    Should not need high brass.

Could be a few things, dirty gun creating more resistance, bad seals venting too much gas, or a still return spring that needs to be broken in. If I thought about it or looked at it I could probably come up with other things.

Hank Fleming looked it over & said all he did was give it a solid, deep cleaning & also said "This gun has to use 'high brass' - that's your problem."

I test Drove a loaded GMC 3.0 monday. I really liked it but the Dealer on has the 1 and they only offered about $1400 off the window sticker. I am prepared to wait them out.

Is he the only dealer available to you?  Hell, other dealers in Texas will have the vehicle delivered to you - internet buying & email can do online what people always had to do in person.  Spread out a bit.

  3. With the pics I've seen, the entire front 1/3 or so of the vehicle is easily shown with a good view of the windshield (which is why I occasionally flip the bird while going through them... for the shits & giggles of anyone viewing the pics), so I think the plate is easily gonna be spotted.  Even then, a dual pic is taken @ the same time, both the front end & rear, so a plate matchup is also done for both ends.

No real understanding of why to put it there.

I did see a Jeep the other day that had the plate on the front where it was attached to the underside of the "approach plate" for their front bumper (30 deg. angle or something like that) & there would be zero possibility for a plate reader to catch that one.  Same idea as the front & rear plate pics as noted ^.

Now, when a motorcycle has the plate tucked up under the rear fender, I don't think the cameras are gonna get that & there's no front plate on those anyhow.

Rox, are high brass the only shells you are putting through it?  Go get some Remington Heavy Dove loads in the Green and Florescent Orange box at Academy and see if they cycle.

    1.  This entire thread needs to be nuked - I erred & didn't see the other one for "General Gun Owners".  Poor search = poor results, I guess.
    2.  Yeah, those generics hang up.  The Heavy Dove don't do shit for this gun.  See other thread for futher info.

    Thx.

PS:  You allowed to shoot off your back fence?
PPS:  Hows the birds moving in your area?  Sucks for me, so far.

  5. The amusing part to me is where Company Executive Family moves into a house & the wife says "yeah, I just have to change _____ & _____ because I didn't design this & I want ____ to look like ____ & ___________________ ", etc. & after a solid year of spending $$$ (planning, searching, designing, then finally executing), then maybe 1 or 2 years in the house, Company Executive gets moved to __________ & the house is sold...

...& Then New Company Executive Family # 2 moves in & wife says "Yeah, I just have to change _______ & ______ because I didn't design this & I want ____ to look like..."

  6. Thanks for the info.

For the sake of expedition, I'm doing a copy / pasta of the email I sent back to AmmoToGo.com.

    Robert,

I had the gun into a well regarded gunsmith located in Austin, Hank Fleming, & retrieved it from him approx. 1 week prior to placing my order with A.T.G.  Y'all are welcome to check with him to confirm.  I had been told that it is possible that the seals were in need of attention & this is what prompted me to bring the gun to him.  512.445.6339 (only answers the phone or accepts work on Monday & Wednesday).

Hank said "No problems found @ all, have it a deep cleaning. All you need is High Brass." [That'll be $ 138, sucka.]

I did not run any ammunition through the gun after picking up from Hank & prior to receiving your shipment.

When I called & placed my order, the specific conversation was about "High Brass" & the A.T.G. representative made specific recommendations based on those needs, hence my order for 2 different products, (1), Fiocchi, for waterfowl & (1), Browning, for what he said was skeet / trap & an added bonus of the product being appropriate for dove.

After my test shots last week when I called (hopefully there are notes), I ran a BoreSnake through the gun & thoroughly cleaned the breech, minus a full "pin removal" teardown.  This DID include a barrel removal once back to my cleaning station & rest.

If the Fiocci operates as intended (tested 2×), I don't see any need to try the Browning in a different 12 ga. auto, however I can ask some friends if they have one I can test out on.

I do understand the nature of ammunition sales; no retailer typically accepts any returns on ammo, even if you change your mind while standing @ the register & have 2 seconds prior completed your transaction & payment.

    Please advise.

    Sincerely,

    ROFL the Boxx

  7. Shot both again today, Fiocchi did fine.

Browning f'd up again, however I _was_ able to manually cycle the shells vs. a total lockup like before.

I need a lower priced skeet round that won't cause me problems with this gun.ef698d98924b2341a97f43d72e2f85e4.jpge50ba1aa4f2d916de9702a97ff13a026.jpg7666506ee3599877f05f3aa02f32c6cb.jpg62ae7c5bae0e4326f1677a17319c24ed.jpg

  8. Suggestions on an "OK" gun cabinet?

I already use MasterLock combo locks for all my guns + a shotgun cable lock for my 30-30 lever action.

I'm in the hunt for something that will merely slow someone down but not be too heavy to move when the time comes to shift locations.

Generic price point you have paid?
