  1. Canadiens have been really sloppy with the puck. And as I type that they score. 2-1
  2. I play right handed but I'm amphibious. They forced me to the right side when I started school. Anyway, the LH putter approach isn't that farfetched. I have access to LH tools and will try it. It worked for Notah Begay.
  3. You are correct. I know this. I say all that in my head and then, stiffer than a wedding dick.
  4. on any putt inside of 10'. I cannot get the putter triggered. I cannot develop a pre-putt routine that allows me to seamlessly take the putter away. When I finally get the putter to move, it is ,of course, jerky and halting. This has been brewing for almost a year but I hit rock bottom Sunday. I missed 3 putts inside of 4' that cost me about $45 in winnings. This is particularly maddening because I went 30 years being an excellent short putter. I have changed putters, stance, grip, you-name-it within the last couple of months. Nothing has made a difference yet. I am only afflicted while putting for real. I can practice putt without any hint of trouble and any putts over 10' don't lock me up. The two putter swings as part of my pre-shot routine are smooth as silk. I used a standard Zebra mallet with a 1.3" oversize Stroke-saver grip for almost 30 years until I thought I needed a change up. I have been using a TaylorMade White Smoke MC 72 for the last few weeks without any better results. Maybe they are too similar to jar me loose. My buddy has 2 Scotty Camerons that I used with horrible results. The lighter heads made me swing harder and that made the spasm even more pronounced. Talk mean to me, ridicule me, whatever but I need help. What do you think, Doctor?
  5. If only Back in the 80s, we tore out our sand greens and put in bentgrass greens. There was a firm out of Texas going all across Kansas designing and building these 9-hole courses. One of our members had a kid going to school to be a golf course designer so we had him design ours rather than use the plans that most others use. Anyway, there was a LOT of night putting after the greens were established.
  6. The course superintendent just texted that a couple of the guilty have come forward. He was the HS principal here for 25 years until he retired 2 years ago. He knows these kids well and has to deal with their shit again. They are going to work off the debt and help fix the green. I voiced the opinion that they were getting off light and some of the other members were quick to say I was out of touch. Maybe I am, but giving these fuck trophies a few hours of basically community service chaps my ass. I have some leftover crawfish tail meat.
  7. I'll rec any mention of chicken hearts. I fry them like I would any other chicken part. How do the latinos do it?
  8. This isn't trivial but we don't have an "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore" thread. Some member's HS aged kids took carts out on the course after dark. This is the worst of the damage so it could have been much more work to fix. I really want to take a 9-iron to the jacked up 4X4s these entitled pricks were gifted by mommie and daddy. More subtle ideas are welcome as well.
  9. I had both of mine done in 2005. The last x-ray showed no wear. Get it done and don't look back. Eta: last x-ray was in January this year. Point is the replacements are long lasting.
  10. hayzeus fuck, that looks painful. How did it all come to this?
  11. Coarse grind all beef bologna. Sweet pickle relish, diced onions, celery seeds, salt and pepper. I sometimes add japs. I add Miracle whip for lube but mustard works too. Cut the top off of a tomato and lay it open like a flower. Put a big dollop of the salad on top and enjoy. Cool summer treat.
  12. CSB alert. When I was a kid, there was a guy that lived next door that built dirt track cars. He had some family that would visit from time to time from California. One of those visiting kids, named Rick, was my age so we would play baseball, hide & seek, whatever was going on with the neighborhood kids. We were hardly close, the neighbor moved away and I never gave him another thought. Until Indy 1978 and my Mom informed me that Rick Mears, on the front row, was the kid I had played ball with. I became a fan and naturally became a Penske fan as well. Hence my Marlboro fascination.
  13. Post everything that you have, please. ETA: The Marlboro livery gave me wood.
  14. This is what I miss about Indy from my younger days. You never knew until May what was going to show up at the track. Lotus running next to an Offy next to a turbine. That is a seriously awesome car.
  15. Balogna salad with swiss, notable only for the first homegrown tomato of the year at the Monkey household.
  16. Floyd #1 but I'm having a hard time picking the second. Bowie, Yes and Paul Simon. Probably Bowie
  17. Hah! Canadian! My Paul Tracy comment was spot on.
  18. Twice with the good advice. If nothing else, this thread exists to let us know we are not alone and help exists. I hope you can find some peace, Brother.
