ROFL BOX - I sympathize about shoddy work, and short cuts taken by builders and contractors, after doing a fair amount of remodeling.  What always amazes me is the shortcuts are almost always ones, that either 5 minutes, or a few hundred dollars could have made a huge difference in quality.  The one thing I HATE about my house is that they did a double pitch roof, with another small low pitch between the large pitches to accommodate the space needed for the Air conditioning Plenum.  Had they simply spend a few hundred more I could have had a huge tall attic space with plenty of room to replace the plenum.  Plus it would not have cost any more to roof as the surface area would have been the same.  Now it would be a $5K fix.

Blame @Longhorn_Fan68 - he's an architect, so all derision for shittacular design due to "artist!" goes his way.  Srsly, though, while not him I see a shitload of things that...

    1.  The architect shouldn't have built in.
    2.  The GC should have asked questions about.
    3.  The production manager (if in a tract pre-planned / subdivision) should have spotted.
3a.  In most cases, whether carpentry or roofing, a Texas based sub-crew will be interested in getting shit done, not saying "Hey, this needs ____ & we will come back in 1 week when you have the right parts", assuming they even know English.

Look up the term "Dead Valley on roof" & you'll understand what I mean.

Got the wife a new vehicle recently.  Her old one was 8 years old and 100,000 miles.  She managed for 8 years not to lose the gate opener or the garage door opener.  Lost both the first week in new vehicle.

We all blame you for not programing the remotes into the built-in features for the new vehicle.

good looking mustang, though I would have gone black on the red trim, but that's just me.  There is a guy that looks sort of like an old ex skater that has a very similar Mach 1 that frequents Gloria's int he Domain.

I am not even remotely well versed in Mustangs to know what is concourse or factory for these, so I can't discuss or debate that idea.

    I only know 2 things:

    1.  I'd sure as hell like to get my Stepmother's '64½ (with the 170 hp I-6, unfortunately) in either Guardsman or Skylight Blue... that she has owned since brand new
    2.  I wouldn't mind having a hopped up version of the pic posted below - not really a fan of the Fastbacks as much as the early Coupes.

A real 66 GT for sale, really sharp car.  Fastbacks are getting scarce, and REAL GT's are even harder to find.  Ran across this yesterday during a job site visit.

Numbers matching, etc?  VIN checks out as a "real" GT?

ROFL BOX - you still have me interested on the reroof angle.  But with my lines buried....

All I can tell you is my contracts specifically state we are not responsible for any AC lines or electrical or plumbing or whatever that is in direct contact with the underside of the roof deck & shouldn't be there.  All of that is out of code specifications & there is no way for us to spot that, especially if it's in an area of the attic that is inaccessible for a visual inspection.

Probably 2x a month I see a post in one of my FB roofing groups where someone mentions hitting something that shouldn't be in the spot where it got shot by a nail.

Maybe by the time you remember and get it unlocked you won’t be mad at her anymore and not shoot her.   We want you free and not in prison so we can get more posts about your truck breaking down.

Somehow you're confusing a red piece of cloth (as the background) with a weapon?

  7. How do you determine how many down spouts are needed?

That all depends on linear footage, size of gutter & downspout, what the landscape is like, how the yard slopes or flows, where sidewalks, patios or doorways might be in relation to inset or outset corners & all sorts of algorithms.
