The Elk added, washing down his repast with a few fingers of Dewars. It was a well laid trap for his unsuspecting prey. The Elk would strengthen his herd, and trample all foes that coming fall. There was but one weakness in this plan. Tommy Moffitt had forgotten his hearing aids that morning, as he scrambled out of bed. And so, after being dismissed from his audience with The Elk, Moffitt repeated his new instructions over and over again that morning. "The best teams adopt their coach's midriff," Moffitt mumbled. "The best teams adopt their coach's midriff." He didn't understand why, but who was he to question the great Elk?

  7. Mack Brown has exactly one talent in life, and that’s salesmanship. He’s an elite bullshit artist and can recruit enough talent to (mostly) overcome his complete inability to coach football. He’s also a narcissist who would burn a program to the ground rather than watch another coach succeed in his place, imo.

  9. Bad news has been circulating for a few days: According to the Washington Post, the United States believes that Ukraine has not made a “compelling case” for permission to strike deep into Russia with American weapons. “Ukraine is better off focusing on destroying targets in Crimea. Strikes on Russia are not worth the risk of escalation.” - American officials.

  10. Perception wise, not showing up against an in state recruiting rival, resuming a rivalry after over a decade apart, and starting your 3rd stringers beccause you've got a chance at a national title run later in the year is a bad message to recruits, a bad message to fans, and a bad message to our own players. Fuck no. You play your starters for a half and go up appropriately and yank everyone.

  12. The "SEC is a grind" and "every game is physical" has now turned into "Texas plays such an easy SEC schedule." This is why nobody likes these insufferable SEC pricks. You dumbasses have been arguing for years that the reason the SEC is so tough is that even the bottom feeders are good.

  16. There's no decision to make. NC or No NC on the line, you stomp those mouthy fucking morons into the ground. It won't shut them up, but they need to be kept in their place. I don't care who we're playing. Trying to get cute regarding possible future scenarios will bite you in the ass more times than you'd like.

  21. This was my favorite exchange. Reality-based aggy makes objective and accurate observation on struggling position groups supported by facts. First response is "this is just wrong" with zero supporting data.

  22. Sark has done a good job with all brakes in these games to stop us from score 70 multiple times. But if there’s one game I can donate to that sark will keep all the starters in until the final whistle it’s aggy. The goal should be a modern record for yards and points. Going for 2 after every TD. Onside kicks in the 4th. A 75 point win would be something these fuckers will literally never ever recover from.

  23. The schedule was made based on winning percentage in SEC conference games (Big 12 for UT/OU) Texas face 4 teams in the top half of the SEC in winning percentages from 2012-2022: UGA, OU, UF, aggy aggy faces 4 as well: LSU, UF, Texas, Auburn OU faces four as well: Bama, LSU, Texas, Auburn The major difference in the schedule, which is impossible to take into account is which team that is normally good is not so good (UF/Aub are bad, OU/aggy/LSU are questionable) and which team that is normally not so good is having a good year (Mizzou, Ole Miss, Tennessee). Other than Auburn and maybe LSU, the top teams on Oklahoma’s schedule are still good and they caught all the not so good teams peaking at the wrong time. Other than UGA, Texas does not have any of the other historically good teams firing on all cylinders, and all the not so good teams are still not so good. The methodology is sounds and not biased, even if the outcome is unequal, but unless you’re making the schedule only 6 months in advance, it’s impossible to have balanced schedules.
