  1. & Then when you give her an answer she doesn't like, she refuses to believe you. When you show her the internet says she is wrong well obviously you're an asshole for arguing with her & "You always have to be right, don't you?" Well dear - why are you apparently always wrong?
  2. @McCroskey... 2nd wife, yeh?
  3. While a decent .410 is in my wheelhouse, I'm actually saving up for a nice o/u 12 ga. & your requested $ is around ½ of what I'm expecting to spend on the Double Up shoot'emAgun (as Justin Wilson used ta say).
  4. Agreed... so why she picked THAT hill to die on, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The web is chock full of reasons why she should have acquiesced, but... nope.
  5. The website gave me Seguin & New Braunfels + San Antonio (NW corner... "Mega Center / Leon Valley"). Did not list San Marcos or Marble Falls as an option & I suspect Seguin is a smaller locale than Marble... & Marble is much closer to Drip than Seguin AND the Leon Valley spot. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  6. I don't know where your house is, however tomorrow I will be on 2 projects not far from 183 & MoPac. I could come over around 1730 or later to see what you have for slope, length of run, etc.
  7. Oddly enough, their automated recording says "calls will be answered until 5:40p, CST." Not 5:30... 5:40. Did eventually reach a human around 1725-ish. Now the hard part is to get an appointment @ an office before September.
  8. She argued with me for quite awhile that a "¾ Ton" truck is not the same as a 2500 (Chevy). Showed her multiple resources online that specifically state YES, a ¾ Ton actually IS a 2500." Her: "Well, the vehicle title doesn't state '2500", it says ¾" so you're wrong. " 🤦‍♂️
  9. Everyone's preferences vary. For me, if I'm doing Gumbo it's always seafood.
  10. [Copy / Pasta from a thread I started in a roof group on the Book 'o Faces] . . . . . . . . . . . . ☆hail pics attached, my own photos from what landed @ this property☆ IMO, this is Typical AllSnake shenanigans. Paid for 158 shingles. Hail was 4½" to 5" dia. & I know this for fact because I was @ this house when the hits came down. My house is ~¾ mile away (direct distance / straight line) & my place - including metal roofed structures - was totaled for 6 year old Dimensionals & metal (Snap Locks). My daughter called as the hits were thumping the roof & said she was seeing the same thing I was. I didn't even bother going on my own roof because why? Baseball sized hits & you're totalled. The AllSnake estimate only allows for shingles. Nothing for •A/C • Siding • Exhaust vent cover • Column staining • Detached Rubbermaid shed (damaged skylight & plastic roof) • Vinyl covered carport shed (from Tractor Supply) • Screen, etc. AllSnake didn't send an actual adjuster, they sent an "Investigator" & the statement was "I document with photos & submit this to the company." Wouldn't even use the word "damage". The insured's 30 year old son walked with me & the "investigator" & the two of us pointed out to him all items listed above... everything as noted... & shown in the pics attached here. At a minimum I'm going for the whole roof based on volume & all slopes, but for a 20+ year old dimensional, it won't pass the brittle test for repairs. This is ridiculous. Again, typical AllSnake bullshit. *all statements made are my personal & experienced opinion as to the level of quality & responsiveness that AllSnake is providing to their insured clients* s
  11. Unfortunately, as a "first time convicted" he probably will not sleven get community service.
  12. 1. We do gutters from San Antonio to Wacko, Smithville to Llano / Horseshoe Bay. 2. Sample schematic attached below for info on how to calculate your gutter needs. 3. We don't typically like to do more than 45 feet without a downspout. 4. You can mix downspout colors that are different from the gutter. 5. Most people go with a 6" setup (gutters) & 3 × 4 (downspout). 6. ½ Round are attractive, however they suuuuck for functionality & are consistently overflowed or bypassed by the roof (especially of a metal roof). 7. If you purchase from a place like "Tank Depot" (Ranch Road 12 just N of Fitzhugh here in Drip), sign the "rainwater collection" form & there's no sales tax. 8. For simple things like lawn irrigation (especially Xeriscaping), you don't need a lot other than a soaker hose setup. Any elevated for will get you approx. 3.2 psi per foot, so if you're doing 50 gallon barrels, get those as high off the ground as you can build for & support.
  13. & It's the guys wearing the dresses.
  14. I'm guessing he gets the extra cost damage waiver every time & the counter salesperson gets an un-knowing smile as they swipe that ✔️ on their sales board.
  15. I am maybe considering something similar for my 79 year old Mom; 3 falls inside of 3 weeks (2 in one week, another yesterday). Mom to me: "I read where the CDC says if you fall 3x or more in 3 months you'll be dead within 9 months." Yay for that attitude, Mom.
  16. Monster, 8 days ago: "The Foriegn Exchange Club @ school is having a pot luck & I said you were bringing Gumbo. It's on Thursday." (This was a Monday) Made an 8 quart pot on Thursday & delivered it hot to school by 1620. •2× the slimers (fresh, bot frozen) most people use. •1 lb. Easy peel Gulfshrimps, sliced in ½ (longways) • 1 lb. Bug meat • 1 Regular tub picked crab meat (the food one from HEEB) • 1 Of the small pkgs of Ersters... each piece cut in ½ (very easy to do when semi-froze). Some other schlub made the rice & brought that.
  17. Nothing 17 minutes SW of town. If you're not washing your vehicle, you're not trying hard enough.
