Road Trip - Athens (UGA)
I did not see a thread, so I thought I would start one. Who all is going to make the trip to Athens in a couple of weeks? My current plan is to attend both the UGA game and the Falcons-Panthers game the next day (go Bijan!). I'm thinking I will try to hit up the College Football HOF on Monday before I leave town. Anyone with any great ideas/suggestions? I have been to Atlanta for work a few times, but pretty much just the downtown/Georgia Tech area. Also - The guys I was going to go with ended up bailing recently, but I am going anyway, so if any Texas fan(s) are interested in meeting up for either game, I would love to attend with some friendly faces. I generally wait until the day of/day before the game to get tickets, as they almost always go down as you get closer to game time, but I am not wedded to that strategy.

Checking in on recruiting for the first time in a few days...- Game Week 8: Texas at MSST
Is the thought that the offense cost us the semifinal game in 2023 against Washington? I know they did not score on the last drive, but the rest of the game seems to be more on the defense, no?- Texas Football 2025 - Seven Win Steve Rides Again

Having two locations, with the furthest east being Fort Worth is certainly a choice. Basically any team that is a top six seed in that projection except for UCLA and USC (who is listed as a five seed) is going to want to be in Fort Worth.- Texas Recruiting Notes 2027: I remember watching his dad play
I'm pretty sure the AAU changed the way they calculate R&D expenditures by removing most agricultural research because it is not competitively funded. This change led Nebraska to be kicked out, and Iowa State (and possibly Syracuse) to leave voluntarily before risking being kicked out.- Could this be the craziest coaching carousel of all time?
James Franklin has played 30 games against top 10 teams, and 25 of them have come as the head coach at Penn State. The original numbers BO&W did not include his 0-5 record while at Vanderbilt.- Could this be the craziest coaching carousel of all time?
Franklin is 4-26 against top 10 teams in his career.- Texas Beach Volleyball!

Good point. If we do not start to focus, we are in danger of losing the bye week.- SEC Catch-all Thread
I mean, Pavia is only playing now because the NCAA lost (at least temporarily) an eligibility case involving the exact same question (i.e., whether the NCAA can prohibit players who played four years of football total in NCAA + junior college).- Left Behind: A Quick Dose Of Post Big 12 Reality

It's an interesting choice. At this point, I think you have to consider what happens to the Virginia Tech job if/when FSU, Clemson, UNC, and UVA leave. Maybe there is enough time to build VaTech up high enough where they could be considered for the SEC/Big Ten, but if the ACC starts to fall apart in the next few years, that seems unlikely.- A&M at ND

They let them punt instead of kick-off after a TD? What a weird thing to get wrong.- Left Behind: A Quick Dose Of Post Big 12 Reality
They were opposed to schools having differing numbers of protected rivalries based on whether they have rivals in the Big 12, so they decided to give teams different numbers of protected rivalries based on whether they have another in-state team in the Big 12.- All things going to Columbus for season opener
On my morning flight from DC, the flight attendant announced: “Welcome all UT Longhorn fans and the one guy wearing an Ohio State jersey to our American Airlines flight to Columbus.” And then that guy started an O-H-I-O chant. The Columbus airport is selling Texas shirts and hats, so they’re expecting a decent contingent.- NIL Recruiting News Megathread
Do schools not normally pay for student athlete's means "for the duration of their respective athletic seasons"? I remember when I was at UT back in the day there would sometimes be a line of athletes at chipotle and they would all order and then someone would pay the whole bill. Is this a benefit for the athletes or the schools? - Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen
