Before anybody actually travels to KC, God forbid, to see these airliners and such let me correct something. This is NOT the TWA Museum, it is the Airline History Museum. Separate organizations within 1/4 mile of each other.

Can anybody explain to me how the PTBNL works? Boston is still waiting for 2 players from the Royals for the Benintendi trade. Would they normally have been offered a fixed list or does that the pool of players change as the roster churns? I haven't paid much attention to these things but it seems like the trades are usually finalized before this much time has passed.
A few more pictures from inside the Connie. These are the rear First Class seats with the sleeper berths. I was standing by the bathroom door when I took these but I should have taken a picture of the johns. They had a His and Hers, unlike the one-size-fits-all approach of modern airliners. There isn't any overhead stow space but there was a lot of room underneath the seats.
CSB, the folks that you see climbing the steps to get in the Connie were there with their two boys. They were in line to get in and the creditcard reader ways having troubles. The staff was taking cash only and they didn't have enough. They were going to leave to get cash but my wife took some money out of her purse and paid for them. The kids followed us around the rest of their time there like we were grandparents. Hope we built up a little karma.
I went to the TWA Museum in KC Saturday. They have a DC-3 and a Constellation that are both operational but both are currently grounded due to a lack of funds for some required maintenance and inspection. It is in a small hangar at the old Downtown Airport and stuff is really crammed in there. It made it tough to get any full shots of the display. For @Armybrat
The last three pics are the last surviving Northrop Delta, a De Havilland Dove and a Martin 404.
We postponed that because of the rain. We spent extra time in KC doing some small museums including a TWA museum. They have a restored Connie and a DC-3 that is waiting on engines. I'll post some pictures in the airplane thread when I get a chance. I know you're a fan of those planes.
Yesterday was our 48th anniversary. Mrs themonkey and I are leaving for KC in a little bit to take in the KC/Det ballgame tomorrow evening. Going to spend a couple days afterwards at Lake of the Ozarks. Might rut like weasels but probably won't. You never know.
Valentina's moving to Buda.

This pleases me greatly.
Went to the local Dollar General to pick up some AA batteries. It recently re-opened following an arson attempt. I asked the checkout lady if they had done anything to the dumbass teenager that set the fire. She gave me an icy stare and said her son was innocent until proven guilty.

Absolutely this. I hate cold call visits or you stopping by to see how we are. I'm not your fucking friend. I buy shit from you and I will let you know when I need more shit. And you wear too much cologne, fucker.
