  1. Is it just me or was the DE offsides on 1st and 3rd downs? Either that or he knows our snap count better than the OL.
  2. Obviously everything is fluid, but you have to think the SEC would have delayed their 2022 schedule if they thought Texas/OU were going to be announced as joining in 2022 anytime soon. Or maybe it is all just cover for the fact that Texas/OU are totally staying until 2025 until the minute they announce they're leaving early.
  3. I'm ready to test the theory that losing 3-4 games may help their recruiting pitch.
  4. Stewart forgoing the rest of his high school career to prepare for college.
  5. What? The Big 12 (or their media partners) would still have to sue Texas and try to obtain specific performance. It's not like the rights are sitting in the Big 12 offices and Texas would have to sue to get them back.
  6. I think only the ACC and Big 12 have GORs, right? The Big 12 schools would be leaving anyway if they could, so it seems like it would only affect the ACC.
  7. I think most state laws prevent the NIL deals from being dependent on performance - but I'm not sure if leaving school entirely would be similar.
  8. He said the Big 12 looking at potential expansion was a sham and that they were afraid of UH.
  9. I get that they didn't sign anything, but it's not like they didn't put anything in writing. https://bigten.org/news/2021/8/24/general-acc-big-ten-and-pac-12-announce-historic-alliance.aspx
  10. I'm not sure I understand why you wouldn't just move Alabama and Auburn over instead of Ole Miss and Miss State? It makes more geographic sense and both of the Alabama schools already have at least one big rivalry with teams in the East, whereas I am not aware of any rivalries that the Mississippi schools have with the East. I don't even think you would need cross-division rivalry games with that set-up, as it makes the two most important ones intra-division games. Plus, I think it evens out the divisions better, as you end up with Bama/UGA/UF on one side and Texas/OU/LSU on the other.
  11. I wonder how many people get Peacock premium.
  12. I can tell you that my neighborhood in Arlington has a lot more UVA license plate holders than any other school. That may not translate into TV eyeballs, especially when the team is not very good, but NoVa (at least close in) has a large collection of UVA alumni. It's obviously a small school compared to Texas or most Big Ten schools, but it's about the same size as VaTech and WVU.
  13. You don't see how playing your three year career in a zombie conference that won't really exist when you're gone in which everyone hates you and wants you to lose every game would be a negative? Before, we were recruiting to the Big 12, which is obviously not recruiting to the SEC, but is not a disaster. Now, at least for this class, we are recruiting to a zombie Big 12 that is collapsing and everyone on the internet is speculating that the refs and league will be trying to screw us at every turn over the next four years. That seems worse to me. Edit - To be clear, that is obviously not the only issue, but I can see how it would be a major negative for the 2022 class. Sure, maybe we're in the SEC next year, but why take the risk when you have options?
  14. Don't worry guys, he's working to find out more about this message board rumor!
  15. I think this means Nike over Adidas. It might mean something, or it might mean nothing.
  16. I think it's more like the conference "challenges" in basketball. If the Big 12 and Pac 12 agree to it, then each conference would get a few marquee games out of conference guaranteed to sell to the TV executives.
  17. I can see why kids would be hesitant to hop on board right now, given that everything that is public suggests that we will be playing in the Big 12 for another 4 years and everyone there (including maybe the refs) will hate us. That sounds like a beating. Even if we're telling everyone it will be sooner, it's pretty easy for A&M/Bama/etc. to just point to every single public statement we and the SEC has made.
  18. Once failed. He didn't fail at Washington - he left to take a better gig.
  19. Complete rebuild for the Cubs.
