  1. It's more like saying Bon Jovi's band minus Bon Jovi has fewer mouths to feed than the E Street Band without Springsteen.
  2. It's weird geographically. Every team west of the Mississippi (and all but one of those well west) and then one team in Orlando? Even the Big 12 doesn't have UCF as much on an island as that.
  3. The GOR was signed to get a better deal from Fox and ESPN. They wanted to avoid Texas, etc leaving during the contract.
  4. Lol at counting Texas as out of conference for OU.
  5. What? How on earth would that even work?
  6. FYI - says Fox is forcing them to stay.
  7. What? Why on earth would they play league games multiple times when adding teams? Am I missing something? EDIT: Just realized this is for basketball. It's still weird to cut down on the number of conference games, but it is not crazy.
  8. Didn't they just change the rule so that you can only transfer in certain windows? My guess is they would be transferring now if they were allowed to do so.
  9. The Pac 12 would take that trade any day.
  10. Not to get in the middle of this discussion, but 9-0 is by far the most common supreme court breakdown, at more than 35%.
  11. Given that the OU game will always be neutral, I would expect four home and four away every year if we go to 9 conference games.
  12. Except if you look at Florida's future schedules, they have home and homes scheduled with Utah, NC State, Cal, Arizona State, and Colorado (and a 2-1 with UCF) in the next few years. Maybe Kansas State is not at the level of those schools, but they probably should be.
  13. This year's cupcake week in November has: 1. 2 Georgia at 20 Kentucky 2. 22 Ole Miss at 16 Arkansas 3. 12 Florida at Vanderbilt
  14. And yet I had to buy a 3 pack in order to buy tickets to the Texas WVU game at least one year.
  15. We'll see, but I doubt USC is going to be willing to give up the Notre Dame game, even if they play a 10 game conference schedule.
  16. I think both USC and Notre Dame need that game and want it to continue. My point was only that I think the Big Ten has to try to entice them through money and additional rivalries with Michigan State/Purdue/etc. as opposed to trying to force their hand by threatening to take away the USC game and others, which are possibly more important to USC and the Big Ten than to Notre Dame (although I am not sure about that). My understanding is that there are a lot of longstanding issues between Notre Dame and the Big Ten and if the Big Ten overplays their hand, it will drive Notre Dame away.
  17. I actually think if the Big Ten forbid its teams from playing Notre Dame (which they are not likely to do), it would have the opposite effect. Notre Dame may eventually join the Big Ten, but I doubt it will be because the Big Ten threatened them. Since the ACC deal, Notre Dame has generally only played two Big Ten schools a year (including USC) with an occasional third Big Ten game.
  18. Is he suggesting that (1) he has sources saying different things or (2) Oregon and the Big Ten are having discussions, but the leaders of both organizations are not involved?
