"He won't do it" HE won't do anything. Stephen Miller will get it done. And the fucking ghouls in the administration because they learned from the first time not to appoint or hire anyone squeamish about making the decisions that completely run afoul of the Constitution and American democracy. Can we please stop acting like a completely unrestrained second Trump term, without having to worry about re-election, is going to hold back on anything? And who the hell is going to stop him? Senate Republicans? SCOTUS? Bitch please.26 points

It's the same issue as most of the other historic cheaters - they don't have the kind of money they need now to moneywhip the marketplace. Save Ohio State, the rest of them only had enough to play a closed game against 8-10 other players where the stakes were relatively low. Players were bought for stuff as stupid as a $4k visit, $5k commitment and $10k signing all the way over to a max of like $150k for a Marvin Wilson. Fisher and the aggies came along and doubled everything in order to get people to ATM, but it still wasn't a ton. The Bama allotment maxed at $800k for the 2020 cycle and LSU's was less than that. Now? The price of poker moved by more than a full magnitude shift. None of those idiots can come close to that consistently except for Auburn, which is wholly dependent on the commitment from one patron and his whims. Ohio State was never in a spot where they worried about the money. So OU wasn't very active in the bag game, even if they've always cheated. Now that the burden is 8 digits? They're going to be making a lot of excuses and pointing a lot of fingers, same as the other fuckfaces that can get relegated to also-ran status.24 points

I voted Trump the first time, voted Biden second time and will absolutely be voting for Kamala. I laugh at myself sometimes how much I have changed and a lot of it is getting older and having a kid. I don’t see myself ever going back republican but I always try to keep an open mind plus it shows what one shitty candidate can do to a party.23 points

I hate gun culture so fucking much. Obviously grew up in Texas, so you know protection and all that, sure, whatever. But people who make guns their life, or sport, or any of that shit? Fucking disgusting as hell. It's cringy in the exact same way Tim The Tool Man Taylor's obsession with power tools was supposed to be a joke, like normally people don't make their entire lives about a fucking tool. I live behind a gun range now, and starting friday evening until sunday night, it's like a fucking war zone. My senior dog, 15 years old, gets fucking terrified when we go for walks because it's like the fourth of july 3 days a week, every week. And of course, the one fucking time I actually brought MY gun to the gun range for safety training, the moment me and my dad's brown asses stepped through the door, everybody got quite and stared at us and didn't say a fucking word until we left. Growing up, even in fucking Texas, the way people glorify guns wasn't common. I see people with AK47 stickers on the back of their trucks every goddamn day. It legitimately reminds me of what we were told Afghanistan was like after 9/11, how "terrorists" were flashing their AKs everywhere. But it's ok when bubba beer belly down the street does it because he's white and delightsome. Like, no, I don't feel safe with the dipshit who occasionally takes a swig of skoal because he mixed up his cans holding a deadly weapon. Fuck guns and their stupid fucking culture.22 points

There are two sides to that coin. Sometimes you have to fight for your kid. Here is an example. We live in a lily white suburb where last I counted(my kid was in 8th) there were only 11 ethnic kids altogether in my kid's grade. That's all ethnicities other than white combined. My kid started the year(high school) missing 5 of the first 10 days of school because of away vball tournaments. She got a 15 and a 16 on the first two quizzes on Algebra 2. There was 0 communication with us. No emails or anything. My wife saw the first grade on my daughter's school app and messaged the teacher. No response. The volleyball coach is working from her end. No response either. My wife contacts the AP. Next thing you know we get an email from the math teacher saying she failed the second quiz and is no longer eligible to compete in volleyball. Mind you, all her other grades are A's. So we call a meeting. In the meeting the first thing the lady said was Algebra 2 is above our kid's head and she recommends she drop out and take an easier course. I immediately got pissed. My kid has never gotten bad grades before, even in math. Instead of looking back and coming to the conclusion that there must be some fundamental thing she simply isn't grasping, she decided to give up on her a few weeks into the year. "Black kid not smart enough to grasp math". I get pissed and corner her on the fact that when she never notified us of anything. I also pointed out that as a soon to be D1 athlete, she needs that course, and she could lose her scholarship if her college saw that she failed a course or dropped it. So they agreed to let her retake both tests over 4 days. I could tell the lady didn't think it was possibly by her expression. We go home and start working with her. We found what she was struggling with and worked a few problems until she had a solid grasp on the mechanics. She got two 85s on the retakes(that's the highest grades allowed) and went on to do well from then on. TLDR- Sometimes teachers think your black kid is just stupid instead of giving the same effort they give with other kids. Many black parents find themselves having to go up to the school. Fuck all of them. I hate the SEC and I hope the SEC hates us back. I'm glad to be a part of the conference. In many ways I'll admit we needed them more than they needed us. College football is now going to be centered around the Big 10 and the SEC in all kinds of ways, and without a membership in one of those two conferences we wouldn't have a seat at the table. But I'm glad we didn't join this collection of hillbillies sooner. I've watched/listened to so many SEC centered internet shows over the last two years, and you can just feel the sense that we're outsiders oozing out of everyone. And it's not the same kind of outsider vibe a school like Missouri gets, because they're not really seen as a threat. Or A&M, which everyone understands is just a little different, even if like the Aggies love to brag about, no one really understands why. We do, but they don't. There's a sense we just think we're better than everyone else - which we do - without really deserving to feel that way - as if that has ever really mattered to us. There's also a sense there's something inherently wrong with the football program that we've underachieved for so long. People love to bring that up over and over again. Not just SEC fans. Big 12 fans loved to do it. College football fans loved to do it. If you don't have the right coach all the resources in the world aren't going to help you. And if you do have the right coach, sometimes they can make a huge difference in not having as much resources as everyone else. We have never had a coach we fired or forced to resign go on to great success anywhere else. Not Akers. Not McWilliams (who never went back into coaching). Not Mackovic. Not Brown. Not Strong. Herman is still a little bit up in the air, but I'm hoping for his abject failure as well. We've made bad hires. That's it. Now, some of that can be blamed on the hiring process, but I've seen completely borked hiring processes manage to get the right guy. Pete Carroll at USC is my biggest example of that. But you have to get the right guy, and we haven't on a regular basis. That's it. That's the issue. In any case, I'm going to enjoy thoroughly being the heel in this conference in a way this conference has never seen. Not Florida with Spurrier. Not Alabama. Not Georgia. Because we literally think we're better than all these other cocksuckers, and that's going to rub people the wrong way the same way it always has. Especially when we win big. I'm going to enjoy all the discounting so much. But we have to win, and eventually we have to win a national title. I just like the general direction the program is heading in under Sarkisian. Regardless of the outcome of this particular game, which I do think we're going to win.19 points

I put together a little edit of the 1st half of this season using only the Texas Creative Media team's footage. And to keep it on topic from earlier in the thread, the song is The Hardest Cut by Spoon, Austin's very own and arguably the greatest American rock band of the last 25 years. texashardestcut.mp417 points

Yep. I have been a democrat my whole life. But I am not hoping for the death of the Republican Party. I am hoping for the return to sanity. Politics without competition between two, reasonable, competent people is not good for anyone. I may never vote for a Republican, but I want to have that choice.16 points

A very good friend who is originally from North Carolina just texted me that her parents just texted her that they voted today and they voted for Kamala. This is a HUGE fucking deal because her dad has always voted republican and was a die hard trumper until recently. My friend has been working on him for years sending him articles and talking with him. He has been wearing the camp Harris/Walz hat recently too. Keep the faith yall. If he can be turned, others can too. LFG! Forgot to mention he’s a veteran. It’s happening16 points

Dave Bautista finally does what I've been waiting for someone to do: have a completely jacked, known-for-masculinity dude come out and just rip the fuck into trump and his sissy ways: 15 minutes 30 seconds if the time stamp doesn't work. Is Bautista the best dude ever to leave WWE? He's like the anti-hulk hogan. What a dude. "He's got bigger jugs than dolly parton." "he can barely walk down stairs" "He looks like he's jerking off a giraffe" "He bends over for putin." "He's moody, he pouts." "What's the matter tough guy? Did somebody grab you by the pussy? Whiny bitch." Holy shit I love this hahaha16 points

Pics of trump loading/unloading/shooting a gun? You are fully head in the sand. I post on all the gun toting/hunting threads you do because we are the same in many ways. Born and raised in Texas by folks raised in the 1930s. We agree on a shitload of things I bet. The difference is, I didn't spend the last 20+ years consuming fox news and I don't have socials that force me to consume shit due to an algorithm. The quicker you realize this, the better your life will be. You have been brainwashed by outside forces. Proof is in the nra post. Do better my man.15 points
