  1. Well... that was interesting. Probably saved myself $ 375++ (field call) AND I guarantee he won't tell anyone what happened however the other horse didn't seem to mind watching. Freak. Keep in mind on size that the nickel piece is flat... this wasn't. T-shirt: "You Ain't Cowboyin' Until You Get The 🫘"

Did I just hear the word "souffle' " used in a hard rock song?

  5. @BabaYaga Did rodeo inconsistently for 2½ years in HS (Bareback & Bulls). Hit the dirt every time, nothing worse than a bruise. Rubber band body for a 16 year old? "Broke to Ride"... total of 6 broken ribs over 15 years / 3 wrecks on 2 horses (last was ~1 year ago). ¿Yay me?
  6. I will call you in the AM. Shit has happened on my end.
  7. Bandit is gonna cost me some dollars. (Trying to put the sheath pic in a "Spoiler" but I'm using the Surly app & not certain if it is working) Bandit
  8. @TexasEd is not far from Deer Creek Elementary & we recently completed a total re-roofing for him.
  9. Didn't we do your roof? Pea? Negligible. Grape? Now we're getting interesting. Golf ball? 😍
  10. Is this your pic or a copy / pasta from FB, etc.?
  11. ScoPro / ArmyBrat's wife is a Taylor Duck. We have a few Drip folks here on Shag² however I don't specifically know anyone (outside of my MiL) with long term roots.
  12. What's the date of loss? (meaning, what day did the potentially covered peril happen? Also, what's your zip code?
  13. Yes, I heard on NPR today (I think it was "Studio 1A") that for more than a few states, if you don't have a named VP then you cannot be on the November / General ballot.
  14. 1. In the Liberty Bibberty commercials, they have the tag line of "Only pay for what you need" when in reality, ALL insurance is "Only get what you actually pay for." i.e. "You aren't getting a new Cadillac for used Camry money." 2. From the opinion of a restoration contractor & insurers we get the most hassles from, "Snake Farm" & "AllSnake" have those deserved reputations within our industry. 3. USAA (again, in my opinion) has gone from a "top 3 best" to "middle quality". They have contracted most of their claims handling to "AllCat" & as a singular example, we are ONLY NOW completing a claim that got started from January '23 (freeze dropped trees onto a house out here in Drip). We had a repeat onsite inspection with a field adjuster from AllCat & he walked around the property with both me & the insured for 90 minutes with him saying "Yes, I get that... OK, that makes sense... Sure, I can see this requirement..." & then when a re-issue of their estimate came out 2 weeks later (much longer than it should have required), he left off probably 1/2 of what he had prior agreed to on this physical re-inspection & when we were FINALLY done with the paperwork another 3 months later, a claim that initially started out as a ~$ 26,500 cost finished up at +$ 55,5000. Again, ONLY GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR & don't expect every insurance estimate to be fully accurate.
  15. No, no, no. Agents typically respond with a lazy "Call & get 3 estimates from roofing contractors". That's a waste of our time. Have the customer get at least ONE estimate to start & move forward from there. Another waste of time is when actually filing a claim (when determined to be valid) is to go through the agent's office. The agent then calls in, gets a claim #, then returns contact with the insured & provides them with the exact same information the insured could get from their portal, website, app or a direct phone call.
