  1. All of the Big Noon Kickoff People pick tOSU and Michigan to both make the CFP except for Urban Meyer, who picks both Oregon and Washington instead...
  2. I mean, the CFP website states criteria they supposedly consider (https://collegefootballplayoff.com/sports/2016/9/30/overview)
  3. Even that is debatable. Is beating UGA (12-1), Ole Miss (10-2), LSU (9-3), and Tennessee (8-4), A&M (6-6), Arkansas, Kentucky, Auburn, Miss State really much better than beating Bama (12-1), KState (9-3), OU (10-2)/OSU (9-3), Kansas (8-4), ISU (6-6), Tech, TCU, Houston, BYU this year? I don't see how that is close to enough of a difference to outweigh a 10 point road win head-to-head.
  4. In prior seasons, it seems like the committee does a do-over in the final ranking and is not afraid to reassess where teams were prior to that week. Who knows what they do this year, but I do not think it is out of the question that they would reassess Oregon vs. Texas after the championship games.
  5. If true, this would suggest Riley is not planning on leaving right now:
  6. This is the dummest possible way to do it, so I’m sure the Big 12 will do it that way.
  7. But Tech doesn’t play OU or OSU, so they are definitely not a “common opponent”.
  8. Ok. So if Texas loses, OU wins, OSU wins, and KSU loses: There is a three way tie for first with Texas, OSU, and OU. The first tiebreaker doesn’t do anything, because no team beat all of the others. So we look for the next highest placed common opponent(s). You are supposed to treat them a group if tied, but do you include teams that one of the teams didn’t play, like WVU if they win? That is not clear to me. If this website is accurate, Texas is in no matter what happens in the other three games in this scenario. http://bball.notnothing.net/big12.php?sport=fb
  9. My back of the envelope math: 1 Texas wins - in 2 Texas loses and OU loses - in 3 Texas loses, OU wins, KSU loses, OSU loses - in 4 All the other possibilities will take a while to think through
  10. So who’s going to walk through all the possibilities?
  11. Is their OL 5 yards downfield on every pass?
  12. The end of the block made it look worse because the defender gave up and turned his back to Crawford.

    9-1

I don’t disagree that they suck, but so does BC and they almost beat FSU.
  14. I’m with others that think this means he turned them down / made it clear he’s not interested. The fact that he said Lane wants the job makes it pretty clear that the other two who are not candidates did not want the job.
  15. My guess is TCU joins the Big 12 in beach volleyball now that it will be sponsored (because they are adding Utah, ASU, and Arizona). As for rowing, four of the eight teams (assuming UCF is joining the Big 12 for rowing) that compete in the Big 12 for rowing will be in the SEC next year, so I suppose they will continue to play in the Big 12.
  16. I guess this will be too late for us. Any chance we end up playing beach volleyball in our older conference?
  17. That was my thought. Really the only way to win would have been for them to slow him down enough to run a couple of seconds off the clock and then tackle him.
  18. Penn State would get in as of now, but it’s close and could change. Hilariously, it would hinge on things like who wins the Purdue Northwestern game.
