  4. Go back to the day after Arkansas skull fucked us in 2021, and tell yourself that in 3 years time we will be furious at a 9-1 team (21-3 in 2 years) that just beat Arkansas by double digits on the road. Things could be worse

  7. I love these guys. Eight out of ten opponents held under 20 points. Five of those held to 10 or less. Sacks and takeaways all over the place. This is a championship defense.

  10. Man, could yall imagine this place if we lost??? The Good Guys are 9-1. Do yall remember when we celebrated being bowl eligible? This has been a great run for the last two years. In the spirit of the upcoming holidays, can we let whomever said whatever go, minus wanting QE hurt? We got the W at Arky which is hard to do. Our future is in our hands. Do we all not realize that we will likely be going to the SEC championship game in our first year? Then onwards to CFP glory and I know typing that will bring out the buts, buts, buts people. Let’s enjoy this for a couple of fucking hours, JFC.

  11. Was Quinn great? No. Was the OL shit for him today? Yes. Did WRs and TEs not catch catchable balls? Yes. Did we win by 10 in a place we haven't won in since VY was on the team? Yes. This is life in the SEC. We're not blowing out teams when we travel to them like Big 12 days. Just take the win and move on. We're not that far from no longer having Quinn at the QB position. He did what he needed to today. He didn't lose the game. That's enough when every team has us circled on their calendar. The defense is going to keep us in games. We just need Quinn at 50% to win games.

  13. The purpose of the game thread is to exist in a free-flow state of emotional exposure. Without context. Without superego. No past and no future. Only the present. It is our true state.

  14. Any road conference win is a good win. I tend to think the defense played really well and was getting worn down by the second half. Really felt like Texas was gonna fuck around and blow it there in the late third/early fourth but credit to the offense for stepping up when they absolutely had to. I believe if Texas doesn't go down and score when they get the ball up 13-10, Arkansas wins the game. Ewers, I mean, it is what it is. Think he played okay. Took care of the ball and hit on some really nice short/intermediate throws. Also had some self sacks that were big setbacks and missed Helm on that slant that should have been 20-0. The deep balls are head scratchers. He is worse than 2022 somehow. Sark's clearly not going to make a change at this point but there's no way this team wins a title when defenses don't have to take the vertical passing game remotely seriously. Feeling pretty zen about it honestly. Let's just go beat aggy. 11-1 with a 3-0 record against OU, piglets, and aggy all away from home would be a categorical success.

  15. We won our last three Big XII true road games last year by 7, 3 and 10 points. Road wins in any conference are a big deal and can never be taken for granted.

  16. Y'all got us today. The fumble was the end of the game. If we had scored, it could have put a little pressue on the Horn offense and who knows? Maybe the Hogs catch a break and something good happens. But it didnt. Bothe teams let some things get away. The afore mentioned fumble for the Hogs, multiple catchable passes that Hog receivers let bounce of their hands. Horns dropped a couple and had a couple of chances get away with curious things, like throwing a pass for minus yards a few times when throwing it away was a better idea. But, you took advantage enough to do what a team has to do in the SEC. Overcome the bad and make enough good to go forward. And your Horns go home with the win. Congrats on the win. See ya' in basketball season.

  20. Wishing for an injury on the QB1 of your own team is bottom-of-the-barrel stuff. But then again, your posting history shows you've always been happy wallowing in the slime and muck. Hell, your avatar alone reflects that, so congrats on owning the fact you're fucking sleazebag.

  29. Longhorns Beat Razorbacks 20-10, But Game Officially Counts as a Loss AP Nov 16 6:30PM EST In an unusual turn of events, the Texas Longhorns defeated the Arkansas Razorbacks 20-10 on the field but walked away with an official loss on their record. The strange result has left fans confused. Late in the fourth quarter, with Texas leading 20-10, their poor performance forced their fans, game officials and NCAA representatives to ultimately award Arkansas the win. "It's a tough pill to swallow," said Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian. "We played hard, and the players deserved to celebrate that win, but we take responsibility for the loss." For Arkansas, the reversal offers little consolation. "We didn’t play well enough to win on the field," said Razorbacks head coach Sam Pittman. "But we’ll take the result and move forward." This bizarre conclusion leaves the Longhorns with a stinging reminder that every detail matters, both on and off the field. While the scoreboard said one thing, the record books will tell a different story.

  34. When I woke up last Wednesday, I felt a lot of emotions. Anger that we put him back in charge. Sadness, obviously. A little bit of fear about what was to come. Confusion as to how my perception of what was going to happen in the election was so wrong. But soon, all of those took a backseat to an unexpected one: acceptance. Acceptance that my current view of the country differs from the majority. Acceptance that no matter how strongly I feel about something or how "informed" I think I am, it has no impact on the outcome. Acceptance that vibes matter more than concrete ideas in an election. Acceptance that people decide who they are voting for and THEN rationalize that choice, not vice versa. I decided that morning to delete my Facebook and Twitter accounts and have not returned. I have purposefully avoided any news sites. I used to trick myself into believing that I was just staying informed, but if I was so informed then how the hell did I not see Tuesday night coming? I thought I had done a good job of curating my feed to generally unbiased outlets, but nobody still on Twitter is unbiased in any way. So I decided to get my life back - and you would not believe how much better everything has gotten. No doom scrolling. No "somebody should do something!!!" pleas from the very people capable of doing something. I periodically check in here to get updates (quite the Cabinet being developed!) because I can't go full cold turkey, but that's really it. And you know what I've realized? We are not meant to know all of this. No regular citizen should know the name of the White House Press Secretary. None of us should care about some new Government office being developed by the stupidest billionaire to ever exist. Nobody outside of congress needs to have any insight to the election process of the Senate majority leader. And the bigger realization: this is how most of America already lives. Nobody normal knows who fucking Matt Gaetz is. Hell, most of them don't know what an Attorney General even does. So what is to be gained by endlessly scrolling news about that appointment? He might one day enact policies that negatively impact our lives, but until then there is absolutely. fucking. nothing that we can do - so stop caring. No matter how many facts you gather on how this is a bad thing, 1) anyone who can do something about it will not listen to you and 2) anyone who will listen is not capable of enacting change. Treat politics like hurricane coverage: do your best to protect your family from the one headed directly your way, but don't let every possible tropical disturbance dominate your life. Yes our lives will likely be impacted by the choices these stupid people ultimately make, but unless you are actively planning to run for office, there's no point to worrying about any of this. Enjoy your life, keep your shit together, and hold out hope that he fucks things up enough for the unplugged folks to feel the vibes of necessary change. But until then it's time to focus on the things that really matter, like beating the fuck out of Arkansas tomorrow.
