  1. The wife and I are going to chase from Abilene, KS to Kit Carson. We'll have room in the truck if anybody wants to go along. I promise not to leave your body in the sage flats.
  2. Guy in Wichita that has a golf shop, Sticks 96. Former club pro. https://www.sticks96golf.com
  3. Owen Wilson You fuckers are slipping
  4. Update: I had a session with a teaching pro to see if there might be a fix. He watched me putt for about 5 minutes and had me try to make 5 in a row from about 5'. I struggled with that after making the first couple. He noticed that at address I had the shaft leaning away from the ball, increasing the putter loft as it were. He had me address the putt, take a look at the hole, forward press the shaft and use that motion as a trigger. Instant improvement. We played around with a putter that has adjustable grip weights and settled on adding 75 grams to the shaft. 5 in a row was much easier with the press and counter balanced putter. Big improvement. With more weight between my hands it is much easier to have a smooth takeaway and putter strike. I played in a senior tourney today and shot 80, took 5th in my age group and cashed 2/3 of my entry. Its still not feeling completely natural but Im getting my head wrapped around it. Thanks for all the replies.
  5. The skin that forms on non-instant chocolate pudding is the best. Banana pudding skin is almost as glorious.
  6. I thought that was Pete Rose for a moment. Or Owen Wilson.
  7. I didn't see anything tonight to make me think it won't be a sweep. Tampa took their lunch money and sent them away crying.
  8. You have to play to the horn, buzzer, whistle, what the fuck have you. Habs defense did not. Two chances to deflect and they did not
  9. This is actually the case. The yips diminish as the intake goes up.
  10. Really like the intro to this. Manu Katche was the drummer on the studio version, not sure if this is him. Oleta Adams is great. It is not, duh
  11. The caring is the issue, for sure. I was so good on shorter putts for so long that when I missed a few I started to question everything and it all sort of avalanched from there. I had a reputation to uphold, dammit. I played last night and missed one 4 footer but made 3 putts from 10'+. The miss was a breaking L-R downhiller , but my trigger was better and the takeaway was smoother. I'm a lot calmer than I was when I started this thread. I have a session with a putting whisperer scheduled for Friday so I'm hopeful.
  12. This might be the longest this thread has gone without being bumped. Y'all OK?
  13. I don't know. Lightning bullied them pretty good. I'm not sure the Habs can stand up to them.
  14. Wow! See something new all the time. Slapped it out of midair. 3-1 TB
  15. Canadiens have been really sloppy with the puck. And as I type that they score. 2-1
  16. Nah. I breathe through my eyelids.
  17. I play right handed but I'm amphibious. They forced me to the right side when I started school. Anyway, the LH putter approach isn't that farfetched. I have access to LH tools and will try it. It worked for Notah Begay.
  18. You are correct. I know this. I say all that in my head and then, stiffer than a wedding dick.
  19. on any putt inside of 10'. I cannot get the putter triggered. I cannot develop a pre-putt routine that allows me to seamlessly take the putter away. When I finally get the putter to move, it is ,of course, jerky and halting. This has been brewing for almost a year but I hit rock bottom Sunday. I missed 3 putts inside of 4' that cost me about $45 in winnings. This is particularly maddening because I went 30 years being an excellent short putter. I have changed putters, stance, grip, you-name-it within the last couple of months. Nothing has made a difference yet. I am only afflicted while putting for real. I can practice putt without any hint of trouble and any putts over 10' don't lock me up. The two putter swings as part of my pre-shot routine are smooth as silk. I used a standard Zebra mallet with a 1.3" oversize Stroke-saver grip for almost 30 years until I thought I needed a change up. I have been using a TaylorMade White Smoke MC 72 for the last few weeks without any better results. Maybe they are too similar to jar me loose. My buddy has 2 Scotty Camerons that I used with horrible results. The lighter heads made me swing harder and that made the spasm even more pronounced. Talk mean to me, ridicule me, whatever but I need help. What do you think, Doctor?
  20. If only Back in the 80s, we tore out our sand greens and put in bentgrass greens. There was a firm out of Texas going all across Kansas designing and building these 9-hole courses. One of our members had a kid going to school to be a golf course designer so we had him design ours rather than use the plans that most others use. Anyway, there was a LOT of night putting after the greens were established.
  21. The course superintendent just texted that a couple of the guilty have come forward. He was the HS principal here for 25 years until he retired 2 years ago. He knows these kids well and has to deal with their shit again. They are going to work off the debt and help fix the green. I voiced the opinion that they were getting off light and some of the other members were quick to say I was out of touch. Maybe I am, but giving these fuck trophies a few hours of basically community service chaps my ass. I have some leftover crawfish tail meat.
