  1. theMonkey checking in. I passed a kidney stone a couple of weeks ago, lwr right side back pain and a swollen scrotum being the prime indicators. The swelling went down but the back pain persisted. Finally went to the Doc yesterday and he diagnosed it as sciatica. My urine was clear of blood and he took blood to determine if my kidney function was correct. We are waiting on the lab results before he verifies the sciatica. He said he could get a long needle and cortisone it or I could do a regimen of anti-inflammatories. I am Type II diabetic, A1c of 6-6.5, so I'd rather not do the pills. Anything else that I might try before I consent to the needle?
  2. Same here. For us, it has been at least 30 years since we have had a trick or treater. Nobody wants to risk getting the Volvo dirty for a couple of tootsie rolls.
  3. I use PVC a lot but not for carpentry. We build equipment to fill lead acid batteries from PVC. It saws and drills easily and there are several solvent type glues that make good bonds and joints. The guys from TOH claimed it was easy to use. I am not expert.
  4. Something like this. https://www.hbgcolumns.com/categories/columns/pvc-column-wraps/permawrap
  5. I saw an episode of This Old House where they did that using solid white PVC. I don't have a clue how it compares price-wise.
  6. I use this. Works better than tweezers IMO.
  7. Segura was positioned to turn two. Or not.
  8. Segura back on top.
  9. Up and down game for segura. I don’t remember a sequence like that before.
  10. If you should decide to take an extended railfan picture trip, come up here and I can show you around some of the Santa Fe route through the Flint Hills. You could sell a lot of those to the SF employees around here. There are some beautiful cuts through the hills between Emporia and El Dorado and quite a few abandoned buildings and depots. One of my wife's HS classmates is a retired SF engineer in Strong City. I don't know if that gives him access to anything special but he likes to talk about it.
  11. It wasn’t as polished as a Gilmour show and the soundboard could have been better but I enjoyed the hell out of it. Getting to hear the older stuff with even a hint of authentic PF involved is good enough for me.
  12. They just did “Set The Controls” and knocked it out of the park. This is so fucking good.
  13. Glad to hear it. Really looking forward to tonight.
  14. HPU says “enough of this. Let’s go home”
  15. And of course my boy Bohm makes the first out.
  16. I’ve never rooted for Harper before. This feels odd.
  17. Sure glad Atlanta extended this guy.
  18. Yep, coulda scored from 2nd
  19. That was Hosmer level dumb but he’s safe so I won’t say it out loud.
  20. I laughed but I was nodding my head too.
  21. Nah. Your grip.
  22. If she is/was a Mennonite, I'm her cousin.
  23. I'll buy a copy of the BNSF in the wind farm if you will sell. also any E9 or F9 Santa Fe's that you encounter need to be photographed. That's an easy sale.
