  1. I get the sentiment, but we held one of these teams to a couple of runs and were two errors away from beating them and likely being in the CWS. We didn’t have the consistency, but the idea that we couldn’t be competitive with them for a couple of games seems overly pessimistic.
  2. Mr. Worldwide... What starts here, changes the world.
  3. Are you expecting recruiting to take a downturn in the SEC? Conference outcomes only get you into the playoff in conferences where only the champion makes the playoffs.
  4. I don't necessarily disagree with the overall sentiment, but to focus on one year seems dumb. Otherwise we should definitely scratch Jay Johnson off the list, as LSU had a worse season than we did and also lost in a regional.
  5. Apparently he also has some struggles with overmatched competition...
  6. I, for one, would definitely check out at least the first game where Clark was playing 1 on 5, just to see what it would look like.
  7. How many of the current head coaches in the SEC would we want? Schlossnagle, Vitello, O'Sullivan, Corbin, Jay Johnson, Van Horn seem like upgrades or at least possible upgrades.

    Rowing

Any idea where what conference we are going to be rowing in next year? Is the SEC going to start sponsoring rowing?
  9. It looks like Coach Murphy won Big 12 coach of the year and decided to peace out:
  10. If it's up to A&M, it looks like the game will be on Saturday going forward:
  11. Does this mean the A&M game will stay on Saturday?
  12. A to-be-announced global superstar?
  13. This seems bad for our men’s team.
  14. The solution is obviously to find a great player on a mid-major that has not transferred yet and poach his coach to be an assistant and then the portal opens for players on that team.
  15. I'm not sure if you wrote this or copied it from somewhere, but I think the conclusion of Title IX not applying is far from certain. And the last part about competent lawyers is definitely not correct. As just one example, see https://www.hklaw.com/en/insights/publications/2023/12/lawsuit-with-claim-of-unequal-access-to-nil-opportunities-raises. This was about the access to NIL opportunities when the schools were not even handling NIL. It's much closer to an NIL issue now that schools will apparently be paying it out themselves.
  16. If Texas ends up in Charlottesville, I'm going to have to drive down for that one. That would be fun.
