Last January I had my regular 6 months visit to my doctor to have my A1c checked and whatnot. I had not been diligent in my sugar avoidance over the Holidays and my number had jumped to almost 9. It had been 6.5 prior to that. Doctor wanted me to switch away from metformin to something else. I said ,no, I want to get back to my regular sugar-free ways, do more walking and see if we could get it back down. I went back yesterday for my visit and my A1c was at 6.9 and I am 11 pounds lighter. She was impressed.
I do have a stress fracture in my right foot, probably from the walking and hiking. That sucks.
“I understand what Canada has in place right now. That’s the only reason that I would think about getting it at this point is to go to Canada,” Merrifield said. “That might change down the road. Something happens, and I happen to get on a team that has a chance to go play in Canada in the postseason, maybe that changes.”
Hell of a teammate, right? We suck so I'll stick to my standards but if I get traded to a contender I'll give them up.
As you should. I really want to go but I'm not 1%. Tough choice but I'll sit this out. Have fun for me.
Our 50th anniversary is coming up and we have booked a lot of travel to celebrate.
I shot an 80 with two dbls to win the 70-74 age flight at our annual Seniors Open in Marion. Our tallgrass rough is waist high and I stayed out of it all day. Had a lot of birdie putts and made none but lots of easy pars. All in all a good day. 8 guys in my flight so it wasn’t a gimme.
This is an internet buddy from a KC Royals forum. Don't hold that against him, he covers a lot of interesting topics from Steamships to sustainable land management and beyond. It's Missouri-centric but most of the conservation talk applies to most any geographic area.
The lower left quordle was a motherfucker for me today. I figured it out but I had to construct a letter ladder to get it visualized. Left it and came back a couple times before it popped into focus. I'm pretty sure that these puzzles are helping keep the brain plaque at bay.
My wife has those covered but 3 is lacking. She grew up on a farm/ranch with a 500 head feedlot. She can back a haywagon down a feedlot alleyway. Parallel park? Child's play. Cook anything more challenging than a hamburger? Not so much. There is always a tradeoff.
I worked for my carpenter grandfather the summer of '66. We stripped all of the asbestos siding from an oilfield shack and dumped it into an abandoned trench silo. No shits given.
@'stache I'm heading to Tulsa Thursday to pick up some patio furniture and play golf. I need a burger rec for the US 66, I-44 area. I'm pulling a trailer so I don't want to go downtown unless you insist. Playing Cherokee Hills after lunch.
