  1. I've updated the depth chart spreadsheet with the 2025 Spring roster. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1TzoBTIvCXfZIk7Sz3C9txMg0yPvrXyVM/edit?gid=1658728281#gid=1658728281 We can all rejoice that Max Merril is no longer on the roster (@closetojumping) The roster is at 81, so plenty of room for more transfers.

  3. The defense will remain one of, if not the best in the nation. The O will probably score more points. So if that's a transition year, sign me up.

  4. Agreed, maybe one or two people get demoted or fired, and the sycophants will praise Trump for his level-headed, firm decision making while making the county great again and that will be that for the rubes. There will be another controversy next week, and the week after, and two more the next week, and this shit gets buried in a haze of comical buffoonery. This has been the MO for Trump since 2016, and it wont change. The only way to prevent this was last November, now there is no defense. The majority of this fucking country chose this shitshow. Are the libs angry? Yes, well then carry on. There should be outrage about essentially kidnapping people and throwing them out of the country because they took part in protests that said bad things about Isreal. Doesnt matter cause the ultrarich will be better off. There should be outrage about culling tens of thousands of federal jobs with little analysis of what repercussion's will arise. Doesnt matter cause the ultrarich will be better off. There should be outrage about letting the richest man in the world (not an elected official) bury deep into every federal system. Doesnt matter cause the ultrarich will be better off. There should be outrage about rolling back countless regulations established to protect us from corporations fucking us in the ass. Doesnt matter cause the ultrarich will be better off. There should be outrage about the president threatening to invade our allies Canada and Denmark. Doesnt matter cause the ultrarich will be better off. The hits will keep coming and with nobody in a position to put a fucking stop to it, we'll just keep crying about it online. And a few months from now we'll all be outraged over the leaked sex video of putin fucking trump in the ass, while the messaging will be " Did you see Trump power bottom in that video? I gotta say, Ive never seen a guy power bottom like that. A lot of people are saying thats the greatest power-bottoming ever by a president, perhaps even greater than Lincoln or Washington. To commemorate this epic and patriotic ass hammering, the US treasury has just launched our new crypto coin Powerbottom ($PBTM). Act now and receive a decorative plate set with Trumps ballsack highlighted in 24k gold.

  7. Anyone hear Andy Bashear on Pod Save America? It's like everyone who will be running for potus in 2028 is fighting to see who can do the most normalizing. "Well, I just don't think that Trump's policies will be good for the people of Kentucky....." Like he's trying to politely criticize a President Romney administration or something. I just don't get it. Five alarm fire here guys.

  8. Good update here from Gerry: Football recruiting notes OnTexasFootball delivers a few football recruiting notes to go with your morning brew. Roseborough back on campus ... Clearwater (Fla.) High 4-star++ OT Samuel Roseborough was back on campus a few days ago, marking his second visit of the spring with another to come. Of course, his mom now lives and works in Austin, so the 6-foot-5, 275-pounder is around campus more than most prospects. OTF can report that Roseborough rated recent visits to Michigan and Texas A&M behind Texas. OTF believes the Horns hold a decent lead right now. OTF continues to believe the Longhorns lead for Roseborough, 4-star+ IOL Toa Katoa (Euless, Texas/Trinity) and 4-star+ IOL Nicolas Robertson (Klein, Texas/High). And the Longhorns are at least a 50-50 shot with 5-star OT John Turntine III (Fort Worth, Texas/North Crowley), 4-star++ OT Felix Ojo (Mansfield, Texas/Lake Ridge) and 4-star+ OT/IOL Sam Utu (Orange, Calif./Lutheran). Two defensive lineman to know ... IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) via East Northport, N.Y. 4-star defensive lineman Preston Carey has real interest in Texas. OTF expects the 6-foot-4, 310-pounder to make an unofficial visit in April. Depending on that visit, a June OV is likely/possible. The Texas staff likes Carey over the ball. He's seen as a more athletic version of Bill Norton. As OTF has mentioned, 4-star+ defensive lineman Damari Simeon (Richland, N.J./St. Augustine) will visit April 12. Texas is expected to make a big push so long as Simeon is close to the listed 6-foot-3 and 270-275 pounds. Ohio State, Penn State, Tennessee, Auburn, North Carolina and Oklahoma are considered the main competition early on. In case anyone missed this with the wild day on the Forty Acres ... Marietta (Ga.) Kell 2026 4-star+ Brayden Rouse tells OnTexasFootball he is making an unofficial visit to Texas April 17. Rouse, 6-3 and 210-pounds, was offered by Johnny Nansen January 29. The Peach State rangy LB with closing speed has June OV’s scheduled to Michigan June 6-8, Georgia June 13-15 and Tennessee June 20-22. Texas will be working to replace on of the June visit dates with the first ever visit to Texas next month.

  11. Bruh. The sitting President of the United States told lie after baseless lie for months about dead voters and conspiracies, wasted the courts' times with meritless bullshit, slandering anyone and everyone against him, ultimately culminating in winding up his fanatical base enough to attempt an insurrection of our government. Oh, and he had documents of the highest classification stuffed in boxes in his shitter. He's now our current President, and those traitors have been pardoned. By comparison, this is a quaint, funny little side story about hilarious incompetence for the late night shows. Not to go all brisket, but nothing matters anymore. Nothing.

  12. I'm old enough to remember a time when a previous Republican administration intentionally leaked the name of a CIA operative for political purposes aimed at smearing her husband who was voicing public criticisms of said administration's lies about Iraqi WMD. The object lesson here is older than me. Republican leaders are inherently untrustworthy and don't give a flying fuck about anything that gets in the way of their ability to win power and exercise it however they see fit.

  13. Ultimately? Nah, probably not, at least not to the extent that it should. That doesn't mean it won't be a fun ride. The group "American Oversight" has already sued the administration over this. And the case has been assigned to a Judge. That judge? In true comedic fashion, we now have a situation in which the government will be arguing that this wasn't secret, to the exact same guy who they have dropped the State Secrets Privilege on for asking about publicly available flight data in the Alien Enemies lawsuit. You can't make this shit up.

  15. Goldberg is evil. He's a registered Democrat who hates Trump. His wife worked for Hillary Clinton. Think of this next time you bring up "Democratic messaging." The hate engine has been pushing this for years: all Dems hate America. Trump has been regularly calling out "never-Trumpers" as though that totally discredits them. Trump won the last election on these slanders. They're truth for a huge fraction of the electorate. If they can't see the POS as the unabashed POS that he acts like all the time, then they aren't going to give a fair eye to anyone else. For the hate engine/cult anybody on the other side is, by definition, evil. Messaging will not overcome that. Failure of a GOP administration will not overcome that; they'll just say that they got the wrong GOPs and at least they aren't Dems. Throw in the psuedo-Christian jihad and you've got yourself a really tightly packed dingleberry determined to remain so. Old politics is completely dead.

Every team in the country would trade for our starting QB. I don't believe there is another program better positioned heading into 2025.

  26. Back in grad school, I was collaborating with a post doc at a&m and had to drive to their campus in a UT vehicle. One of those white trucks with orange UT decals on it that you see all over campus. As I drove through their campus, I got whooped at, horns down-ed, or gigged hundreds of times. A post doc fresh off the boat from India was with me. He was like what is going on? I just shrugged and said I can't explain it and you wouldn't understand anyway, best you can do is sit back and laugh at them.

  28. I attended an “In Conversation” event last Friday evening that featured Jasmine Crockett. She talked at length about her bleached blonde comment that went viral and how she chooses her words with forethought. Jasmine said he tries to always to follow the rules even as she pushes boundaries. She had her explanation for her hot wheels comment already prepared before she made it. Since congresspersons can no longer call Trump a felon on the floor, Jasmine says she has had to be inventive. She now routinely asks if Trump’s nominees have “34 felonies.” The event I attended was to give Jasmine’s supporters insight to her as person. I left more impressed with her grit, smarts and the fact that she doesn’t take herself too seriously.
