I've been married for 20 years and have teen boys. I'm a middle manager in my career. I'm a black man. Nobody has listened to me about anything for 20+ years, if ever.43 points

He’s a volume recruiter that can land 5 stars as well as anyone. These people negging his coaching skills are also idiots. There isn’t another coach for that position that anyone here can confidently state would be an upgrade. Also, @Codaxx saying the RB “lacks star power” is fucking dumb. Baxter was a budding star and the number 1 RB recruit in the country. His loss was discussed nationally from the day it happened through the end of the year. Gibson was also highly rated and Wisner is now a known asset with anyone covering the sport or watching games. Just a fucking dumb take.24 points

Even though all of this appears bad, it's good. America needs to get back to more practical and simplified trading. America will be closer to being great again when our currency can become nothing but celebrity crypto, animal pelts and smooth stones. Smaller markets can also use bits of strings and feathers. But not colorful, gay feathers. Only earth toned and brownish hued feathers will be used by true alphas. Gay feathers? Straight to jail.18 points

Gabbard flew to Syria to meet with one of the world’s most revolting dictators and then did a media blitz to deny that he used chemical weapons on his own people. She excused and justified Vladimir Putin as late as 2022 She’s unqualified because she is a tool of hostile foreign powers and is an inveterate liar.15 points

After having time to cool and digest this, I think every member of the Adelson family should kill themselves. Especially that old broad.15 points

Canada has been about the best friend we have ever had. We've maintained an undefended border with them and haven't had real beef against each other in over 200 years but we just up a fucked it up for what? A little man's ego.13 points

Out of curiosity, GRUhorn, have you kept up with the number of times you've been banned or crowdsourced from this site? It's an honest question. A couple of years ago, I think it was about a dozen. What's it up to now, three dozen, maybe?13 points

My Dad was a civil engineering professor; specifically, steel and concrete structures. He was born in 1922 and raised in the Depression-era slums of St. Louis. His mom was an angel and his dad was an alcoholic bum -- they divorced when my Dad was 2 years old. Dad only saw him one more time. He (wisely) included the guy in his will, leaving him $1. Dad was a good athlete who sprinted for his HS track team and actually made it through the Olympic weightlifiting trials to land a spot on the team. He turned that spot down to continue working towards his doctorate at Washington University. When he finished his Bachelor's degree he interrupted his studies to enlist in the Navy (WW2), and was sent to Annapolis for officer training. He suffered a near fatal asthma attack and was bounced 4F. Rather than going back to school, he took a job at Curtis Wright in St. Louis designing military wing structures. After the war, he finished his doctorate and started teaching. He also consulted on the design and construction of the St. Louis Arch, one of the locks on the Mississippi River, and the post mortem of the Hyatt Regency structural collapse in Kansas City. He was exceptionally kind with an impish sense of humor. Everyone loved him. He won "best professor" awards anually, and was a lay leader and teacher in the Presbyterian Church. He was incredibly organized and hard-working. My sister and I benefitted greatly from his and Mom's absolute devotion to us. We would sponsor foreign students at the university every year -- I grew up around people from India, Viet Nam, Iran, parts of Africa, you name it. It was an incredibly eye-opening and valuable experience for a WASPy white kid from a small town in rural Missouri. He was a lousy fisherman, a trait he passed on to me. He was an OK bowler, but I got better. He had no musical training but could peck out a melody on a piano and had a nice natural voice. He adored the St. Louis Cardinals, as did Mom. My Dad's mother did the books for Stan Musial's restaurant. (Mom grew up in a duplex next door to Dizzy Dean.) He developed glioblastoma multiforme (brain cancer) at 86 years old and passed within 6 months. I miss him every day.12 points

Musk was not elected, and he wasn’t appointed. DOGE isn’t a real department, and government officials, who follow the law to stand in their way, are removed from office and escorted from buildings by sheriffs.10 points

The first and foremost point about her is that she's wholely unqualified to be DNI. Serving in Congress and the Army doesn't all of sudden make one capable of of being in charge of all U.S intelligence. Her military service has not been in intelligence but rather public affairs. This makes her qualifed to the White House press spokeswoman. Not DNI. That should be a full stop right there. She's not qualified. Now take her comments on a whole host of things and she's even less so. But Ana can go right on with his King Contrarian bullshit and fuck himself.10 points

Honestly, this is fucking sickening, it's puke worthy. These fucking new owners have no fucking clue what they are doing. They are gutting this franchise and this city. They do not give a god damn about this city. And they sure as fuck do not give a god damn about winning. Fuck every fucking member of that family.10 points
