(Fuck, fuckity fuck - was almost done, when the editor crashed. Had to redo the whole thing ... so be sure to read the damn thing twice!) All, 247/Tom Loy published an update on the recruitment of every prospect in the new Top 247. (Yep, all 247 of them ... ) This list may be an interesting reference for a point in time, to revisit. I've divvied the list up into the following sections: - Texas is the favorite - Texas specifically called out - Texas is a contender - The full list (spoilered, at the end) Have fun. (Also - this comment cracked me up - "#8. LB Xavier Griffin (USC commit): Everyone, myself included, felt as though this would be the typical early USC commit from Georgia who ends up elsewhere. " Lulz.) Texas is the favorite Texas specifically called out ("Don't sleep on ... ") Texas is a contender The full list Football recruiting intel on each 2026 Top247 prospect: What we're hearing on every player in updated rankings Here's the latest college football recruiting intel on every player ranked in Wednesday's 2026 Top247 update. Six months ago, I completely would have agreed with your take. You're entirely correct that social-media retribution often is disproportionate to the crime. Today, however, I'm perfectly happy about what's happening to her. She's a wretched human being. She's being harmed because she harmed someone else. She'd harm you, too, if you ever came into contact with her because she loves "lib tears." With her compatriots, she is actively trying to destroy my country. Fuck her--I hope her life becomes so intolerable that she puts a bullet in her brain. Bonus points if she murders her husband on the way out, taking two Trump votes off the rolls.21 points

That bitch wanted to deport a disabled man working two jobs to feed his family because, I guess, the Mexican restaurant cost too much. And then you see some clients posting who said during their home walk-through she told them βdonβt be eating your neighborβs pets yuck yuckβ. She is a complete piece of shit and human scum. One of the very few things that will keep similar assholes from displaying the racism that they so deeply want to express is the fact that the harsh consequences of that may be greater than the joy of expressing their racism. The harsher the lesson the more widespread that education will be seen by other like-minded racists. NEVER advocate that a person who fucks around should be excused from the finding out part. The level of finding out should be proportionate to the fucking around in a perfect world, but that is not how consequences work. Which is one of the major reasons why people should avoid taking action on things that can lead to far greater negative consequences than the little positive they got out of the fucking around action. I personally think that her fucking around should have some serious consequences that exceed simply public scorn and being fired from a job that she probably wasnβt so good at anyway. Back in the day, she might have been put in stocks at the public square - or tar and feathered and ridden out of town on a rail if the public had a problem with her. I think sheβs fortunate just to get social media condemnation. The fact that she thinks that conduct was a wise idea when she works for an employer who values diversity and has specific programs to empower Latinas should have given her a minor clue how to act if she wanted to keep her job. If she loses her job and becomes homeless after violating a core cultural value of her employer, that is on her. I donβt have a single drop of sympathy for her. Because if it was within her power to get that disabled Hispanic person deported at that instant, she wouldβve had no qualms doing so.20 points

As a reminder given his moralizing here now, the only commentary Ana had on the Bucha massacre on this board was to criticize other posters for being upset about it. Brisket can be dramatic, but he's not wrong. First, none of our allies are actually allies anymore, so they shouldn't be sharing intelligence with us. Second, we're clearly going to need to touch the stove for a long damned time to re-learn the lessons of the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. A 17th century state centered on an impulsive and degenerating monarch is not any way to run a modern society and is going to result in much more death and much greater harm than any one terrorist could ever conceive of inflicting on America. We're going to be wishing for a sclerotic, gridlocked legislature backstopped by a professional administrative state. Well, all of us except for Ana, who wants a return of the inquisition for reasons that are well beyond my ability to understand.20 points

I think they would take Cooper above Crowell, but if they could get Crowell and Edwards right now, theyβd probably do it and be finished with it. Crowell has a lot more prima donna in him than the other two. Same same. Far and away, $9.95ers rank the OL the worst out of all positions. I think it is due to two reasons: 1) A lot of $9.95ers are clueless as to what theyβre doing. The team site guys are often just laughable. Does anyone here think Geoff Ketchum has a clue about the football trenches? I mean, sure, heβs always been a rotund glutton, but the guy stopped playing organized football in junior high. He got the OB job by interning for Bobby Burton and being in the right place at the right time. Thatβs true over and over for many of the team site mods and analysts. 2) OL evaluation is truly benefitted by seeing guys in person. Most of the $9.95 crowd see a guy in person once or twice at a camp, if that recruit is lucky enough and interested enough to attend one. Few of them get out on the road and watch them in drills at their school or at a local game. Few get to know coaches from repeat appearances to catch-up, which is when the best of the best get to pick up nuance around the character of a recruit, potential distractions due to family, gangs or pussy, etc. And no, contrary to the stooge you quoted, HS coaches donβt just randomly hand out full film of a player. One other thing to keep in mind about Gerry and Bobby - they actually talk to a ton of college coaches and analysts. Theyβve both been doing this for decades. If Gerryβs really high on a guy at OL, DL, TE, or LB, you can mix into your thinking about that player that, hey, Texas might really like this guy too. Iβm not saying that means βtrust the coachesβ, but itβs a data point. If you think Banks and Flood know what theyβre doing, thatβs a good way to discern for yourself that maybe the national rankings on a player arenβt worth the ass sweat seeping into Ketchumβs couch on a daily basis.16 points

Here is my take on it- Russia and China have never truly been partners. Their historical relationship is competitive, not cooperative. Covertly supporting Moscowβs war effort (while not giving them enough to achieve an actual battlefield victory) was a strategic play to counter US influence. Now that it has become clear that the US is hell-bent on self-immolating, the biggest victory they could achieve would be strengthening their economic and political ties with Europe. If they can present themselves as a stable and sane partner, thereβs a lot of money and influence to be gained.15 points

Yeah, it's a great thing my disabled daughter receives federal financial assistance to help her and others like her in going to a college 2,000 miles away that happens to be private with a $40k per year tuition and which is the absolutely only school in the entire fucking country that offers instruction for people like her in her chosen field. At the moment, I'm not sure if that assistance program will be transferred and offered through some other federal agency so she can wrap up one more year to get her degree, but just in case any Trump-supporting lurkers are reading this, go to hell.15 points

Another dipshit found out. https://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/local/laid-off-federal-worker-trump-voter-pennsylvania/4124901/?_osource=pa_npd_loc_nat_nbcn_gennbcnews "I loved doing that job. I loved helping people out and being told that you canβt go to work anymore because you havenβt been there for a year is just kind of horrible. The taxpayer advocate service is already under manned as it is. The case advocates are averaging over 120 cases per person and you're letting everybody go, how does that help the taxpayer?" Smith asked. When asked by NBC10 political reporter Lauren Mayk if he supported Trump in the last election, Smith hesitated with his answer before ultimately saying that he did. "Honestly, uh, yeah, I did," Smith said. "I thought, you know, he would be someone that would, you know, cause he talked a lot about taking care of the military, taking care of the veterans, taking care of the people that put him in office and it just hasn't happened so if I could go back in time I would have voted for Vice President Harris in a heartbeat."12 points

Shit, let's have a less nuanced take on dictators and fascists. Even if there were such a thing as a "benign dictator," and that benign dictator was Trump, and he was doing this stuff in a more measured fashion, this is still horrific. The problem with benign dictators is, they're dictators. They don't stay benign very often and it's very difficult to strip them of their powers once they abuse them, and abuse them they will. It doesn't take a great student of history to know this. It's basically why all monarchies have failed over the last 300 years. It's why we exist. For all the talk of how shitty our democracy is, it's still better than all the rest, except maybe a parliamentary system for elections.10 points
