That might work too, but that hand clutch makes it real handy to just ease forward a bit.
Nothing worse than pulling a calf that has been dead for a bit. I had to burn a fairly new denim jacket because no amount of washing could get rid of the stink after one of those.
I need to see it with the lid removed. If it is just a ring around the perimeter with an empty middle, I'd eat it but would be disappoint. If it spirals all the way to the center, I would ask for seconds.
God dammit, I'm doomed. I thought of a couple of things, they were mentioned early in the thread. The list kept getting longer as the thread got longer and I realized that the only thing mentioned that I wouldn't binge was a soft drink. Hate that shit. I even like the Cope. I'll likely infarct any minute now.
I'm not sure which "Fuck Cancer" thread is correct but this one came up first using search.
A good friend's wife called me today to tell me that George had passed yesterday. He had been undergoing chemo for a cancer that was somewhere in his abdomen, they never told any of use what the precise type was. I guess it really doesn't matter, it took him and I'm struggling with it now. I first met him when he was hired to do some programming for some industrial equipment we built. He had an EE degree from Wichita State so he and I bonded quickly. We spent a lot of time on the road doing installs and we got to know each others families. We met up at WSU basketball games and had beers together afterwards. Just a great guy. I was pretty composed until his wife told me that I should give her a call if I need to talk to someone. Fuck cancer, indeed.
I tried to find a mounting block for the Parker-Hale front sight that I am using on my Martini build. My smith is wanting to get the barreled action polished and any of the parts that need to be stuck to the barrel silver soldered in place. Rather than wait til I found the correct block, I whittled a couple of these this weekend and sent one of them out to Colorado this afternoon. Good thing that I made two because this one had one of the dovetail angles messed up. I left the riser tall so that he can cut it to the correct height after he gets the receiver peep mounted.
If any of you are heading to western KS for pheasant season, I will recommend the Barn in Burrton, KS. Burrton is on US-50, pretty much where the transition from quail country to pheasant habitat begins. They have a chicken fried steak that's as good as any I have had in Texas. It isn't as big as the one at the Beehive in Albany but I struggle to eat all of that anyway.

Yeah, he even stacked the buns so they wouldn't fall over and ooze onto the plate. There is not enough disregard for drop and slop to fit this thread.
I would eat all of that and lick the plate til I got a paper cut though.
I think @Horn Draoi is correct. That doesn't look like case hardened steel. I used to have a jar of bone fragments and such from Brownells for color case hardening small parts and it was pretty easy to do. Looks to me like Winchester should be asked to make it right. Make sure to tell them to be sure to keep the portrait of Jesus by the sideplate.
