  2. Lost in a lot of this is that the press conference was named Make America Wealthy Again. The fucking arrogance of the richest nation in the history of the world announcing tariffs against poor third world countries because we want to be wealthy again. As if to say we weren’t rich until now and those evil countries were holding us down, but now we have a plan to break free of their grasp and become prosperous. The entire world should hate us.

  5. This is what I've been saying over and over. Dems need to hang this shit on Congressional R's. Scream it from the mountain tops. DOTarD is fucking you over, hard. And Congress is letting him do it. Introduce bills to stop this shit. They won't pass, but it might help to get the message out there.

  7. You fuckwads voted for this, and you knew it! Y'all voted for lies quaintly called "false claims" by the lily-livered mass media. Trump constantly lies. Trump constantly touted tariffs as trade policy. You hate negroes and are terrified of "falsely claimed" caravans racing to your beloved Eisenhower America from parts south. You need to believe that drag shows and homosexual teachers are after your kids. You have to believe these things because those people are all better than you. They're humans and not pathetic things. Y'all lie all the time, too, to yourselves about who you are and why you do things. You're rotten to the core just like the greatness you want for this nation. Only bad things should happen to you. I'd say get measles, but you'd walk around infecting everybody while you denied you were sick. Believe me, you're sick.

  8. Jesus, what a fucking moron. He thinks "our trade deficits could have been ironed out with a phone call." No. Trade deficits are the natural reaction to one country's economy being stronger than another. We have trade deficits because we have more money to spend on stupid shit than people in other countries and their workers are more willing to do harder work for lower pay. The only way we are going to "iron it out" is by destroying wealth for the average American consumer/worker, which is exactly what Trump is doing. That's what the moron voted for.

  15. We will have to suffer to fix it. And I dont mean a 2 month pandemic sell off and job loss, or even a 2007-2009 recession. We will need to suffer for a decade or more to have real change. For people to understand. Ive said it before, Im beginning to realize human beings as a whole, are not smart enough to continue a democracy. Eventually they will destroy it and the pieces will have to be picked up again. Too much variation in intelligence and for lack of a better term, good and evil thoughts and motivations. Smart evil/greedy people are the worst....and the rest enable them due to what I have stated previously. Its who we are as human beings. Too much variation. If IQs were in the range of say 110-125 and the range of emotions/drives we felt were narrower, I think democracy could work indefinitely. But not right now. The math doesn't work over centuries, or even decades.

  22. And it's not like when a Democrat comes back into office everything will be OK long term. The US has already shown they will elect someone like trump, decidedly this time, and will do it again in the future. No one can ever say this will never happen again. We are fucked. We are stupid. We did it to ourselves and deserve every bit of pain we will incur.

  23. Kid Rock will fix this. But seriously, this is catastrophic because even if Trump pulls a 180 today, he’s already poisoned the well of trust beyond repair… the credible threat of reinstating the tariffs at any time will always be on the table. By the same token, let’s say these stupid protectionist tariffs work beyond our wildest dreams and American manufacturing comes storming back (it will not but let’s say it does)… then the new manufacturing sector is completely dependent on tariff protectionism, which there is no guarantee the tariffs will remain in perpetuity. Increased uncertainty and volatility is the most likely outcome… which is precisely why tariffs do not work in the first place. Great job MAGA.

Elko (1 ranked win, 1 hot dog away from a mild cardial infarction), Bucky (world famous samford buckyball) and earley (has a hat with his name on it) have been in Aggieland a combined 5 years and 5 minutes. Next come the championships.

  25. Yeah.....the layers of impact here are staggering, truly. Just some fascinating ones on a personal level: 1) My son is the only American in a class on Transatlantic Foreign Relations at a university in Germany right now. He relates that damned near every class, as they are discussing the latest globally devastating misstep by the US, the class turns to him and says "so....what do you think?" He tries to explain the American perspective, but so many times, he just ends with "I've got nothing. It's just so stupid." At least his classmates seem kind and sympathetic. 2) And yes, both kids have had multiple conversations where they have to explain that half of America is victims in this whole deal, as big or bigger victims than folks in the rest of the world. 3) On a selfish personal level, I'm kind of pissed about what this is likely to do with our plans for summer 2026, when the World Cup is coming to Texas (Dallas and Houston). We were already talking with various groups of friends overseas about coming in for that. We'd all get together, barbecues, the beach, attend matches, just have a great gathering. Now....I'm more and more convinced that they aren't interested in supporting the US economy in any way, they aren't interested in the risks of being randomly abused/detained by our CBP/immigration system...they are just bunkering, and reaching the "yeah, we love y'all, Brisket family....but we're not willing to travel to the US right now" point. And I can't fucking blame them. We are becoming a pariah state, and we fucking deserve it. All of it. And more.

  29. I’ll never understand why these rubes will never get that they’re the fucking problem, the fucking weirdos with fruity milkmen for cheerleaders and absolute overriding obsession with a single rival. There is no other reason for their century of failure. All the money needed to compete at any level and lack fucking shit in the trophy cabinet. I’m depressed because OKST can’t compete in the new landscape. We have some BMDs still but not nearly the amount of schools with three times the enrollment and number of living alumni and even if Boone was still alive making money I doubt he’d want to be dishing out $10-$20M for one year mercenary payments. Meanwhile aggy has the funds and are still utterly pathetic. Get rid of the fake army and fake honor code nonsense. Just be fucking normal and they’re hall of whatever might be something less than completely empty.

  31. Well school board fundraiser was a huge success. Room was pretty full, at least one even cried privately having a chance to give and be in a room of only likeminded folks. We have raised enough to surpass 15% of the campaign’s entire total for this election cycle - from one event. My boys were golf cart chauffeurs which gave a touch of bougie high class, plus I made them wear nice polos and I trained them on how to make folks feel VIP. Kids knocked it out of the park. Open (full) bar with speciality margaritas and old fashions were a hit. Food was pretty darn good. music was a nice touch, pool deck doors opened as the evening cooled off. I got to give a quick little speech, made some folks laugh and in the end the friend that was down and out who didn’t believe we normies live out here felt empowered and invigorated. the formula is tried and true - we build community, appreciate the beauty in our lives and take that recharge and do something to move the needle. We may not win the war but we will know we did our part to fight back. my conscious is clear this cycle. God I hope they win.
