  1. My back of the envelope math: 1 Texas wins - in 2 Texas loses and OU loses - in 3 Texas loses, OU wins, KSU loses, OSU loses - in 4 All the other possibilities will take a while to think through
  2. So who’s going to walk through all the possibilities?
  3. Is their OL 5 yards downfield on every pass?
  4. The end of the block made it look worse because the defender gave up and turned his back to Crawford.
  5. Brian Kelly did the same thing for the money.

    9-1

I don’t disagree that they suck, but so does BC and they almost beat FSU.
  7. I’m with others that think this means he turned them down / made it clear he’s not interested. The fact that he said Lane wants the job makes it pretty clear that the other two who are not candidates did not want the job.
  8. My guess is TCU joins the Big 12 in beach volleyball now that it will be sponsored (because they are adding Utah, ASU, and Arizona). As for rowing, four of the eight teams (assuming UCF is joining the Big 12 for rowing) that compete in the Big 12 for rowing will be in the SEC next year, so I suppose they will continue to play in the Big 12.
  9. I guess this will be too late for us. Any chance we end up playing beach volleyball in our older conference?
  10. That was my thought. Really the only way to win would have been for them to slow him down enough to run a couple of seconds off the clock and then tackle him.
  11. Penn State would get in as of now, but it’s close and could change. Hilariously, it would hinge on things like who wins the Purdue Northwestern game.
  12. There is a 0% chance that we throw the ball less than 13 times in this game or any other game, no matter who the QB is.
  13. Terrible grammar aside, it appears that only applies if all of the teams have played each other. Since Texas and OSU did not play, I think it moves to the next common opponent.
  14. Having their official account's post about a game shut down by the copyright owner is peak Big 12.
  15. I don’t really remember what happened in 1994 when the SEC split into divisions, but Saban has certainly been complaining about possibly having to play Tennessee, Auburn, and LSU every year going forward.
  16. I cannot imagine CU would be particularly enamored by this arrangement, not being in a pod with either their Pac 12 brethren near California or any of the Texas schools, but if you are doing pods, it's hard to break up the Utah and Arizona schools.
  17. I don’t necessarily agree, but this made me laugh.
  18. Looks like the first round will be at home. https://texassports.com/news/2023/10/29/big-12-conference-soccer-championship-location-alteration.aspx
  19. My understanding is that FSU would have to sue the ACC to get their rights back, not the other way around, which is why I do not think things like sovereign immunity would play much of a role here. I suppose an alternative would be FSU to just not worry about getting their rights back and trying to broadcast their rights separately. I cannot imagine FOX or any other major network wants to get into the business of broadcasting games whose rights belong to anyone else - as then it would likely lead to ESPN/FOX suing each other.
