  1. Any coach that gives Eric Stevenson a scholarship deserves every bit of the shitstorm that follows.
  2. My brothers first job after college (KSU) was as a mechanical engineer for Trane Corp in LaCrosse. I have been familiar with the area since 1980 or so. But, yeah, it's really scenic. Unlike Ames. Or Wichita.
  3. All 2-lane from MC. One of the pleasures of selling equipment to Mom & Pop companies is getting to see some remote and scenic areas that I would never see otherwise.
  4. @Al_4_ISU I've been close to your home. I drove from Mason City to LaCrosse, WI one time. No idea the exact route but we couldn't have been far away.
  5. Zoom in on Wonsevu, KS and I'll wave backatcha.
  6. "They don't think it be like it is, but it do" - Ben Franklin
  7. There is a lot of smoke. NiL jumped big time when Brown was fired and it’s rumored that Koch et al want Jans. We shall see
  8. He was my favorite Shocker when the shit hit the fan here. Real nice guy. time for Jan’s to come home now.
  9. Atta boy Burton!
  10. My brother in York, ME just texted that it's coming down at a 2"/hr rate. We're flying out there next Thursday. Get this shit outta the way.
  11. That beta cuck did! Did I do that right?
  12. My wife's grandmother was a real battleaxe. She swore that Charlois beef was tough and flavorless because her mouthbreathing son worked the kill chute at Iowa Beef and told her as much. She always bought a quarter of beef from us whenever we butchered a critter from our 500 head feedlot. We made sure her portion came from a white hided animal. My wife always smiled when that old bag would rave about her beef.
  13. Yeah. This should be a lesson to every school that can give the head job to the interim guy. He did well with Marshall’s leftovers but they all transferred out the following year. he hasn’t been able to recruit to the same level Marshall did. Odd because he was the lead recruiter and good at it. Two years down the drain.
  14. Good info. We are camping at McKinney Falls in April, I'll be sure to bring a better flashlight.
  15. Thanks guys. I've been to all those places but I wasn't in snake mode. Google says they are commonly found in the trees. Is that where you focus when looking specifically for them?
  16. Yes, yes it is.
  17. Are the rough green snakes common in the S. Austin/San Marcos area? I really want to see one of those in the wild.
  18. @DougO Do you have a site? You're up.
  19. My brother, my daughter and I are trying to decide where to do a meetup so I'll hit you up when we have figured it out.
  20. Thanks! I smell a couple of roadtrips.
  21. And get lots of burro pics
  22. Every once in a coon's age we can see them here in Central KS. Not nearly as vivid as it is up north but visible nonetheless. Not sure how long coons live but every 10-15 years.
  23. Herman never met Hermann
  24. Herman Goering was my Dad's uncle but he never met Hermann. Caught a lot of shit stateside, during WWII, though.
  25. We talking Adolf or Bobby Hitler?
