  1. I pretty much keep my mouth shut around here. I check this thread a couple times every day, though. Some entertaining motherfuckers posting here, for sure.
  2. It's not a purge but it's a start. Moore exercised Matheny's option for next year so I don't know yet if he will be retained but I'm pretty sure that CalfuckingEldred will be gone. A couple extra million to make MM go away shouldn't be a big thing. My biggest question is whether JJ Picollo will be an improvement as GM using his own brain. It has been pretty evident that he was only a puppet for Moore up to now. Time will tell. From 1970 up until the original owner, Ewing Kaufman, died the Royals were one of the best run franchises in baseball. It's a shame to see how far this organization has fallen in the years since. I have been a fan from the beginning but it has been tough. I HAVE seen a Championship more recently than Yankees fans have so I have that going for me.
  3. If this is for anything other than a front office purge, I'm gonna do something rash. The Athletic did a piece on how bad the Royals pitching development has been and put the bulk of the blame on Dayton Moore. Moore shot back in another interview and called the reporting false and cowardly. It wasn't a good look being that unaccountable. Maybe Sherman has had/seen enough. This is like waiting for Christmas morning.
  4. There has been a lot of good advice so far. Listen to these assholes, they are a remarkable collection. I'm sending all of the good thoughts I can. Hang in there, Man.
  5. He had a pretty remarkable transformation. He went from being really obnoxious to somebody that was pretty cool. Every so often I scroll through the photography thread and see some of his posts. Gives me pause.
  6. For a quick minute, I thought Phlegm was back.
  7. TBH, this was my take as well. I tried it and was pleasantly surprised. I can shoot a goose from my back deck anytime I would want to and I just might do it now. In season, of course.
  8. Mid morning snack. The darker summer sausage is smoked Canada Goose. Delicious. I’m not sure what kind of cheese was in it but it was bland. Shoulda left it out. The other sausage needed help. No flavor. One of our customers made both and sent it home with our field tech. Call me Brat, I can’t get it to rotate and don’t care enough to try harder.
  9. Put a thatch roof on that bitch and it will purty right up.
  10. Chad Briscoe Disease
  11. If you don't mind, I'm in favor of you posting a couple of these every week. Echoes, if you please. Well, shit. I posted before I watched the first vid. I went straight to "angry Floyd". This is the best part of Echoes. Muchas gracias
  12. Me too. Daughter bought the tickets for my birthday.
  13. When Kevin Harlan was doing PBP on the Chief's radio broadcasts, Lenny was the color guy. He was never afraid to tell it like it was and pulled no punches. Very refreshing compared to the cheerleaders that they have had since he left. I'm glad things worked out for Harlan and he was able to rise the ranks but I really miss the banter between those two. Lenny was the best. Like somebody upstream posted, Len was working local TV while he was still playing. He did it all, news, weather and sports. Whatever was needed. RIP, Lenny. You will always be my favorite Chief.
  14. What the fuck? Interesting.
  15. Your living room video reminded me of seeing them at Arrowhead in KC in '94. Except you didn't have a huge weed cloud drifting around.
  16. Have a nice day? Nope. That's Mister Bill
  17. Goddamit, I miss Rick Wright. If I had the power to bring back one dead rocker I'm not so sure it wouldn't be him.
  18. In lieu of a "groan" emoji. Good job.
  19. 2,1. Because shoes.
  20. Pretty sure there is an exemption if it is above the Arctic Circle
  21. Thanks, Mister Flinthead. I knew you would have my back.
  22. As you may or may not know, there is a mental health thread in "Can You Help Me With This?" that has a lot of good info and supportive help for anybody dealing with mental health issues and general well being. I'm on my phone and unable to post a link but it won't be hard to scroll down and find the thread. @cactusflinthead and @Lidig8r are a couple of the more prominent keepers of the flame in that thread. Check it out.
  23. I doubt this will help but I remember a story about a pitcher and a batter that had a spat and then became teammates before the retaliation took place. They stayed on the same team for several years and became friends before one of them was traded away. The next time they faced each other, the batter got drilled. When asked why, the pitcher said that he owed it to him. I'm pretty sure it was back in the 70s or maybe earlier.
