  1. One daughter, probably too old to hang with that crew. I really fucked up that sentence. I might have been distracted.
  2. An indigo is at the top of my list. Badass snake.
  3. This guy is a friend of my daughters. He is on the piano faculty at the music school she is part of.
  4. We call those Blacksnakes in Kansas but they are actually a species of Rat snake, Pantherophis obsoletus. They can get well over 6' long and as big around as my wrist. They are probably the most common snake in these parts. That looks like the same snake we have here. ETA, wiki says that they are found west of the Mississippi. Not sure what you have there.
  5. This sucks. We always ate at least one meal there whenever we visit our daughter. Like Brisket, I liked the food just fine. Lots of memories.
  6. Kinda looks like Sarah Jessica Parker.
  7. Dammit @Beau Vine, you made me tear up. I don't know who @katiedaymusic16 is but that music is perfect for the video. The lyrics are outstanding. Don’t let em say it’s just a game And there are better things to do 'Cause we’re all lookin' for a reason, for a story, for something to hold onto We’ve had rhythm all along Artists, storytellers, gods And we’ve always had a game to play so don’t tell me it don’t matter if it’s gone As our sons become fathers And our fathers fade away Then the time comes when even we are gone Lord willin', whoever’s left still plays All these holy grounds we’ve built And these gods we’ve come to know They find us when the days are long and leave us in the winter dark and cold But now the weeks are ticking by And I can’t measure out the time Does the grass outside keep growin, do they mow it, do they keep the fields just right And as our girls become mothers And our mothers fade away Then the time comes when even we are gone Lord willin', whoever’s left still plays So don’t you say it’s just a game Like you got better things to do 'Cause we’re all lookin' for a hero, for a savior, for a god We’re all lookin' for distractions and to have a little fun We’re all lookin' for a drink or drug or person who can take away the pain We’re all lookin' for a game to play Motherfuck, I miss baseball.
  8. I keep a badminton racquet in my shed for just such a thing
  9. Different strokes and all that, I rather enjoy it. Her older sis is quite alluring as well.
  10. Wake snagged a good one. Forbes was on my short list of coaches to replace Marshall if he ever leaves. If Pearl hadn't fucked SF over at Tenn, he would have already been a Head Coach instead of rehabbing his rep at WSU and ETSU. Fred VanVleet and Ron Baker speak highly of Forbes. I expect him to do well. Oh yeah, one more thing. Fuck Bruce Pearl
  11. Peepholes?
  12. The county I'm in doesn't have a wide variety. Black snake, Rat Snakes, Racers and assorted garter types are plentiful. Go 1 county east or west and you get into the rattlesnakes and copperheads. I've never seen a venomous snake around home. It's a constant struggle to educate folks around here to not kill every snake they see. Same as it ever was.
  13. Southcentral Kansas. These are the prairie subspecies. Probably the same as Texas but I'm not certain of that.
  14. Shouldn't be a problem. They are everywhere around my house. My property includes an abandoned quarry. You can't turn over a rock without exposing one of these.
  15. I've had it with these motherfuckin' snakes on this motherfuckin' plain. Ringnecks under my mineral feeder. Too chilly for them to wiggle away.
  16. New bar of soap in my shower.
  17. I don't have to explain myself to you
  18. Little Debbie's Oatmeal Creme sandwiches
  19. Mom said I was stocky, not fat.
  20. Top stone is held by my 6'7", 230 lb buddy. The lower pic is 5'10", 230 lb me.
  21. 2 miles east of my house My house Big difference.
  22. Marion, Chase county area. The storm blew up right over my place and got much stronger as it moved east. Neighbors and I were getting ready to burn our adjoining pastures when it started to sprinkle. Never lit a match and 30 minutes later we had hail and more than an inch of rain . Just got back to the garage before the big stuff fell.
  23. Yeah. This after I and a couple hundred neighbors took golf ball hail yesterday. Adjusters are gonna be busy checking roofs the next couple of weeks. Pretty sure mine is toast.
