  1. Just because YOU don't think there are exceptions, doesn't mean there aren't for others. Do you think I am the only person who has this view?
  2. I think a lot of people who are pro-life (not all though) would change their view if their wife or daughter was impregnated as the result of incest or rape. To me, those are the exceptions along with the mother's life at risk and some medical condition that would lead to the child living an awful life or suffering.
  3. https://www.justice.gov/eoir/page/file/fysb16/download#page=49 It's probably worse now with Trump in office.
  4. How are you drawing this conclusion from what was said?
  5. It was 39% in 2016. That's not "most" but its still a huge number of people (52000+ in 2016).
  6. I think he means the H-2B. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H-2B_visa
  7. Because those positions are filled with illegals by companies that do not have harsh penalties imposed on them. If those companies were forced to only hire legal workers, the amount of people in the guest worker program would grow.
  8. Asking someone to go to a port of entry and then presenting their case to a judge is racist? Never knew that.
  9. I'm sure he means she goes once a week.
  10. How about anyone who is not a criminal, goes through the process, and is approved by an immigration judge? Any objections?
  11. The goal would be to fill those jobs with legal workers (guest worker program) and penalize employers for hiring illegals. Less jobs, lower demand, less incentives to come here illegally or hire illegals.
  12. I did not read one good argument in either of those.
  13. Do they give any reason why? Is it because they think it should be up to the individual states to issue ids?
  14. You always say this but I have yet to see anyone on here say this is a bad idea. I like it.
  15. Yes. I was responding to ChiTownDoc's post. If anyone thought we wanted to deter war, it was because they were in denial, not because the mission statement said it.
  16. They eliminated the deter war part. I don't think that was ever the mission at all. At least now they are being honest about wanting to be in everyone's affairs.
  17. Out of sight, out of mind for some people.
  18. Require companies to use E-Verify. Impose heavy, per illegal immigrant penalties on any company or person that employs an illegal immigrant. Use a guest worker program where workers will be given a guest worker id. As long as the guest workers are working, not committing crimes, and can still be sponsored by their employer, their contract can be renewed.
  19. They should go after them, but they won't because it would hurt their bottom line if they have any employed.
  20. Of all of the reasons, this is the weakest one.
  21. I agree with that.
  22. The question that was asked was when does it stop being a group of cells and start being a person? And TO ME when I saw my children's heartbeat, I believed they were a person and not a group of cells.
  23. You must have just skipped over pages of posts yesterday when someone asked when a baby is a person. I said that when I saw my child's heartbeat I knew it was a person. Other's argue that it's not a person until it can survive outside the womb, which I don't agree with. If someone was a rape victim, they would have good cause to assume they could be pregnant. I'm sorry, did I force this person to make a video and post it online for everyone to see? Nope, just searched google for Katee Life and this other girl came up.
  24. What is there to figure out? Saying it needs to be improved doesn't mean that it will be easy to be solved.
  25. More like life panels, AKA doctors. They should be able to determine if the mother's life is at risk. If they are shady and lie to skirt the rules, they will have consequences also.
