  1. Yeah, that fixed choke was a detriment for sure.

They also have an 870 Wingmaster Magnum for an extra hundo; not sure what that gets me except possibly back to needing high brass.

I may go back for that .410, however.

Anyone in the area with kids should grab that NEF 410 for $150. Think they're tits up and no longer making that very handy, snake killing / kid training firearm.

Yeah, I checked it out.  May go back for it.

  3. They wanted $ 120 for that plastic Plinkster 2 over to the L, that damn thing only retails for $ 130 new.

    Offered $ 100 put the door, ca$h, they countered w/ $ 110+ TTL.

    Walked.

  4. I was in full RealTree overalls, long sleeved R.T. t-shirt & a netted facemask; shed leaf / Ghillie style gloves & a R.T. ballcap.  Other than a single earplug for my shooting side, I had 1 HEB bottle of water & the steel chair.

  5. I know we're conditioned to use blinds (modified outhouses, really) here in Texas; wondering if any of y'all have ever gone to a more rustic hide?

Back around 6 years ago, I took a 7 pt. from the back of my Mom's place & this is the tree laydown I set up.  Not elevated, but still off a feeder (shown in the back L of the pic).

I was sitting on your generic brown steel folding chair (fake rasslin' style) & the Buck I popped was with another of similar size; I hesitated for around 2 minutes trying to decide which one to take & eventually that got answered for me as 1 of them moved out of sight.  The shot was with my L hand on my L knee for stabilization.

  6. I'm thinking this is the "easy to fix" common GM engine, re: water pump, alternator, etc.
Possibly the AC as the "need a shop to fix it" vs. home repairable, etc.?
