Listen, tell your mother fucking kid that anything within 45 yards is a gimme and get him to improve his range a ton. Beat him if you have to. We are all counting on you to make him the next Justin Tucker.24 points

They committed more than they currently have in NIL for the 2025 class as some sort of notion putting on a happy face. Then the rumblings of cracks in the facade started with possible transfers ahead of the bowl game and Byrne starts publicly begging for money. They’re not in a good spot, clearly, so they’ve begun pushing a narrative to anyone who will listen in the media that CFB is broken and politicians need to intervene to save it, or the conferences need to align and anoint Nick Saban as a benign and even-handed, highly paid commissioner.23 points

Kelly realizing after Michigan he is allowed to throw to the best receiver room in the country18 points

It's pretty funny how knee-jerky talking heads get in a week-to-week sport like football that is so matchup-dependent and never includes consistent play throughout what is now a 15-16-week season. How many times in a 16-game season is a team going to realistically play their 'A' game? Remember halfway through October when A&M beat Missouri, Mississippi State, and LSU in a row? Suddenly, no one remembered they had beaten Bowling Green by 6 points less than a month earlier, and they were being hyped up as the best team in Texas. Ohio State is a good team. They also lost to a Michigan team who could barely throw a forward pass a month ago and had to squeak out a 4-point win against Nebraska at home. Tennessee was one of the most overrated teams in the country and the Oregon defense has gotten pantsed against most offenses with a pulse. Styles make fights.18 points

Does it bother anybody else that between this and the targeting calls in our game, that it seems that nobody understands the rules of the fucking game? I mean, even people whose jobs it is to know the rules don't know the rules. The supposed "rules experts" on ESPN are constantly getting shit wrong. Kirby is here citing the SEC head of officiating rather than the actual rules, which implies that he hasn't read the fucking rulebook. He's just taking someone else's word on what the rulebook says. Hey Kirby--how about you tell me what the actual fucking rule is, you dolt.16 points

. . . and the beauty of it all is that the vast majority of Texas fans could not give two shits if they root for us. Embrace the hate. Conference loyalty is the dumbest thing in college sports, I want every one of them to lose and lose often.16 points

I thought the same thing but watching the replay. He grabs the ball and falls forward. But also there was 5 defenders converging on him and was going to destroy him. The best outcome was for him to go down and take the safety16 points

It’s always fun when they get so unhinged that they forget that Texas … you know … actually played Texas A&M. Never mind that, let’s do the transitive property thing.15 points

Forget about the blue blood talk for a minute... this final four is the Haters Ball. Who is more despised in college football than Ohio State, Notre Dame, Penn State and Texas? Maybe Bama but it's not the same since Saban bolted.15 points

"""Insurance""" should get fucking bent and we should just get healthcare without rent seeking middlemen. It's wild how much the general public is scared of the government snooping on them, but completely nonplused by a for profit company harvesting their data and exploiting their family for profit.15 points

The rule says you can't sub "more than 11 players." So would that rule only apply to aggy? Most teams only use 11.14 points

Poor aggy! They tucked their tail and ran off to the SEC. This became their identity. Any discussions with aggy fans, one of their main bulletpoints was that they play in the SECSECSEC and no way could the Tsips handle this top to bottom tough conference. Even though aggy never even won their division in their 13 seasons there, they touted the SEC pride. Even though every other fanbase sees them as the inbred outcasts they are. No one respects them. They thought they were safe from daddy forever, Once it was announced daddy was coming home, they brushed it off but deep down, I know they were a little nervous. But they truly believed no way Texas could compete this fast. We did in one single season what aggy never could, make the SEC champ game. We also went into Pyle Field and beat them, just like 2011. And what was once touted as a grueling week in week out schedule of the SEC grind, now all of a sudden Texas has a soft schedule. I thought every game was tough in the SEC? Funny how that changes. Texas beat quite a few teams that went onto beat other good SEC teams. Vandy beat Bama. Florida beat Ole Miss. Michigan beat Bama and Ohio St. Arkansas beat Tennessee. OU dominated Bama. See how this works? The grind only applies to other teams but with Texas, it's now a soft schedule. While we didn't win the SEC itself, we came in right away and exerted our place in this hillbilly conference. And are the last ones left in the playoffs. Not one single other SEC team even won a single game. Now, aggy wants no more SEC pride because Texas is apart of it and doing only what they could dream of.14 points

So we have a whole week to fill in before we put a foot in Brutus' ass. So why not fill our down time arguing about what went wrong in the 3rd quarter. We will eventually address other parts of the game, but right now let's look at the 3rd quarter on offense. Sark comes out in 12 personnel. ASU basically has 8 men in the box and has a double linebacker blitz on. The worst thing we could do is run a slow developing, back to the field play action pass where our QB has to quickly diagnose where his hot man is while guys come untouched through the A-gap. So what does Sark call? A very slow developing back to the field play action pass. First thing you notice is Gunner Helm flashes open in the middle. Now I know that SOME of you guys are going to say I am making an excuse for Quinn when I say this but Helm has to sit his route down. By continuing across the formation your QB is going to have to look to see who is in front of you which takes more time. If you sit down in the open zone he can comfortably let the ball go. Regardless, this is an example of bad Sark. Too many times you put your guy in bad positions and literally kill a drive on the first play with calls like this. This same play without the play action and Quinn probably sees Helm quicker and gets the ball out. On to second down. Texas vs Arizona State Football Jan 1 2025 Full Game Replay CFP-.mp413 points

Tenn and Oregon played primarily man coverage which is a disaster vs Ohio State. First, you can't win 1v1's with Ohio State's receivers. Secondly, you clean up the reads for Will Howard. You have to make him diagnose the coverage, throw into windows, and not give him a lot of time to do it. That's what Michigan did. That's what we need to do. Cut the head off the snake. On the other end we are going to get a lot of Cover 3 and quarters. If we don't know how to deal with by now Sark is an idiot. He's had as much practice as anyone.13 points

I’ve been across a number of 247 sites for cursory glances at threads mentioning Texas or Ohio State. Summary as follows: Desperately Need OSU To Crush Texas: -ATM, Oklahoma, Arizona State, Texas Tech, Missouri, Arkansas Want OSU To Win: -Bama, Georgia, LSU, Oregon, USC, Tennessee, Clemson, ?FSU? Bizarrely Attached To Some Notion of Conference Brethren: -South Carolina, Ole Miss, Miss State Need Texas To Win: -Michigan It is truly absurd how many of these fanbases think Ohio State is some friendly try-hard while Texas is a big bad meanie that doesn’t deserve to still be playing.13 points

Not having your starting QB in a playoff game and relying on a RS freshmen making his first career start greatly affected Georgia offensively. As bad as Beck has been this year he's still great at setting protections, going through progressions, etc.12 points
